Was getting in the 200s for the waves for Angstrom's Lab (~400-500 red chips per run) and now that has been cut in half. Was there an update/nerf?

We should be allowed to use Epic or higher in place of Exceptional+ in upgrades
So I accidentally upgraded an Exceptional+ unit to Epic, by misclicking the “Auto-upgrade” button. So obviously, I’m very bitter about wasting all these materials for nothing.
Don’t you guys agree that the game should allow us to use Epic or higher tiers in place of Exceptional+, when ranking up?

Event shop hero theme
Can anyone explain to me the connection of the current event heroes and Halloween? I mean if you were to ask me to put together a list of heroes for a Halloween themed shop id go with heroes that are linked to popular costumes so: Monsters->Monster Girl Ghosts-> Green Ghost Astronauts-> Rus livingstone Aliens-> Alan the Alies(Obviously but also any other alien) Robots->Robot And some kids dress up as the president so maybe immortal because he was Abraham Lincoln. Thought?
