"I'm happy because I assumed Humber College would send out offers on February 1st." Today, I got my offer to Humber College's Practical Nursing program! I would be very grateful if anyone could share their knowledge or suggestions on the program.
so im i need some suggestions on some gned courses to take. ive already taken soci150, and gned 101. i was given a list to choose from but like 90% of the classes no longer exist, and the other 10% is about like about sexuality/gender studies which i am not interested in, or courses im not allowed to take with my program. please send some suggestions that are for sure running in winter 2024!
I’m posting this because Humber residence is getting ridiculous! Their washing machines put stains my Billie Eillish concert t (among other things) and what have they done? Literally nothing useful. I told them I wanted compensation for my damaged items and they’ve sent me email basically just trying to calm me down. After three weeks of emailing they put white sheets in the same machine to test it and because it didn’t damage their sheets they told me I was out of luck. I’ve done this load laundry before and everything was the same the stains where literally the machines fault. But I just wanted to see if people thought I was being too demanding because I think wanting compensation for damages is very realistic.
Does this program have a dosage calculations course because I dont see it on the website looking threw the courses?
Unless you aspire to become a professional who can't work in a certain profession unless they possess a specific set of educational qualifications under their belt (teacher, lawyer, doctor, accountant, pharmacist, engineer, corporate manager), then you shouldn't go to university. Period. Anyone that has a Bachelor of Arts degree and did not follow up on that degree by going to law school or teacher's college or academia made a big mistake and they know it. If you wanna just get by in life and secure a decent job that will pay your bills and put food on the table then college is the best option for you.
Let me share my story and give an insight as to why I feel this way. I (M28) graduated with a BA degree in English 2 years ago (October 2022). The original plan was to become a teacher but as time went on I realized more and more how much I hated school, how much school hated me, and how much I sucked at it. English was the only subject I was good at in high school and I still wasn't good enough to earn good grades that would have me accepted to teacher's college. Oh and I absolutely hated English despite being good at it in high school... all I ever did was read book summaries and write dreadful essays about topics that I despised. I wish I had studied psychology or political science instead. Not only that, I realized how hard and competitive it is to land teaching gigs especially when it's a female dominated industry. I decided a year before graduating from uni that I would follow up on my BA degree with some college education in order to make myself more employable by gaining a career oriented credential. I was undecided between human resource management and supply chain management, then I picked supply chain management. Fast forward to January 2023, I had just started supply chain management postgraduate certificate at Humber College and I felt proud of myself for being in a classroom where I'm actually learning relevant things about the world and things that actually hold weight for the first time ever. 90 percent of my classmates were international students from India who were academically gifted and who had educational backgrounds in business, engineering, and technology so the subject material felt like a piece of cake for them in stark contrast to me who really struggled.
So, I feel proud for going to Humber College and studying a subject that not only held weight in the real world and was a critical component of the business world but also one that I liked and was interested in. I feel proud to be a Humber College graduate (graduated in June 2024). I couldn't look people in the eye when asked me what I studied before June 2024 but now I can confidently answer and say that I studied business. I feel proud of being a double alumnus but I STILL regret going to York University.
I got accepted to OTA/PTA but requested for deferral last May 2024 because due to a scheduling conflict, I had to move my application to Fall term of Sept 2025. But there’s still no update so I’m not sure if I need to apply again for the course or just wait for the new offer letter. The email said not to resubmit the deferral request again so I’m not sure what to do now. Maybe someone had the same experience? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I am starting at Humber College this winter 2025 in the Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting program at the Lakeshore campus and I have some questions about how to put my schedule together.
First, do you guys think it's best to put one class back-to-back with another, or would it be more practical to leave some time in between each? I'm a little worried about having to move quickly between classrooms.
Also, any advice on how to balance the schedule? For example, is it better to have two classes a day or try to spread them out more, with one class each day of the week? I want to make sure I have enough time to study and rest.
Lastly, does anyone know when the class registration date is for winter term 2025? When I try to register, I only see options for fall and I'm not sure what to do.
Any advice is welcome! Thanks in advance.
Hi, I was wondering when the confirmation of enrollment for winter letter will be on myhumber because I need it like rn. I already check on myhumber and it only has the fall one, I need the winter one.
Any Halloween party’s on north campus or like in walking distance

Hey everyone, I was wondering if any of you guys are in the supply chain management bachelors program at lakeshore campus?
What is Duration and end date of Practical Nursing program at Humber College of 4 semester if it starts in Jan 2025 and second semester is Sep 2025.
Is there any way possible that you don't take break.
Hey guys. I’m currently a 13th grade student. I took another year due to some missing pre-requisites. My dream program is the PN program. (Practical Nursing). I just had a few questions for anyone who attends, or attended, and has some information regarding Humber admissions, and Humber itself.
Q1: What averages/grades do I need to get into practical nursing?
Q2: I’m from Milton, is it worth the commute? Do any of you also go from Milton as well to Humber (North Campus)
Q3: Is it easy to make friends on campus?
Q4: Any tips or advice you want to give?
I appreciate all of your responses, TIA.
Is anyone taking this route towards Michener’s MRI program? A lot people in this program seem to be taking it for nursing
I am planning on taking the real state admission test “ Accuplacer test “ and I would like to know how difficult is it ?
I read that there is no fail but in the Humber website it says to approve you should get at least 250 score in math, reading and writing so I’m confused. Can somebody give me an advice? Thanks in advance!
Hey. I recently graduated and I'm selling the following textbooks. I'm located in Mississauga.
Hello everyone, I'm an international student enrolled in Seneca atm, I am studying CPA (Computer programming and analysis) but I don't think I'm cut out for the IT field. I think I could stand out in the nursing field cause of my extroverted and hospitable personality. Never been a tech guy (I thought i was) until I started the first semester. Seneca don't accept international students in the medical field and I want to transfer programs hopefully the nursing field. Is there anyone who did thesame? and if so do I have to take chemistry and biology exams? I was an ABM (Accounting, Business and Management) student in senior high school so we didn't have chemistry nor biology.
is it just me or is the campus wifi not working?
