a personal lounge for Joe Youngblood a noted Futurologist, Digital Marketer, Speaker, Author, Entrepreneur, and SEO - in no specific order. I recently removed the NSFW tag as it was getting annoying.
Hi there, I'm Joe and what you see here might be some random notes or ramblings.
Since I spend a lot of time on Reddit I'm experimenting using this subreddit as a bit of a productivity hack and a time capsule. I'll also post links to my blog posts, etc.... so you can follow along with the fun.
FAQ's
Question: Will you give me some free SEO or marketing advice for my website?
Answer: Yes, I offer a 56 point inspection based Free SEO Review via my website.
Question: Did you really predict that people would pay to watch each other stream games?
Answer: Absolutely and nearly every technology firm and investment company laughed at the idea. 2006 was a crazy time.
I started my web development career off with an affiliate mall, then built a streaming radio station, and then I built a gaming video platform for the community 7 years before Twitch existed (AMA HERE). Recently I've tried keeping my focus on the marketing and advertising world creating and running the Reddit Advertising blog to track changes to the Reddit Platform and the Facebook News Feed Algorithm History timeline to track how the News Feed on Facebook has changed over time. I also help run the Fort Worth Blog from time to time.
You might consider this subreddit me talking to me, as a permanent reminder of something I thought or said that I wasn't worried about posting publicly.

We have just updated our agency's robots.txt to block Russia's search engine Yandex and will be applying this to all websites we own (not our client sites).
After watching the horrors the Russian army is unleashing it is a small but symbolic gesture in support of our friends, colleagues, and the free people of Ukraine.
If you wish to do the same here is the code we used:
User-agent: yandex
Disallow: /
We also included ASCII text provided by: https://patorjk.com/software/taag/
to spell out "Slava Ukraine" which I am told means "Glory to Ukraine".

Quick note:
As we march towards an inevitable brand change for the agency, our website has been undergoing some major changes lately.
Today we finalized and launched a changelog to both look back at where the site came from and help track all of the changes that will be made here over the next year or so.
