Integral FAQ

Living an Integral Life means developing inner awareness, social awareness, physical awareness, and cultural awareness. To do this we give attention to contemplative practices, communication skills, physical health, and our relationship in the world.

"This concept of an Integral, time-free consciousness is neither Utopian nor illusory; neither is it a form of wishful thinking. On the contrary, it represents and shapes a richer reality."

--Jean Gebser

"By your stumbling, the world is perfected."

--Sri Aurobindo

"Human beings have a variety of intelligences, such as cognitive intelligence, emotional intelligence, musical intelligence, kinesthetic intelligence, and so on. Most people excel in one or two of those, but do poorly in the others. This is not necessarily or even usually a bad thing; part of Integral wisdom is finding where one excels and thus where one can best offer the world one’s deepest gifts."

--Ken Wilber

“Everything is the Light” is the title of a ‘lost’ interview Nikola Tesla allegedly gave in the 1900’s, full of mysticism, scientific knowledge, and notions beyond its time the content stands on its own. In this first part, ‘Tesla’ goes into the topic ‘Ascension’ through his idea of ‘cosmic energy’

Bioluminescence while recurring in nature, only recently has been confirmed in humans, and more than an interesting fact, when we look at the predominant theme of LIGHT in Altered States of Consciousness and some scientific theories, we’ve got to look at the correlation and the possible implications

Has Anyone Here Attended CIIS in San Francisco?

If so, did you find it adequately "integral", in a Wilberian kind of way? Or will I end up perpetually frustrated as I think "wow, the questions we are hung up on in this class would be rendered irrelivant if we just slipped in some good 'ole integral metatheory!"

I am looking to pursue the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness M.S., or East-West Psychology. Is this too niche a question for such a small community? Maybe. Let me know your thoughts or concerns. Thanks!

Sheldrake’s Morphic Resonance Theory is but one way to start understanding different ‘Field Theories’ which are becoming themes in research ranging from Quantum Physics to ‘Altered States of Consciousness’ (ASC), this advent could help us develop a scientific framework for the concept of a ‘soul’.

Saying the Universe is not ‘locally’ real the same as saying the Universe is fully connected? Science suggests time and space are an illusion, Entanglement confirms this. ‘Oneness’ is a theme that keeps repeating in the research of ‘Altered States’ (ASC), is science providing a framework for this?

With 20th century technology, scientists were able to conduct ‘Wigner’s Friend’ thought experiment, an argument in Quantum theory which ‘absurdly’ emphasized the influence of Consciousness in our reality, the results however confirmed such ‘absurdity’ and scientists think it could re-define science.

Integral behavior discouraged in the workplace.

I recently connected the dots on my experience in my workplace. I’m a marketing manager with a well known brand and I have been communicating with different departments, primarily our VP of Sales and our General Manager with new information and potential opportunities. I do so because I believe we’re all one unit, one organism, etc. However, the leaders of our marketing department are reprimanding me (not officially or formally, but personally) for not keeping information in our department and only sharing information and opportunities with them first and foremost, so they can be the ones to report to the president.

I finally connected the dots that it’s all about competition and appearances, but I guess I’ve moved passed that.

Not totally, I still appreciate a “good job” pat on the back once in a while, but I have no care for the hierarchy/politics that seem to be causing the rebukes I’m receiving.

Am I off on this? Anyone else deal with the same or similar situations?

Current state of US Politics: Choose between Orange, Red, or Orange?

Just looking at the political landscape, it seems like the parties have shifted around such that you have the Center-Right Business Orange Managerial Corporate types (Clinton, Biden, Bush jr. types) as the only functioning political faction still standing in the USA.

Outside of this, you have:

  1. Broadly unfunctional Green (https://theintercept.com/2022/06/13/progressive-organizing-infighting-callout-culture/)

  2. Broadly unfunctional Blue trying to strike deals with the devil with bizarre leaders I would think they should hate (I.e. Trump and his ilk, who seem to have mostly red underpinnings). I feel the most sorry for this group, as they really need some quality leadership.

So what are the choices? Crazy populist God-emperors; Orange with a few concessions to social programs (so long as you can stomach corporatocracy, war-mongering, and elitist paternalism); or failing Green meme?

