I’ve googled imaged search this a few times & I can always find a few faces to see. However, I was wanting to get a look at every face on the borg warner trophy & I’m having trouble seeing if there’s an easier way of viewing this online. Does someone have a picture or a source I’ve maybe missed or haven’t seen yet? Thanks to anyone who can help.
So (yet again) I tried to buy tickets to Rev 2025. And once again, tickets are completely sold out within ten seconds of sales going live.
I’m starting to think all (but one or two) tickets are actually already sold to “special” people long before tickets go on sale; the online sales are merely window dressing with a couple of token tickets made available so the Rev party can get news coverage from the local news stations.
Has anyone ever successfully purchased Rev tickets from the online sales? Or is it all corporate and VIP attendance?
Here's your weekly opportunity to post questions for IndyCar journalist Marshall Pruett to either ask his guest, or answer himself, on his podcast over the coming week.
Spent the week in Mexico City and couldn’t hardly go anywhere without seeing this digital billboard pop up. Huge press for a guy getting a full time ride in Indy Next a month ago. Any idea why/what’s going on? I know he’s from Mexico but I would expect this more if he like won the Indy 500…
Nevertheless, pretty cool to see someone giving Indy this level of advertising attention.
This took me about 5 hours. More to come from the new pc.
I want to know how Stewards are in IndyCar because in F1 they are becoming ****** unbearable.
They ruin every Race, how is the Situation in IndyCar and can Andretti bring in some American Steward.
With Felix being a missile in quali do you think he has the pace to win with Meyer shank?
I got into Indycar earlier this year and I want to attend a race in person.
The closest race to me is the Long Beach GP and due to life plans it’s probably the only race I can realistically get to in the next few years.
I want to make the most of my weekend, so I was considering buying individual reserved seat tickets for Saturday and Sunday so I can experience different areas of the track. For Saturday I’m looking at section 36 and for Sunday section 24.
Is that totally stupid? Should I stick to one section the whole time? Separate tickets comes out slightly more expensive than buying a 3-day reserved seat ticket but those sections are not available under the 3 day, I can only choose 40 or 25 (and it doesn’t seem like 25 has a good view of the hairpin anyway).
Tickets will be my main expense, as I’ll be driving from Las Vegas and staying with a friend in Long Beach. I just want to make sure the money is well spent. I appreciate any feedback/advice.
Idea shamelessly stolen from nascar subreddit.
Hi everyone!
After an amazing time at the Bommarito 500 this year I’ve decided to check out the Long Beach gp next year!
I just had a couple of questions for those that have attended in the past. I was looking at the club c300 add on since I was already set on buying a paddock pass. Is it worth the extra 145? The paddock at the bommarito had shaded seating and tvs and I was wondering if the lbgp had something similar or is the c300 my best bet?
Also what’s the weather typically like? I was not prepared for the St.Louis heat and ended up buying a cooling towel during the race 🤣
I’ve been looking for a list for a bit and I’m really interested in finding out more about the pit crews and what they do.
I like listening to indycar radio most nights when I'm going to sleep and curious if anyone has any insight as to how ICR chooses which old 500s they play.
Because I've heard the 1991 500 about 43 times the past two weeks and over the past few years I've probably heard it no joke 100 times.
It's pretty wild when I can turn ICR on and be pretty sure I'm going to hear Bob Jenkins taking about the 75th running "diamond anniversary edition of this great speed classic"
Hi all!
I was a little kid during the years in question, but still an extremely keen and knowledgeable Indycar fan, so I really don't think I've manufactured this memory. Maybe someone else remembers this and can corroborate.
This was television pilot - I think 1 hour-long + airing on one of the major broadcast networks (ABC?) that centered around "Indycar" (or some generic version of American Open-wheel racing) and the various melodramas of the drivers and race team personnel. As a consumer of all things racing, I remember being fairly psyched-up to watch it. I think the series, or at some race teams were at least peripherally involved in the production and the show may have been promoted during Indycar broadcasts.
When it aired I remember being completely disappointed and we didn't even finish the entire episode - I watched it with my dad, who was always pretty pedantic when it came to the accuracy of racing scenes presented in TV/Film!)
Basically I think racing scenes were poor (likely using junior formula cars as Indycars) and the drama fairly tortured (various jealousies and love triangles etc.) I think only 1 episode was aired.
I do have a couple very specific recollections:
- The opening sequence was filmed at a featureless desert road course (I think Firebird Raceway in AZ) It was a test session which ended in a fiery crash, setting in motion the events of plot. I think there was real Indycar used in this scene.
- One of protagonists was a women racer who lamented the fact that she was being passed over for a race seat and consigned to being a "backup" driver.
I've obviously tried googling this, but to no avail. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
Thanks for reading!
P.S. - I am 1000 percent not thinking of either Driven, Freejack or that episode of CSI:Miami :)
Dave Moody just said on SiriusXM that Penske announced Indycar will institute a playoff system. Did I miss something?
