Happy owner of one on the left…
Hey all, just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience:
I've started to notice an audible "clunk" coming from the middle of my rear axle when I let off the power. I've just started experiencing it, and it's happening at low speeds, but it seems fairly consistent. I can physically feel it as well.
It seems to be more prominent with colder morning temperatures, and it may go away as the car warms up, but I need to do more testing before I can confirm this. I should note, this car has gone through two differentials, most recently in 2023.
The car is a daily driver, but I by no means drive it hard.
Any similar experiences? Concerning or not?
Thanks
My two beauties parked badly But it's okay, I have Jaaags

Hey Guys,
I'm looking to buy a luxury sports car and came across a 2014 XF 3.0 V6 supercharged Jaguar. It has a clean body, 100k miles on it, and is priced at $6.3k USD. I've never owned a Jaguar before. During a test drive, I noticed that the car was generally smooth, but the steering was oscillating at speeds between 60-100 mph. Additionally, there was a bubble on the front right tire.
I'm seeking advice on whether I should go ahead with the purchase. If so, I'd also like to know the potential repair and maintenance costs.
Found this wonderful image of the E-Type production line. Wasn’t able to find a date associated with it
Last year, my aunt‘s husband passed away of old age, he left a plethora of cars behind. One of the cars is the Jaguar which he used as a somewhat daily driver. He was well off and has a perfect service/maintenance record on the car which he always took to the dealership.
Car has 145,000 miles and I’m considering buying for between $7000 to $8000 from my aunt.
From what I can tell, these are fairly reliable. Any tips or heads up that I should be aware of when it comes to owning this car?
Thanks all!
Edit: I should preface: I am not a “car guy”. I don’t change my own oil and have never paid for premium gas. So there are a lot of things I might not have a lot of preferences on, at least for now, I thought this would be an opportunity to dip my toes into a more enthusiast level vehicle.
I work a decent job and from what I understand should be able to comfortably own an enthusiast car.
Is there a terminal in the front engine bay that can be used for convenience? With previous car I'd inflate my kayake from the battery but it was under the bonnet . I've always got stuff in the boot so I'm hoping that terminal I can see under the bonnet can be used.
Can any current owners share their opinion on this vehicle? I'd really appreciate information on the following areas:
Reliability/Known problems (can you daily it? How many days of repairs per year?)
Insurance costs in the US
Ease to work on yourself (does Jaguar restrict things to dealerships?)
Good model years vs years to avoid.
Can it handle snow (with snow tires)?
Things to look for while test driving/before you buy.
I was going to get a Lexus but saw a listing for an F-Type and it seems to check all of my boxes. I have a strong suspicion going for the F-Type is a mistake but I find myself wanting it anyway.
Thank you!
Anyone know what these connections are for? Two located in front, LH and RH. Attached to the bumper under tray.
No foglights on this car. Might it be for foglights?
What would be an alternative for the Castrol EDGE Professional E 0W-20? This is out of stock in qatar stores.

There is a Jaguar XJS green convertible for sale at an auction that ends tomorrow. the current price is $2000. Thnking about bidding, but very confused about the prices on this. 96K miles so there's that, but they say it runs well. Not sure if this link will work, it is in Tiffin Ohio
I needed an engine for my F-Type R(engine popped 400 miles after I bought it from a shady dealer). I decided to buy a donor instead of a used engine from eBay. Hoping I can part it out and recoup about 50% of what I paid for the donor car.
I could probably break-even overall if I parted out the engine in my car as well but I’m hoping it’s just the timing chains and I can take my time rebuilding it.
I don’t usually rev it cold, but a friend wanted a video. Phone survived.
