I've been casually following the J League since 2006, and was curious which teams have the biggest English speaking supporter base? I'd assume Yokohama FM would have one, but are there any others?
Anyone else unable to find the match on AFC Asian Cup’s official YouTube channel? They showed all the group stage matches.
US foreigner here; excited to watch my first J League match live in late May - Cerezo hosting Sanfrecce. I’m just having trouble navigating the Cerezo website to figure out how best to enjoy gameday with the home fans. Should I just show up early and follow the crowds? Any Cerezo bars to hit before or after? Or, even better, if there are any Cerezo supporters who want to show a foreigner around, I’d love a guided experience….
Thanks in advance!
Hi, I'll be visiting Japan on a father-son trip from the US in July and I'm trying/hoping to attend the 7/14 Yokohama F. Marinos vs Kashima Antlers match and I have a few questions.
Thank you in advance!
Going to visit Tokyo for my first time. Just wanted to know if it’s generally okay to wear my Urawa shirt in public? I know it more than likely is but just want to make sure, don’t want to upset people.
I was in Tokyo recently, and I was looking to buy a jersey at a local gear shop with kits. My initial choice was an FC Tokyo jersey, but at the service counter with two guys, I asked the what teams they supported and they both said Kashima Antlers! It got me thinking, what is actually the team in Tokyo with the biggest support? Obviously Kashima have been very successful in the past so this plays a factor. But what team do you see the most support for in the city? ( even if they aren’t based in Tokyo)
I've supported Consa for years now, but this year they're absolutely wretched. Within the first 20 minutes vs Albirex and they should be 2 goals down already. 2 Defenders just looking at the ball on the edge of the box that they've just won, not reacting and letting the opposition gets a shot off that hits the bar. Constantly misplacing short passes. Second to every ball. It's going to kill my ex but I think her hometown team is going down this year. Petrovic has just no new ideas and the players he's got seem to be so limited.
Of course, while I'm typing this out they go and Asano scores a beautiful goal down the other end of the park. But I still have grave fears for their spot in the top flight.
