Does Destiny Divergence no longer change the characters appearance?

Started playing this literally today, came here looking for guides in which characters to invest or tips, seems the game died in Japan and soon global will follow? Is there any news on the state of the game or the future? Is there time for a new guy to at least enjoy the content and play the story? Is the story even complete at all?

On the game itself, is it worth investing on the main character or not really? Is there any pity system in the gacha? I really wanna try grabbing Selvaria, worth rerolling for her? Or not worth the investment since the future looks grim?

I'd started idola around the time when the en version dropped after while I dropped it as other games came out. out of curiosity, I'm thinking about returning. what is the current state of the game?

Considering we haven't had any new characters in quite a while, and no sign of Stella (Chocolates of Hidden Desire) I'm going on the assumption that Boltrend is just quietly abandoning their support of JP content. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I feel like I really lost out by not putting more time in JP when I had the chance.

These are great and memorable characters and stories with even greater music. If they are gonna shut down the game then they better bring them all into NGS and make them the main characters there!

Just found out that the jp servers will be shutting down after four years of service... honestly it feels like the glb server just kinda started and to hear this really is sad for me.

I’ve played this game since day one of its glb release and tbh I’ve never played a phantasy star game before until IDOLA came out. I just miraculously saw it on the App Store on it’s day of release and decided to give it a try and I don’t regret that decision one but at all! I grew to love the game for it’s story, characters, world and music.

With the jp server shutting down it’s inevitable that the glb server will follow suite as well whether it’d be the same time as the jp server or if Boltrend decides to finish the rest of the content jp has. I only play 5 gacha games (FGO, Honkai I3, DB Legends, Genshin, and IDOLA included) and have seen other gacha games shut its services like Naruto Blazing, Magia Records, etc.... to know that IDOLA will soon be shutting down really hurts a bit as It’s one of the games I play.

The glb version truly probably could of been a huge hit but it really suffered in the promotional department. I’ve made a post to address this close to a year ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/IDOLAPhantasyStarS/comments/khxpvu/a_long_overdue_post_of_appreciation_for_this_game/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) and it also doesn’t help glb IDOLA released very close to Genshin as well. This game had it’s fair share of issues but regardless of all that I still to this day believe this game is a very good/fun game to play and worth the time to immerse yourself in it’s story! With that I think we should all just try to enjoy IDOLA while it’s still here and make the best of if!

Yet it is free and will leave us next year, so sad.
Can we get the sequel as a normal JRPG please?

Serious, how do you fix this? I have found ZERO help in this regard, and the set up I've been given is terrible! I've got under leveled characters and empty slots! What the heck determined this set up!?!?!?!?

Hey all, I'm new here, but I'm having some trouble.

I'm playing the Japanese version of the game, and I'm at the final boss fight (true form of Dark Falz Theater).

I think I may be having a glitch, and I'm curious as to whether or not anyone else has seen this result.

When Dark Falz Theater summons the phantom characters, he always summons a phantom Yuri, and then copies himself so that there are two Dark Falz Theaters (with 1,000,000 HP!) and a Yuri. I try to kill Yuri first to begin removing the shields from Dark Falz, but at around 10% HP or so, he can no longer be targeted. So, I'm unable to finish the fight due to this apparent glitch.

Anybody else ever experience anything like this?

Fate/Grand Order, an arguably worse game in terms of gacha and some other aspects, due to being a primitive game, has not only three ascensions (same as an unit evolution you'd see in any other game) where the characters get new outfits, details and/or designs (see Kama, Ibuki-Douji, Morgan le Fay or Demon Lord Nobunaga, for example) along with a cool ass illustration for their final stage, but their sprites also change. Oh, but it doesn't stop there. Instead of changing to 3D models in order for things to be easier and "better", they still use sprites. Oh, but not only that, with each year the sprite work and animation work only gets better. What? You think it stops there? They also put in the effort of updating the trash sprite and animations of year 1 units. Finally, they also give skins to characters, instead of making a million different units for a costume change or something (the only exception, of course, being summer and christmas characters).

And SEGA is no small indie dev, nor are they in a SNK situation. This is pure lazyness and greediness on their side. There's no other reason for them to not only change to 3D instead of making better sprites, but to also not give different models and EB's for the new characters. Funnily enough, it's way easier to give different costumes to a 3D model and implement them in-game than it is for sprites.

For those of you who remain active on this sub, could you please post the composition of your offensive and defensive teams, including weapons and souls? My brigade is doing alright (closing in on top 10) but I'd like to contribute more. I know that using Sleepy Giselle is crucial to stripping buffs with an AOE char, and that I need to build a strong defensive team. I'm just wondering if slapping my strongest 6-star weapons on my lvl 100 characters is doing enough. Please list specific char/wpn/soul combos that do best in the brigade war meta. Thank you.

Is Red Rosalinde bugged, or is she supposed to not change her sprite or EB animations upon diverging?

Enjoy the whales & cheaters while you can, as you are pushing out the last few remaining honest players.

I really like this game, is one of the few gatcha games that I like. The only problem I have with it is the amount of storage it uses, while my phone can handle the game, 7+ GB is a bit too much at times (at least for me).

So, does anyone know if can I play the game in a emulator like Nox without risking being banned?

Did i miss Selvaria and if not when is she coming?
