Hello, long time fan since 2006, frequent subreddit lurker, gonna change that and join.
Can someone help me out, am I crazy or was there a quaranstream concert sometime during the pandemic I can't find online? I can almost vividly remember a beautiful & haunting Spit it Out (Echo Echo rendition) live from an elegant house that I can't find anywhere. Am I imagining this? Did I dream it? Anyone know what I'm talking about and/or where to find it? Thank you immensely for your guidance.
Well, all of IAMX has helped me through difficult times. But No Maker Made Me was especially great.
At the time, I was homeless, being provided a bed and food under a religious organization. Every day the evangelical priest tried and tried to convert me, an atheist. Around this time was when this song came out, and it held me together for those months.
Sometimes people don't realize how much music can help in life, and for me this helped me hold on.
I love this group so much.
I know that technically songs from K+S and The Alternative were meant for Sneaker Pimps, but I'm talking about songs from their 3 official albums. Has Chris and the co ever played/covered them?
Couldn't resist taking a pic after last nights show in Gothenburg, Sweden as I waited to get my synth stands back that were used in the backline for the show. Amazing performance btw!
Anyone wants a ticket for the London show? Bf can’t make it anymore, I’m still going, so I’m selling 1 ticket.
Had to sell my ticket for the London date coming up this month and safe to say I’m heartbroken, I’m working the next day and wouldn’t be able to get back to my town in time. If anyone is going and willing to take some videos could you shoot me a message?
The energy and sound was amazing, it was my third time and at least at good as the first two gigs I've seen. I missed Sammi but Chris' vocals made up for it, best so far! Just posting this after reading some stuff about them being late or the show being disappointing. For me it was great.
I would like to exchange experiences about yesterdays concert in Leipzig. I love IAMX and were looking very forward to the concert, but was a bit dissappointed overall. The concert startet one hour late, without anyone saying when it will start or why it was delayed. I've also had the feeling that the instruments weren't mixed properly, as the drums overwhelmed the other instruments and sometimes even Chris voice. So many people in the front rows had their phones out for filming or making videos, which blocked the view and overall I had the feeling that some people weren't considered of the people behind them and if they had a good show. I was also a bit sad that they didn't even played 1,5 hours but less. Maybe I had to high expectation because I go regular to all different types of concerts, but I still left when it ended with a bad feeling.
What are your thoughts?
Hello, I'm looking for a buddy to chat about IAMX and perhaps go to the show in Madrid on 07.10 together. I'm not from Spain, but I will be staying in Madrid for a month, I speak English and some Spanish and French. I'd be happy to connect!
I'd also appreciate it if you could tell me on which platforms the IAMX fans hang out the most - I guess I have been out of the loop in the recent years.
Hey guys I got covid and am missing cold waves for the third year in a row (all because of covid) 🙄 If anyone wants a last minute ticket to tonight’s show Ill sell it for $25. Way cheaper than it’ll be at the door.
The context of the line here seems to follow this misconception most people have, that trauma bonding means bonding through shared trauma. The song itself seems to be about finding your place, with your people (sort of like the mantras of 'IAMX Tribe!' And 'cult of IAMX!'), which is why I think Chris thinks Trauma Bonding means bonded through trauma you've both suffered.
It doesn't. It means you've bonded with your abuser because of the trauma they've given you and cycle of abuse. Which knowing this, gives the song a completely different, Stockholm Syndrome feel to it
I didn't realize there were two different versions of this album. I believe this one is the newer version which I haven't heard, so that was a nice surprise. Sound quality is excellent; you also get high quality digital files if you purchase it from the website.
Recently listened to Spit it Out and was wondering what other songs you’d suggest I listen to by IAMX
Amazing live show. You can hear him ask the lights to be turned down at the end of this video. It was the last good video/pics I could get and it was right at the beginning. I feel so lucky being able to see him in such a small venue. Crazy creative talent.
Before I purchase one from the Mayan website, is there anyone selling a ticket for LA show?
Going soon and I wanna know what to prepare for
