Hey all! I’m still looking for players in my Tuesday D&D 5e games, we start at 6:30PM. This is run at a little shop in Stafford called Golem's Gate, They've got a meetup and it's got the address/location there as well
The game is set in the Kobold Press setting of Midgard, a fantasy European-style world with inspiration from Norse, Greek, Celtic and Egyptian mythologies. There isn’t a pre-made story for the group, they’re going on their own adventures as they like, taking jobs from an Adventurer’s Guild. The two current players have some long-term goals but beyond that are looking to have more adventurers join them for a long-term adventure.
The group is currently level 3 and using the 2014 ruleset, so still pretty new to the adventuring life. I let my players roll for their ability scores, rolling 4d6 and re-rolling any dice that show 2 or less. They get max HP at every level. They are also using a Gestalt system which allows you to have 2 classes at once, rather than multi-classing.

I’ll be doing a little catch-up Session 0 session next Tuesday 11/05/24 for any new players who want to join to get them set up and introduced to the current group.

Hey Y'all,
I was wondering if anyone in the area is DMing or would be willing to DM a Star Wars Force and Destiny or Lord of the Rings 5E RP?
Hey guys! I'm running an IRL game starting on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM. If you're in the South West Houston area, Stafford, Missouri City, or Sugarland of Texas area the shop I'm running this at is called Golem's Gate, they're a little family owned place that lets players pay for a table to play their games at, it's 3$ per player per hour
I'll be running a system called Fabula Ultima that has players helping build the world before making characters to be the heroes of it. It's a roll 2 dice against a target number system, so it's similar to DnD in that respect, but the classes aren't a set path, instead every level you take in a class allows you to take a skill or rank in a skill from that class. It uses a system akin to older final fantasy games by using Mana Points to use abilities rather than slots.
If you're local and looking for something to liven up your tuesday evenings just use the link and sign up! Seats are limited to 6 players so it's a first come first served kind of system. This will be a long-running game so please anticipate coming regularly if you want to join!
Game Fee: 3$/hr per player. (About 10.50$ a session) System: Fabula Ultima Time: Tuesdays 6:30 PM (Usually lasts until 10PM) Location: 4645 S Main St, Stafford, TX 77477 Frequency: Weekly Friendly to New Players: Yes
Looking for players to join DnD game in Houston Texas Woodlands area. Meetup times start at around 4:30 PM and last till 10, but sometimes start at 5:30 or 6:30. Currently have 2 players and a DM, need atleast 4 players and max 6. DnD 5E. For more details or if you’re interested send me a message.
Previously Forever GM, preferably player. Biweekly or monthly, schedule somewhat flexible.
Games (include but not limited to): D&D 5e, PF2, CoC 6e, GURPS 4e, Hero 6e, DCC, Palladium/Rifts/TMNT, Firefly RPG, Star Trek Adventures, Star Wars (d6 or Saga), VtM 20/5e, D20 Modern, Alien, Tales from the Loop, HackMaster (old), AFMBE, BtVS/Angel/Army of Darkness, ASoIaF RPG, Marvel (FASERIP), Toon, Teenagers from Outer Space, Carwars/Autoduel, Rolemaster.
Willing to learn new games. 40 years experience.
It's currently looking like I will be moving back to Houston sometime around August. I'll probably land on the west side of town, 'though I don't yet know precisely where.
Over the past year, I have run a public D&D 5E drop-in game at the library, a private D&D 5E campaign based on Earthdawn which has lasted 3 years, an FFG Star Wars miniseries (F&D + EoE), and a variety of one-shots.
When I was last in Houston, I ran ShadowRun and Feng Shui games for GeekLife (RIP), some D&D 4e and 5e, and a smattering of other systems, including some more narrative systems.
I'm particularly interested in finding or running Traveller (Cepheus), PBTA-based games, Ars Magica. The most likely campaign for me to run at present is a PBTA-based version of ShadowRun, in a generational style where the players live through the history of SR with one major run per year, starting around 2010.
Feel free to touch base if these sound like interesting options, or if you are looking to add a player around the end of summer.
Recently met up with some old friends and started up our first DnD campaign! Most of us had little to no experience except one, so we had a meetup or two setting up character sheets and discussing rules. Once that was out of the way we were ready to go and planned out session 1!
The session went really well, our DM was a bit new to doing it so he made a few mistakes here and there, and of course with most of us being new as well, it was a bit of a workshop, however we had a hell of a lot of fun and were wanting more.
Then the scheduling issues happened. Unfortunately my fiance works weekends Fri-Mon, and a few members of the group plus the DM weren't really willing to re-schedule the weekly meetup as it would conflict with others schedules, which is understandable. However it's come up recently that our DM will also be moving soon for work for a few months, and we'll have to postpone continuing the session till he gets back in about half a year.
So, myself, my fiance, and a member or two of the group are looking for a new DM to start a campaign with! We have character sheets made and ready (Level 3 starting off), mini-figs that we painted and designed ourselves, an apartment with a decent size table in the Baytown area of east Houston, and are eager to continue our adventures!
We're looking for a DM who meets the following criteria:
There's a few other things here and there, but the last thing any of us want is to break the immersion of the world, and become too strong from these traits. All are primarily for roleplay purposes
Whoever's reading this who meets the criteria and is interested or wants to discuss, can't wait to hear from you!
Hi,
I game on Friday nights, 8:00-whenever, in League City (near Kemah). I do board games biweekly. I’d like to start doing RPGs the other days. Is anybody in the area and interested in getting together?
My board game group plays many different kinds of board games, though I prefer Amerithrash style games myself. As for RPGs, I’ve played and run gobs and gobs of them. I prefer medium-crunch games, not story games.
I hope to hear from you. Have a great day!
Hello , I'll be at Houston for a summer internship. I am looking for people to play some frp. I played DND before but open to play other settings as well. Send me a dm if you are looking for a player ! Story or one shot doesnt matter !
We are Barhaven! And we run RPG nights at a couple of bars around Houston! We have multiple DMs, tables, dice, maps, character sheets and drink specials at three locations. Every other Monday at Equal Parts brewing Every Tueday except the last of the month at Rudyards. And each and every Sunday at Penny Whistle Pub! We start around 6 and find tables for players as they show up. Happy hour at all locations for players. One shots, campaigns available. Great for beginners or vets. We even offer a free set of dice your first time sitting with us. Are you game?
Hey Houston gamers! I just wanted to let everyone know that I and another GM will be running a set of D&D5e campaigns using the same table, alternating which of us GMs on a weekly or as needed basis.
The Games:
Tales of Exandria- GM: Jorge W.
This is a player-driven game where the group will get to explore the Exandria setting while finding their way and weaving their stories together.
Servants of the Lost King- GM: Jessi H.
This is a story-driven game in which the characters have been raised by a necromancer to do his bidding while being allowed to maintain most of their autonomy. Will they serve? Or rebel? Break away?
For the Session 0 we will discuss how we run our games, the differences between them and how we should all treat each other at the table. Then we will all make our characters for both games and talk about the starting and which game we'll be starting the following week.
The players who attend this session will be given priority over others when signing up in the future, so make sure you're ready to attend and make the time commitment so that everyone can see your stories flourish together. We’re hoping to get 3 permanent weekly players to join this game adn have a couple of seats where one or two guests could sit- however up to 5 players can join this game!
Where:
We meet at a small shop in Stafford, near the intersection of 90 and Southwest Freeway.
The address: 4645 S. Main St. Stafford, TX
This is a small family run shop which means we try our best not to curse, swear or be excessively nasty to keep things friendly. We do ask that you wear a mask when playing, though if you need to take it off to breathe for a bit that’s fine, due to the Covid situation if you’re not feeling well we would prefer if you stayed home and rested so you can get better faster.
When:
The game will meet every week on Tuesdays from 6-9PM CST
How:
The shop uses Meetup.com to organize events. You will need an account to sign up.

