This sweet girl has been hiding around our neighborhood for the past few weeks and finally gained the courage to approach me after being thrown/lured with treats.

We're currently fostering her while we attempt to find a home, and we're hoping to give a better idea of what breed she is. Our gut reaction is Pit/Pit mix, as it's a common breed in this area (Southern California desert) and has some similar features.

Most get her wrong. She’s the best girl ever. 2.5lbs to 22lbs. Got her at 9weeks and now shes about 5.5. Very into hunting. Acts mostly like a spaniel and cattle dog.

What kind of dog is she?! 6 months old adopted 

Buck is a great dog--he is a rescue dog that we stopped about a month ago. He weighs about 80 lbs and is 11 months old. We know he is probably part Mastiff of some kind, but we would love to know what he is missed with.

We were told beagle mix. I agree on the beagle but also see terrier and hound of some sort.

Our baby Winnie, adopted in March of this year. 

Got him as a rescue. Very loyal, playful and obedient. Follows you everywhere, but also stubborn in his own way. Will not do a trick such as shake unless a treat is involved and steal your socks off your feet for attention, but will always follow you and any proper instructions. Incredibly kind and patient with children. Such a good dog, what is he?!

What is he? 

Lady brought in a dog to work and told us this puppy’s mom was a family dog that got knocked up. the family let her loose because they didn’t want the puppies. The ladies friend found the puppies on the side of the road in Texas and are looking for a foster home for the dog. Me and my fiancé are considering but would like to ID the breed before we make any decisions as I am very careful with making sure the dog is a right fit. Any help appreciated thanks.

Shepherd-AmStaff Mix?

Going to adopt/rescue this livestock guardian dog from Mexico. Was told he’s a mixed breed of some sort, but the owners certain that genetically he’s mainly some sort of a Filipino, or Thai, dog breed. I believe he is part Pittbull, maybe about one quarter, and the rest is the Filipino or Thai breed, could be a ridgeback and/or some sort of herding dog. Those ears certainly are his distinguishing feature. 

I used image searching to narrow it down potentially here are a few of the breeds I think he could be: Filipino Forest Dog, Phu Quoc Ridgeback, Formosan Mountain Dog, Villano de Las Encartaciones, Dutch Shepard, and Belgian Malinois.

Banjo aka ham dog, rat dog, turbo pig.  “Pit mix” with webbed toes. What else is in there?

Malnourished when he showed up, knows basic commands:  sit, shake, etc..has not shown any aggression towards me or my other dogs even when they are towards him.  He appears to be a young dog... Have ordered an embark test for him, but curious what everyone thinks...

Showed up 2 weeks ago and is now a part of the pack. Very mild temperament. Has not shown any aggression. I am thinking great pyranees but I didn't think they had pointy ears like that. TIA

About to adopt puppy from shelter was told mom is a Dalmatian (photo attached) father unknown. Just curious because mom does not look like Dalmatian to me and baby’s seem pit/terrier but I’m just guessing. I have young grandkids and just want to make a safe and informed decision TIA

Update on Booster’s breeds

This poor puppy was dumped by her previous owners and sitting by a busy road crying when I first saw her. She ran away into a drainage ditch/pipe and was too scared to let anyone close. For a good week we and other neighbors left her food and water and eventually she trusted me enough to catch her. Just wondering what kind of mix she might be. Thank you!!
