A party in Chattanooga tonight.
Context: We have a one year old. But we both work from home (luckily!) and are with our baby all day. We didn’t do any shows until our baby was 6 months old.
I’ve always been a big concert goer. Live music is maybe my biggest hobby. Before I met my wife, I would routinely go to see 3-4 shows a week.
My wife used to love concerts and I’d say we’d go to 2-3 a month. She doesn’t like to leave the baby these days so she no longer wants to go.
No biggie, right? I went to concerts alone before her and I’ll just go alone now, right?
But she gives me a hard time every time I say I’d like to go to a show, initially saying yes and then as the show approaches saying things like “it hasn’t clicked in your head that we have a kid.” Then she’ll be weird to me the next day, as well. Just real passive aggressive stuff. To the point where it kind of just takes the wind out of my sails about going to see live music.
I’ll mention it’s gone from 2-3 shows a month to 1 show every 3 months.
I’ll also mention that I’m completely sober, so it’s not like I’m using a show as an excuse to go out and get hammered. I just really like live music.
I also am fine with her doing things alone/away from the baby. I watch the baby at night a lot when she goes out.
Did anybody else deal with this? Any tips on how to navigate it? Should I just stop going?
Do people usually hangout in the lot before the show? Trying to figure out what time to aim to be there.
Liking the mix of house music!!
I was going to miss this because I was going to my wife's friends fancy birthday party. I teased her about it but had every intention of going with her and missing my new favorite band that's playing at my favorite local brewery. Anyway, she just read something on Facebook about it and said I could go if I wanted.
I was at the Philly show and learned that these guys are fucking sick.
Emotional performance here from one of the best jam bands of all time! Lotus has always been one of my favorites, smoothest and cleanest band out there.
Love this song and energy she is bringing to it.
Guitar Hero theme
This should negate their contract for next season, fucking lame. They need to hire producer Jake.
Hey everyone! Just want to give some love to the IG account Jamband_Undergrounf for being dope and supporting lots of bands in the scene. Check out their playlist and give them a follow, always nice to see the scene getting more and more love
The sheer number of concerts on YouTube is astounding. Most are not available on any other platform. I have to admit that a favorite routine when I have guests is to put on a hidden nugget of a show and showcase my home stereo unit; having a collection to work from always helps!
I'm gonna put a few of my favorites here; many are classic jam bands, others are jam adjacent, others are just great classic rock shows. FYI, All the videos I've listed are are actual full concert footage, not just the music or single songs. Thanks in advance for helping to add to my YouTube "watch later" collection!

Was listening to nugs.net on Tune In just now and a guitar jam broke out into Hatikvah - I know it's a long shot, but any leads would be appreciated. Thanks!
