Dear wrestling fans, please help me to find a specific wrestling promotion that I watched on VHS in my childhood. As far as I remember, It was back in 1998. I recall that the seller told me it is a "fight to the death" and I now see that it was very similar to the movie "Shootfighter: Fight to the Death". I recall that the ring had the form of circle and it was black. It had no ropes. (Audience was perhaps the size of TNA wrestling) As far as I can remember, the mode was tournament, i.e. each match eliminated the fighter and finally, there was the final match for the title. I recall that the loser had difficulty standing up and some unknown officials helped them to stand up and leave the arena. (Perhaps it was in this sense the fight to the "death") Now, before every fight, a Japanese man strikes a big gong and the fight starts. It is not WWE style wrestling, it is much more realistic. Another thing that I recall is that some had clothes worn. For example, Champion wore a black Jiu-jitsu clothing. Wrestlers were from different countries. This is all I can remember! What do you think, which promotion it was?
Are there any other redditors who played Killer7 or any other Suda51 video games, and maybe discovered Fire Pro Wrestling and got into Japanese Wrestling (or maybe even wrestling more broadly) through Suda’s work?
Im trying to find a three way match that involves Saki Akai and two other wrestlers but I can't find the name. The first part of the video involved her wrestling with another wrestler while drinking beer and then the main match had water guns. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Make it happened!
Puroresu is the greatest presentation of wrestling I have ever seen.
