I got a single ticket to a taping of Jimmy Kimmel next week (woo!) and the instructions indicate that cell phones and "all digital equipment" are forbidden in the studio as well as while you're waiting in line to enter. This can be up to 2 hours of waiting. You also can't bring books, magazines, or similar.

I'm tempted to try and bring my Kindle Paperweight but hesitant as that is likely considered forbidden. How can I stay busy by myself for that long or what was your experience? Should I be googling solo card games?

Have you been? Any advice or must know info? What time did you arrive?

I noticed that they stopped having the musical guest in the upstairs lobby and are now filming them on the main stage. It seems nicer for audience members, as only a sub set of the audience was invited up for the musical act. I was not one of the invited people and missed Duran Duran.

Jimmy Kimmel was and is the worst nighttime host. Ever since he started hosting the late night show I’ve never found his humor to be funny at the very least. He tries but to no avail, for years. Glad he’s finally gone!!!

I was hoping to go to one as an audience and saw they have a separate section for tickets for the musical performance of that day about an hour before the time on the normal audience tickets. Technically, it said registration closed so I'm not sure if you actually do get separate tickets for that or maybe there's know audience at all? Do live audience not see the music performance? I thought they would be included.
