Why is this subreddit so quiet? Well...

Welcome to the sub and if you are already subscribed, thanks for your interest.

I recently discovered there was a request to have me removed as mod and the sub transferred. Fortunately, despite my temporary absence, that did not happen.
So a little explanation here in case it happens again...

I started the sub for a couple of reasons. The first being that I wanted a place to keep a library of the best current info I could find. I'd seen a growlight builder do something similar.

Also, I read the opinions and contradictory advice being given to new growers in other subs and wanted to offer a quiet place of coco science, with no misleading information whatsoever. Not even my opinions are needed here. Just facts.

Coco growers haven't seen much change in the science or techniques over 15 years and the advances that have been made are included in the posts on this sub.

So, I don't post coco stuff just for the sake of posting something. I post genuinely new or improved information as and when I find it.
I hope it's useful to other growers and, hey, if you want a big argument with me about pH, I will see you over at

Blessings!
