This is my second box I think it’s okay for the price of the box, just not as great as the first time💀

Been thinking about an old Ipsy bag that had a strengthening/repair nail polish that was pearl/chrome/iridescent. The Ipsy bag had to be from the 2010s. Maybe 2010-2015? The ones I’m searching regularly aren’t strengthening and are mostly thick/opaque or nail toppers. Looking for the more clear-ish one. Or recommendations lol!!! Thanks

I was pretty bummed about my December Boxy, so I skipped January. I was a little hesitant to come back for February and I'm really glad I did!

The Il Makiage mascara and First Aid Beauty Repair Cream were the Ipsy picks, so not gonna lie, I started off with some apprehension and disappointment. I have mascara marked as "rarely" because I felt like I was constantly getting it. I've also tried the Il Makiage before and like...it's fine. I'm just not passionate about mascara. I don't have a "holy grail" mascara despite trying pretty much all the "holy grail" mascaras that show up on the usual "holy grail" lists.

First Aid Beauty is another "it's fine" brand. I really like their Arnica Rescue Relief Mask and I used it religiously for a few years to calm my rosacea down when it flared up. Then I tried the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair line and replaced it with that. Everything else I've tried from FAB has been...fine.

But then it was time for my own picks and BYROE! My love! I haven't tried the kale gel before, but everything else-- everything else-- I've tried from Byroe has been phenomenal. I'll give anything from them a whirl.

5 Sens Life of the Party perfume-- I've tried Burn For You and I really liked the scent. I was disappointed with the staying power, but I liked the fragrance so much, and I liked the description of this fragrance so much, that I figured I'd give the brand another shot and see if the lack of staying power is a brand thing or just something specific to Burn for You.

Drybar Final Call Frizz and Control Spray-- I have to go to Florida next month for a work thing and my hair does not love Florida one bit. This will be making the trip. I've tried the Triple Sec finishing spray from Drybar before and liked it and their signature "blanc" scent is delicious.

Add-ons:

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm-- Balms have been hit or miss with me in the past and typically run the risk of leaving me greasy, which is always weird because my skin tends to skew dry and I haven't had to actually deal with a greasy face since I was a teenager several millennia ago. This winter in particular has left me feeling itchy, patchy, and irritated. I tried a sample of this as an add-on before and actually really liked it though. It's so soothing. And it doesn't leave me greasy! I was excited to see a full-size in the shop.

Commodity Milk + Bold-- I love love love the Juice + Expressive fragrance and this one actually sounds more in my wheelhouse than Juice did. I'm looking forward to trying it.

Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Color Corrector-- My nitpicky face loves the Cicapair line. I haven't seen any of it in the shop lately though, so this was a pleasant surprise.

And I just got my third Dew Wet Balm in add-ons, too 🫢😩😗🤸🏽‍♀️

Been FIENDING for a full bottle ever since the add-on and she has hit the shop!!

i’d rather take $72 to ulta and just go on a trip, or even spend $72 at the ipsy shop… but none of this is really exciting. hoping trying the items will change my mind.

I thought this would be a fun way to treat myself every month, and have found myself so disappointed by the products. A beauty sponge? Really? Even the things I got to pick don’t particularly excite me. Is it always so underwhelming?

I’ve been thinking about trying it out but I see so many customer reviews here that have me on the fence.

Prices are high but that’s a known known going in. Would you recommend it? Why or why not?

If not, why? Did you cancel?

Welp, it's official, starting feb 4th Canada is retaliating on the imposed tariffs from Trump and all of beauty products and skincare is encompassed in what we'll apply tarrifs to.

There's no way I can budget both the recent price increase and the 25% tarrifs that will apply on my boxycharm subscription.

At least my last box this February will be a good box and I placed a shop order a week ago 🥲

Happy with the other items but pretty ticked off that they gave me one singular beauty blender as one of the power picks…

This is my first box to get to pick items. I started in January. I was pretty disappointed in the items I was allowed to choose from. I was hoping for the rare beauty under eye brightener, but didn’t even see it in the add ons. Do you get better selections if you look earlier or are they set?

I’m relatively new to picking and choosing items and wondered if anyone had any experience with these items or any suggestions for brands to look out for/choose in the future. Thanks in advance!

I resigned up to try to cure some seasonal depression that had added on to my regular depression and grief depression and these boxes have been SO GOOD. The last 3-4 months bring me so much joy haha there are so many good choices compared to when I have previously subscribed. Brands I want to try, brands I haven’t heard of. So much cheaper than meds and therapyyyy 🫠

I picked my 3 products as usual yesterday. Started looking through addons and as I was picking addons, I received the order confirmation email but no addons showed as I was still picking them. I picked 3 addons, I was charged for them, box was completed but now this is what I see when I go to the Icon box page. Normally I should be seeing my products and addons. This is normal or there is a glitch with my account?
