Trying to identify a song

Heard this clip on a Chinese dating show (Heart Signal 7) and knew it sounded familiar but can't quite place it. Sounds like a Snail's House type track but I don't think it is. Can anyone identify it?

Where do you guys find new artists/releases?

The only place I've found that uploads this kind of music and those that are similar is the megarex YouTube channel but that is usually every couple months, anyone know anywhere else I can go to find new artists?

Discord Server?

Does this sub has a discord server? Also, are there any producers here?

Does anyone know what happened to Fusq?

Hey guys,

I have been really into the artist Fusq ever since I started listening to this genre.

His/Her song "Cutie Cutie" is probably my favorite song ever!

(LInk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SshrAVY-RKY&pp=ygUQZnVzcSBjdXRpZSBjdXRpZQ%3D%3D)

I was looking more into the artist, but it seems that they have not released a song or have any activity online (I don't have Twitter so I couldn't check there). Does anyone know more about them or why they haven't been active for the past 3 years?

Yuc'e Cinderella Syndrome has another version

I wanted to hear Cinderella Syndrome by Yuc'e. So I went to Spotify and noticed that Cinderella Syndrome had a different version and was not in "Future Candy" but in "Romantic Jam"

I'm curious why this is so if anyone has an answer to this, it would feed my weird curiosity, thank you!

Help finding an obscure sample heard often in kawaii inspired music

https://soundcloud.com/toy-331308545/yodel-vocal/s-cOUhN8TjK06?si=f49d1ce14bc447f2ad28c2377606e8bc

I am desperately trying to get my hands on an obscure sample that I've heard in various tracks. It can almost be described as a loud head voice sound that you make by inhaling instead of exhaling. Sounds like yodeling. Looking for the sample found towards the end or similar in timbre.

Some Thoughts on Kawaii Bass

I've loved kawaii bass for a long time, but I sometimes wonder if the genre will be unrecognizable in a few years. With the steady change brought on by influential artists like Snail's House and many others, it feels like the "kawaii bass" I've known for so long will diffuse into the surrounding genre landscape. Perhaps the genre is dying, as this subreddit has little activity itself.

In any case, I'm hoping to keep working on my own music production skills. I'm not all that great now, but I slowly improve in every way I can. I could focus on conserving the sound I remember from several years ago; I'm not sure where to start otherwise.

In any case, I hope there's still enough interest in the genre to keep things rolling for at least a few more years. I know that all good things must come to an end, but I'm hardly ready to give up on things yet. It's crazy to think I've been listening to this music for about half a decade, and I'm sure the same is true for the few others who are still poking around here.

Artist Spotlight #11: lando!

Wow, it's been a while. This was one of my favorite subreddits a few years ago, and I'm sad to see it as desolate as it is. In any case, the show must go on. For this artist spotlight, I thought I would go a bit off-course and highlight someone that might not be an obvious choice. I still think they're relevant enough to include, even if they're not "kawaii" per se.

It's lando!, and they have some excellent music that hugs the line between jazz and electronic. They recently released an album that contains some of their best tracks to date. If you're looking for something a bit different, lando! keeps things fresh while staying familiar to people who like electronic.

Artist Spotlight #10: Mysteka

As my last spotlight post is almost three weeks in the rearview, I decided to find someone else to feature for the next few weeks. After going through some of my old playlists, I remembered how much I liked Mysteka's sound. They still post semi-regularly, and their tracks have a certain level of polish that never ceases to amaze you. They also have a few sample packs for you to play with if that's your thing. All in all, they are a small producer with a surprisingly large sound.

Artist Spotlight #9: NY~ON

I'm bringing back one of the subreddit's earliest traditions by showcasing an exciting artist every so often. The last showcase was, shockingly, six years ago. For this showcase, I wanted to point everyone to an artist perhaps overlooked in the greater context of the community. NYON, a music producer based out of Sydney, is one of the few kawaii bass artists with a consistently unique sound and quality production. While other producers often go off in random directions with each new release, NYON's body of work is dependable and easy to pick up when you're craving something different. If a recent tweet is to be believed, a new track may drop soon. Even with their infrequent uploads, their great sound and production quality make it worth the wait.

A track I've made.

Hello everyone,

I've been working on music production on and off for about a year and a half now. In that time, I've tried to hit on every problematic area of my production. I realize I still have a long way to go, but I thought I'd share a track I recently created with you. I called it Night-blooming Jasmine, and I would appreciate any constructive criticism you can offer. I realize there are many ways I can improve upon what you see here, so any suggestions are welcome.

Sincerely,

u/EuphoricPenguin22

A Few Changes

Hello r/JapaneseFutureBass!

I wanted to let you know of a few key changes taking place in the subreddit. I love kawaii bass, and I sincerely hope we can continue building a friendly and welcoming community. Since the original moderators have been inactive for some time, I placed a moderation request with the intent to steer this subreddit in a new direction. As your new moderator, I've implemented revised rules, flairs, and branding to foster a welcoming community. What does this mean?

Rules are the basic foundation of any community online, and they help ensure good content makes it to the surface (while lousy content doesn't). I'm not too fond of the complex and bulky rules many subreddits use, so I've tried to make these new ones as concise as possible. You shouldn't even notice I'm here as long as you use common sense.

As we move forward, post flairs will still be required. You can label something as a track, a discussion, a video, or a question. I have also added a custom user flair, which you can use to show off whatever you like.

Branding isn't the most crucial part of the subreddit, but it does showcase our unique personality. I've revamped everything using some A.I.-generated imagery as the base, and I hope the choices I've made with everything reflect your own feelings about the community.

If you have any constructive criticism of these changes, do not hesitate to leave a comment below.

All the best,

u/EuphoricPenguin22
