GUIDELINES

  1. If you're posting a stabilization and it's not your original content, do your absolute best to give credit where credit is due. If you don't know whose OC it is, say so in the comments. It's the decent, human thing to do, folks.
  2. Try not to repost, please. If somebody else has already posted a stabilization, you may post a different stabilization, especially if it is significantly different. This album (from this post) is an example of three significantly different stabilizations.
  3. If you fulfill a request, you are encouraged to submit your stabilization as a new post, linking your post and the original request post to each other in the comments sections. If you do not wish to make a new post, you can comment on the request post with a direct link to your stabilization.
  4. Make use of the link flair. If you've made a request, make sure to update the flair once your request has been fulfilled.
  5. This sub is a friendly place. Death, gore, and serious injury belong in /r/WTFStabilization; sex and gratuitous nudity belong in /r/motiontrackedboobs or /r/MotionTrackedPorn. If you're not sure whether your content falls in one of these categories, message the mods for approval before submitting.
  6. Preferred hosts: imgur, gfycat, and YouTube. Your post won't necessarily get removed if you host elsewhere, but please stick to those hosts whenever possible.

I have a bunch of footage (~1hr) that got corrupted in a strange manner. I feel like I could potentially fix it with some automated stabilization technique, but I'm not sure where to start. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Please help me make out this license plate (Hit and Run)

If someone can help me make out this license plate I would be extremely grateful. The hit and run takes place at a hospital of all places -- the lady that hit me gets out of her car (while holding her rosary) and assesses the damage before bailing (different video). People suck.

Motion Panoramas without Adobe and Kolor Products?

I’m new to the concept of motion panoramas and want to give them more of a go, but I’ve noticed one of the more popular methods seems to have become defunct with the shutdown of Kolor’s Autopano Giga a couple years back (that old tutorial here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PanoGifs/wiki/panogifapgps?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf). Coupled with my lack of access to Adobe products and I’m kinda out of luck on that front. I’ve used the VirtualDub and DeShaker method and while it does work reasonably well, I was wondering if there’s any alternative methods I could try out.
