Hello all, so I'll be going to my first rolex 24 and looking for tips. Hotel has been booked (still might change dates if i am able to attend all 4 days) and looking at tickets for the event. It looks like i'll be getting there friday. I noticed that there are just GA tickets, but i did see "Taste of the 24" for a bit more money. Was wondering if it was actually worth it or just a gimmick? Also what is the parking senario look like?
Side note: Pretty excited about it. This year would be my first "trifecta". Rolex24, Sebring and Miami GP.
How do you all normally store the signed driver card things you get from the autograph sessions?
I’m fairly new to IMSA so this probably isn’t a secret for you salty vets but… for those who are new like me or may not have Peacock… there’s a Black Friday sale right now… $20 for an annual membership and you can cancel anytime. Great deal for the upcoming 2025 season!
Ok, basically title. I get it, Daytona was much faster in 2024 but almost everywhere else except for Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca the quali times have been slower by quite a margin. Why?
I was making a pre-Thanksgiving run to Target and of course took a side trip thru the toy car aisle looking for a HW Rexy. No luck there, but I did find that the New Bright 1/8 scale Caddy GTP RC car is on sale for 29.99. I believe it will be that price thru Saturday.
I’m fairly new to IMSA and endurance racing (thank you iRacing!) and plan on attending my first in-person race next year. I was hoping it would be Sebring in March but I don’t think I can swing it. I know one’s a sprint and the other endurance but if you had to pick Long Beach or Road Atlanta for the Petit Le Mans, what would it be?
I'm fairly new to IMSA (I usually only watch WEC but I also watch Daytona & Sebring to kick off the endurance season). I watched the finale though at Road Atlanta & I used the live timing for the first time, but the abbreviations were alien to me.
Coming from the more basic WEC live timing I was so confused. What does TF(S), PC, LPL, LSP, BSP, TSLP, TRLP & BL mean?
Any help in what they mean would be highly appreciated.
This year is my second time going to the Rolex but it's my first time going to the roar. I know Thursday before the Rolex the grandstands are closed but I was wondering if they are closed for the roar as well
Hi all! Looking to find some information about the general location and size of the infield parking for the Rolex 24 at Daytona. I plan on getting a 4 day Pass with Garage Access and Infield Parking, so I wanted to know if anyone can share what the parking area is like. Is it on asphalt or a grass/dirt lot? How big is the parking spots? Where is it located by? Where are cool spots to watch from near the infield parking? Looking forward to attending it as it is my first time going to such a big motorsport event! Any information is super appreciated to try and maximize my experience for myself and friends I am bringing along!
I don't think offering tickets is allowed on this sub, which is fine, but I'd appreciate any guidance on where would be a good place to sell my BMW Champions Club package for 2025. Unfortunately, a health issue is going to keep me at home in January.
Thanks!
Google tells me this is a Chip Gannassi car? I didn't follow motorsports at the time so back then I wasn't sure what I was looking at.
Is it based on a lap time, or the slowest car? It seems like most of the LMDH cars could make more power.
Hi all,
I’m a new fan to the series and worked up the motivation to go to a full IMSA weekend hopefully in 2025. I’m eyeballing the Battle on the Bricks at IMS.
My first live exposure was the VP Racing Challenge (I call it diet IMSA) at St. Pete in 2024 and I’m dying to see the top categories in action.
My questions:
I’ve got mostly everything figured out logistically except for Hotel, and advice on where to book?
Does IMS get busy for this on a Sunday? Is it possible to park near the track?
How is general admission?
What other races would you highly recommend on the calendar other than this one?
Thanks in advance!
When is it going to be out? Haven’t seen anything yet.
I’m going to Daytona 24 for the first time with my dad (70) and son (8). What are the things I need to know about attending the race from lodging and food to the race itself? I’m very familiar with road America, COTA, and Portland international. Three different tracks! What’s to know about Daytona?
Any tips would be welcome!
