Inception racing will probably use a 296 for 2025

I just saw the new Amazing livery from Seanbull for the new Inception Ferrari that will compete in the 2 last rounds of imsa, that suggest they'll use a rari in 2025 ,do someome know why they changed car?

First trip to “battle on the bricks.”

How different an experience is it, say from Daytona, Sebring, or Watkins Glen? Where are the good places to watch from?

First time for Petit Le Mans!

Hey all, I just finalized booking my trip to get down to Petit Le Mans this year and really looking forward to it since it’s been on my bucket list for awhile. Just wanted to ask this sub for those who’ve been if they have any pro-tips on how to get the most out of the event. I’m a motorsport photography enthusiast planning on bringing some gear down with me to shoot some photos and u/jameypricephoto’s Paddock Focus episode for Petit Le Mans is on my watch list but just wanted to see what anyone else who’s been has to add about the event. Thanks!

Battle on the Bricks Parking Options

Hello,

I'm with a group that has an infield tent camping site reserved for the weekend and I am wondering if there is any availability of finding overnight parking outside of the track for the weekend so we have a car to go around in. Does anyone know if any of the lots will be open for overnight parking?

First Petit LeMans Race, help!

So I may have indirectly received the green light to drive down from Raleigh to the Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta from my wife :) This would be my first time there and longest race to date. What can I expect, best places to stay, eat, sit etc? Always have loved IMSA/GTWC racing and am thrilled! Was just as VIR a few weeks back and caught the bug hard.

Thank you in advance to anyone that responds!

Shoutout to Wright Motorsports

Don’t know if this is allowed considering it’s technically not imsa.

This weekend I went to barber for the GT World Challenge race and Wright had one of their 911 gt3s there. Knowing them from imsa, I went up to take a photo of the car just because it was cool, but one of the mechanics gestured for me to come over and he gave me a complete, up close tour of the car.

Really cool moment they didn’t have to do, and they definitely gained a fan.

Questions in regards to endurance racing

  1. When you attend the Rolex 24 or Sebring 12 (basically any endurance race that’s not one of those short ones up to 2 1/2 hours), what else goes on besides the racing? Do the tracks have other things going on like with normal racing? Six hours is even a long time to give your attention to one thing. I guess if you’re camping with friends and family it’s easier to take breaks than showing up solo and watching from the bleachers. If I was doing the latter I’d get pretty bored.

  2. So since the drivers have to compete in stints, does the pit crew and the rest of the team have to the same?

Classic GTO/GTU question

Hi guys, I'm watching some old GTO races on YT and I'd like to know. Which was the best season to watch in your opinion? Could be 89 or 90 seasons?

Best Education Path to Become a Mechanic for a Racing Team?

Hi everyone,

I'm a high school senior with a strong passion for motorsports. My dream is to work as a mechanic for a racing team, ideally in IMSA or WEC. I've been doing a lot of research on how to break into the industry, but I've noticed that many job listings require previous experience in motorsports, which can be tough to get without the right connections or education.

I'm currently looking into schools that could help me get started in this career path. IUPUI has caught my attention because it's not too far from home, and it seems like a solid choice for someone aiming to become a mechanic on a race team. However, I'm not entirely sure if it's the best option or if there are other programs I should consider.

I'd really appreciate any advice from those of you already in the industry or who have taken a similar path. Are there other schools or programs that I should be looking at? What steps did you take to get your foot in the door?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Earned another cover photo to add to my portfolio of covers.

This one is from Watkins Glen 6h of the SC63 (Andrea Caldarelli behind the wheel).
