This man is an amazing artist. He's back on tour shortly, for anyone that may be interested.
When I listen to him I'm always confused by the fact he isn't massive.

You Already Know - The Brine Salter
Just got started on my music career been studying music theory for several years been trying to find my voice as well as my audience. I am a musician from cork, and been in the music gig for many years, I am a solo artist, and have entered into many individual competitions such as the Cork Playlist, where my song You Already Know, currently as it stands Ranks 1st in the Rankings, the Cork Playlist is a facebook group dedicated to bringing up up and coming musicians from the city of Cork and am proud to represent them
Also in a local competition in the city of Cork, Ireland for December's Song of the Month if you do like the song please do consider voting on the poll
So with the recent passing of the much Beloved, Shane Macgowan. It got me thinking about Certain things.
Firstly, the sad reality of a death of an Era. My personal opinion is like an untreated tumour, modern music is slowly killing the memory of what used to be a mystical majestic thing. The poetry and the written beauty behind so many artists, that now, as we progress further into the tines of drill, auto tune and mumble rap. It is fading quicker and quicker into the abyss that is modern culture. Call this the ramblings of someone who cannot let go of what was, but in reality why would I? When we went from the beauty of the art to songs that instill gang mentality and pure arrogance to society.
As the title says, I'm looking to bring friends out in Dublin and want to catch a good gig All venues, genres are welcomed We're in our 20-30s so not too onto club scene haha. Thanks in advance!

Hi lads, Looking for a drummer in Limerick, we're a band that's been together for a few years (guitarist, bassist and singer/guitarist) but never had any luck finding a drummer. Influences include Radiohead, The Smiths, My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain, Have a Nice Life and many more. Preferably aged somewhere around 18-23. If you want to hear some samples or if you're interested, give me a shout!
There is always Irish music happening live, what gig have you been to lately? Or who are you going to see next?
Hey guys. After playing 10 odd gigs over the last few months my band is hoping to hit Dublin hard in the new year. If anyone could give me any info on some good new band nights or venues who promote new bands it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hey everybody, don't suppose anyone is looking to swap a standing ticket for a sitting ticket for foals in the 3arena on the 10th February?
Hi, I'm from Brazil and currently considering to travel and attend to an english course in Dublin to improve my fluency and try to get a certificate.
In order to raise cash to do so I may be obliged to sell some of my music gear here, so that I can afford the whole thing without any troubles, but since I really don't want to just get rid of all of my most prized possessions, I would appreciate if someone could point me out a website of a local store, or something like that, so I can see what I could afford to buy back there. I'm currently considering to sell my bass amplifier and maybe buy a new one over there, or acquire an used bass guitar just so I can keep playing. Currently, I have a 4-strings Fender Precision 60th anniversary edition made in Mexico and a behringer bxl1800a Amp. Checked ebay already. :)
Sorry if I'm on the wrong sub.
