If you guys are planting vegetable gardens this year, it might be time to start seeds. 

If not at least start grabbing seeds for sowing before they are picked through. 

Feel free to share what you all are planting this year, maybe there is something that someone else forgot.

I added a magnifying glass to my fire prep for the sunny days fire starting. Anyone thought of this? As a kid I always loved burning leaves and things. I try to think of as many ways to save and not rely on things that will die or go away.

Buddy of mine and myself are going to do a fall test run without much for gear. Probably do 3 days and two nights to start. Pretty much what we could carry on foot if to bug out. I grew up in Arizona and camp with the coyotes, scorpions and snakes with and without a tent. so it’s not to foreign to me. As I’ve gotten older though it’s been camper life and now being 47 it’s a lot different then teens and 20’s. We are bringing some Mountain House dry bags,  rice beans and some other freeze dry. Maybe a few cans of food and some battles of water. Just doing a tarp over my hammock for shelter. Going to do a December camping, spring and summer also do some more in between. Being in Iowa now for all these years and without a camper will definitely be new to me. Each time we go we will take less gear each time.

This app is great. Just started using it and still being in the beginning of prepping it didn’t take me to long to get 90% of my food and gear added. There is a free version and a 1.99 pay version. I paid the 1.99 but you can add exp date on food and any gear. Goes go out 2 months and asks a number of questions. How many people and what your prepping for. Definitly helps with the early prepper.

I bought a sawyer mini off Amazon and it came in a cardboard box. Anyone know why it’s not in the plastic package like at the stores? Don’t want my kids using something that’s a counterfeit or junk in case of emergency.
