Discuss the latest in Japanese fashion or seek advice. Brand and seasonal discussions, opinions, and specific questions always welcome.
“I think perfection is ugly. Somewhere in the things humans make, I want to see scars, failure, disorder, distortion.” - Yohji Yamamoto
We welcome all discussions regarding brands, seasons, pick-ups, opinions, and specific questions related to Japanese fashion. Discussion threads and posts about labels are highly encouraged.
Please google or search for answers to very generalized questions before you post them! We really want this sub to be a place to discuss clothes, NOT just a place to answer questions. Trust me, if you look, you'll find answers to nearly everything you want. Otherwise, try a sub like r/streetwear, they have a much more active userbase.

Kinda a fashion noob but I love the Japanese street wear style and would love to be pointed in the right direction to acquire some cool pieces.
Was looking to find some areas/stores to thrift at, and maybe some good brands for denim that aren’t too expensive.

Hi everyone!
Sorry for the noob questions, I'm not too familiar with Jstreet fashion and am looking for y'all for some seasoned veterans in this topic! I will be going to Japan in a month to shop and my s/o has requested that I hit up some J-Street Fashion shops for him. I wanted to ask if it was possible to kind of know what a store will carry? I think that it might be like the stores in the states where everything is just out in the open and it varies a lot.
Also I was wondering about the etiquette of shopping in these stores? I was primarily going to face-time my partner and walk around the store and basically just be a robot that goes wherever I'm told, but I wanted to make sure it was OK with staff.
Would it be OK for me to just google translate and say "Hi I'm visiting from the states, my partner loves your store and would like for me to shop for him. Is it OK if I am on facetime with him and show him around the store?"
Also a list of the stores that I'm planning on hitting up if anyone has any comments or suggestions or advice from your experiences there, I'd love it!
* Mastermind in Chiyoda City, Tokyo
* Kapital in Shibuya City, Ebisu
* Bape in Shibuya
* Human Made in Shibuya (Parco)
* Kenzo in Shibuya (Parco)
* Bape (Harajuku)
* Beams (Harajuku)
* Undercover (Aoyama, Minato City)
Also if there is any advice that you guys might have that I'm missing for shopping for somebody else I'd be really happy!
Apart from https://www.kapital-webshop.jp/ Is there any other Japanese site that sells Kapital Okabellbo or Rat Flare as they are out of my size. I am looking to buy at a Japanese price rather than mark up foreign price as I have a friend in Japan. Thank you.
Any recommendations for good bootcut or flared jeans
Really like it but can’t find it on the site.
