Do you have someone in your family who loves gardening? Here's a cool gift idea I came across. Bonus points if they watch the TV show Alone because it was created by Nicole who's been on the show twice (if you haven't seen the show you should give it a try, it's an interesting concept).
It's a gardening kit with seeds for 10 different plants that can be used to make various herbal remedies. It also comes with a book written by Nicole where she goes over everything you can make with the plants from ointments and teas all the way to essential oils and infusions. It's not something you'd find in a normal store so it makes for a unique gift especially if the person you're buying it for is a fan of natural remedies.
I ordered a kit for my Mom's birthday earlier in the year and she was a massive fan of it. She now makes her grandkids sleepy tea before bed whenever they sleep over and always offers us some substance she makes from the feverfew if we complain about a headache. I think she's probably made every recipe in the book and it's only been 9 months.

(26M) Recently moved to the area and looking for an ice climbing partner. Dm me if interested.
Does anyone here work in INL? I’ve applied so many times. I can’t seem to get an interview. Is having connections the only way to get in? I have a degree, but I also applied on job postings that only require a high school diploma. What am I doing wrong?
Anyone here heading to Samoas Club for some Karaoke tonight? 👀
Message me. I'm a guy stuck in IF need a ride asap. Just me and my bags. Safety references available upon request. Paying cash.
A few years ago when we first visited, there were so many ponds and wildlife. We visited almost every year since then, the ponds are drier and now they are mostly dry up. The wildlife are almost disappearing especially the white tails and birds. There are apparently some projects going on this year as we saw in the most recent visit. I am not sure whether it will recover the ecosystem or not.
This dirtbag clearly doesn't understand civil rights.
Not saying that anyone is blameless, but we have rights and rules for a reason. Idaho is in the new a few times every year for dirtbag cops. Time to put a stop to this.
All my friends are Mormon, but I recently left the Mormon church. I’ve been becoming acquainted with drinking and would love to drink and party with some folks around my age. DMs are open.
Does anyone know why the Target Starbucks is closed?
I’d be down to make some new friends today and hit up a bar or something
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good massage therapist around town?
Overall, it seems like Black Friday over the years has gotten worse and worse with places like Amazon bumping up prices to lower it to the normal price during Black Friday, and in-person stores like Best Buy and Walmart doing the same.
Is it worth going out and about in Idaho Falls for Black Friday?
Are there any stores left that actually have good deals around this time?
If you want to make your next camping trip a more authentic experience you should try this out. My cousin makes these pocket sized durable foraging guides, small enough to slip in your wallet. It has 55 of the most commonly found edible plants, trees, nuts and fruits in North America. It goes over what parts of the plant are edible, how to prepare them and any medicinal benefits they have. So you can give foraging a try on your next camping trip and spice up your meals whilst developing a useful skill. They're super cheap too, you can get 4 of them for just $39.95 so you can equip the whole family and make an activity out of it. Plus it's just handy to have if you frequently go camping or hiking, you never know when you might find yourself in a dire situation with no reception. It provides some peace of mind knowing you and your family can find food anywhere.

So I like Shaka's for coconut and vanilla soda flavorings but I was wondering if there are any other gas station convenience stores or similar places that offer that kind of thing?
Feel free to remove this if it’s not allowed, I’m just looking to put down roots in Idaho Falls and exploring work options, I grew up here and have family close. I have a Bachelors degree in communications and a RadCon Tech certification/about a years’ experience in nuclear but haven’t had much luck getting hired on at the labs, where I’ve wanted to work for a while, and wanted to see if there were any other opportunities around. I’m kind of up to work anywhere or do anything at this point if it pays the bills, so I appreciate any leads!
I'm very interested in getting some cross country lessons (both styles). Are there any places in town that offer that? Most of the places I check online are 30 minutes to an hour away.
Anyone know of good sledding spots around the IF area? I am aware of the pay to sled hill on Sunnyside so what else are good spots for free?
Anyone know what the foul smell is ? Pardon my ignorance, recently moved to Idaho Falls from Twin.
I’m coming from Texas and I pay about $500 a month in electric and water for a house that is approximately 2500 square feet. My house does not have gas
I’ll be downsizing my home and I’ve heard that Idaho overall is less for utilities, but I’d like some actual numbers per square footage
I'm planning to move to the area next year and noticed that many house listings don't have central A/C. For those who go without or rely on portable/window units, how do you find the summers? My wife and I don’t sleep great if it's too warm, but we live in the south right now and it’s hot 8 or 9 months out of the year so it’ll be a big difference I’m sure.
We're pretty particular about what we want in a house, so we’re figuring out what compromises might be reasonable. Any help would be appreciated!
Edit: thanks for the input everyone! Definitely looks like central air will be a priority for me when I’m looking for homes.
I’m mainly interested in being a body transport tech. Wood Funeral Home, Coltrin, Buck Murphy, and maybe Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby. This might not be a question for this sub. Apologies if not, but any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Any place here that sells it?
Any Pros and Cons to these places?
Which do you suggest going to?
I saw online that Gold's has a punching bag which is a plus as I like hitting the bag for cardio.
Just looking for an assessment on a very old still working (thankfully) furnace. Any honest recommendations in IF/Rigby area appreciated. Thank you!!