I guess if/when Orange centrists implode further, there will be no functioning choices remaining and we would enter a dark age and perhaps all die in nuclear winter.

A good question: Where are the Yellow Meme big names? I mean, I look around and the candidates are probably Andrew Yang or Tulsi Gabbard, but these aren't exactly home-runs, either.

Anyone here read "Robes"?

Just wondering if it has made inroads into integral groups. It was written in 1981, published in 1993, and contains exceedingly accurate predictions. I have read much channeled materials (including Starseed, DNA in the Sands of Time, Neil Donald Walsh, and many others), and Robes is the only one I have come across that has been so uncanny accurate in its predictions over the past 30-40 years and even in the past 2-5 years.

Curious what other people's takes/experiences are with it.

When posting a video, could posters or even watchers give a summary or TL;DW?

The majority of this forum is now uncommented or barely-commented videos. I notice that discussion posts are up-voted more, commented more, etc. So, generally the text posts here get the most traction. One can read written text at one's own pace and consume mountains of it, but videos are fixed pace, and evidently fewer people are watching and engaging those than the text posts here.

Unfortunately videos tend to be one of two things: Short "Bite-Sized" videos that present "basics" that most people here probably aren't interested in a rehash of (or if we do need a rehash of something very specific, it is roulette if that is your video or not). I'm an instructional designer, and "Bite-Sized" information tends to work well for neophytes in either a just-in-time setting or in context of a larger course. Neither of which we have here.

Which leads to the second type of video, long-form. This is generally better, but it is time-consuming and I would need to be extremely interested in your topic and have a good sense that you are going to deliver excellent content (which is hard to establish). The exception would be listening while on a walk or long ride.

Post a summary or basic TL;DW: At least people can discuss the topic or consider if they want to watch the video or not. (Of course, posters may dislike people discussing the topic without having seen their precise argument, but that's up to the poster to outline clearly).

Ask yourself this, after reading the first part of The Mars 360 Religious and Social System, is it logical to disbelieve in the influence of Mars. Just read the preview on Amazon. Don't worry, its totally free.

Ask yourself this, after reading the first part of The Mars 360 Religious and Social System, is it logical to disbelieve in the influence of Mars. Just read the preview on Amazon. Don't worry, its totally free.

The Mars Effect presented by Michel Gauquelin back in 1955 made the first scientific case for astrology by demonstrating that there was a statistical signifiance of Mars showing up in key sectors in the charts of eminent sports champions. He divided the chart into 12 sectors and found that in eminent sports champions, Mars was showing up in what he called the rising sector and the culminating sector. The base rate for a planet showing up in 2 sectors of possible 12 sectors based on chance was 17%. In Gauquelin's sample, Mars was showing up in the 2 key sectors at a rate of 22%. More than chance, which aside from all other potential meanings, meant that Mars must have some sort of effect. This was enough to be a faith inducer. Now watch as I take that notion further.

So after he tied Mars influence to a scientific potential, I took Mars and tied it to a religious signifiance. Using the English Sumerian Gematria, where the letters of the alphabet are numbered in multiples of 6....A=6, B=12, c=18, so on and so forth, I added up the letters of Mars and got 306. After simplying adding 360 to 306, I got 666. Essentially Mars 360 is the revolution of Mars around the Sun and its influence humanity.

Then, I discovered that the position of Mars within 30 degrees of the lunar node was coinciding with the escalation of rocket fire from Gaza into Israel since 2007(actually 2006). I discovered this in 2019. Then after discovering that, I demonstrated IN REAL TIME, that this was the case. I went on youtube and predicted in advance in 2019, 2020, and 2022, the rocket fire escalation time frames for all three years(2020, 2021 and 2022) consecutively by observing when Mars would be within 30 degrees of the lunar node. The 3rd year was a charm because before when this was unanimously considered a joke, now perhaps a handful of people are listening to this. Not alot but a long way from how this data was perceived in 2019. The fact that I demonstrated in real time had an effect. All of this documented in Volume I of this book.

The second volume explains the Mars 360 system, which is a formulated and hypothesized global social accord ideally operable under the same principle as the Paris Climate Accord, that attempts to integrate all nations into a common cause without undermining national sovereignty. The Mars effect on human behavior inclines each individual toward certain predispositions that lend itself to fundamental outlooks which carries with it... a high degree of inflexibility. This inflexibility plays itself out in various political and social stances like socialism, pacifism, capitalism, liberalism, conservatism, libertarianism, etc, but is actually the result of Mars's permanent influence on the human brain. This gives rise to the idea that while certain stances are different in external display, they are at the same time fundamentally backed by the same source(to varying degrees of course)....which is Mars.

This influence manifests differently amongst the human population. Mars influences some to be antagonistic to different groups, others to be antagonistic to different individuals. It influences some to be antagonistic to change and others to stagnancy. It's all laid out in 6 different categories and allows for a wider perspective of the human condition, thus opening the door to understanding and improvisation. This construct allows the individual to navigate through life accordingly, adjusting his own behavior to the situation he faces.... catering to the human archetypes in his space according to the Mars number they wear.

Historically humanity has fostered a race-driven ethnocentric perspective. Mars 360, however, introduces the idea of the cosmic-driven perspective. Unlike qualities of ethnicity or nationality which bind peoples and groups together, Mars 360 introduces a way for humans to become cosmically driven, dividing themselves based on natal astrological factors such as where Mars was situated at the time they were born. This outlook fragments the entire human population into 6 cosmic races that are all defined by their natal astrological Mars position, putting humans into a segment in which everyone within that segment would share a similar personality trait and outlook. This ideally would override the ethnicity and nationality factors and bring the world under one construct, without dissolving the boundaries of contemporary society.

The third volume explains a hypothesis that the Federal Reserve can set interest rates based on the movements of the planet Mars. In this volume, data going back to 1896 shows that as of April 2020, percentage-wise, the Dow Jones rose 857%. When Mars was within 30 degrees of the lunar node since 1896, the Dow rose 136%. When Mars was not within 30 degrees of the lunar node, the Dow rose 721%. Mars retrograde phases during the time Mars was within 30 degrees of the lunar node was not counted in that data as Mars being within 30 degrees of the lunar node. The purpose of the book is to not only hypothesize that the Federal Reserve can set interest rates based on the movements of the planet Mars, but to also demonstrate exactly how and at the same time, formulate a system that would enable the Federal Reserve to carry out its application in real time.

This book can be found on Amazon and is called The Mars 360 Religious and Social System by Anthony of Boston. Its 394 pages and should be read and further investigated and if possible applied to standard curriculum in colleges across the country.

After 100 years of relative ‘silence and calculations’ Science is suggesting that Quantum Mechanics (QM) apply at all scales all the time, then why “does the world look so normal when (QM) is so weird?” If Consciousness, turns out to be the missing link, our current paradigm would change.

Intro to AQAL Video – Feedback Desired!

Hi fellow integralists,

Not so long ago, I published a video on YT introducing the AQAL model. I think this is a solid introduction for those approaching Ken Wilber's work for the first time and can remind more experienced Wilberians of the fundamentals!

Enjoy, and do let me know what you think in the comments. Are there any key insights i miss?

Scientists acknowledged that Consciousness is nowhere to be found in the brain, it cannot arise from it, nor can it be reduced to the neural activity, or a mere physical process given the phenomenon of qualia. If not in the brain, then where is it? Is science opening the door to metaphysics?

“The joyous thing about this research is to see that the relationship between the spins of two individual electrons can have a major effect on biology.” If Consciousness is behind the Quantum Phenomenon, this research (and field of study) could be a precedent to the concept of ‘Quantum Immortality’.

Newer research is finding that memory is encoded at a cellular, molecular, synaptic and circuit level, memory has even been found in creatures which do not possess a brain, contradicting most of what we knew about memory and thought process, giving way to theories from the realm of science fiction.

What we know of memory recollection ‘is often more in the realm of metaphor rather than mechanism’ some experts suggest as newer research has found that memory recollection occurs at a ‘molecular, cellular, synaptic and circuit level’. This is information at the Quantum level, this is who we ARE.