Session 1 Link: https://www.meetup.com/GolemsGate/events/283506432/
I as a GM use dndbeyond to share the content I have with players, if you want make an account and I will send you a link to a campaign so you can borrow my content to make a character sheet. Make sure ot bring dice, pencils, and a notebook to the sessions so you can keep track of what goes on.
We look forward to seeing you! And feel free to ask questions or share this to other people who might be interested!
Every Monday night at 6pm The Choose Your Adventurer Guild will have a couple of tables open for players looking to play some D&D! No xp needed! We have the character sheets, the minis, the dice and the Dms. All we need are more players! The Coral Sword on Telephone road is the best place to play D&D in person these days. Socially distanced and comfy. Masks required- come and be a hero!
A couple friends and I started a campaign that I am DM a while back. Due to complications, two out of the four members had to drop the game, but the rest of us would like to continue. We ran a few games with just the three of us, but we can really see the difference between a full party an what we currently have now.
If anyone is interested in joining, (new to the game or a seasoned vet) please let me know and we’ll take things from there.
We play a home brew, loose 5e campaign on fantasy grounds. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hey guys, so long story short: My small group of friends and I were super into D&D! We were running three campaigns two days a week. My girlfriend of 5 years started up a romance with my best friend's character (She was also my girlfriend and I's roommate). They were getting really... Physical and a little too "into it" but I shrugged it off... Thought I was being paranoid and they were just gal pals... Anyways fast forward a few months later and I find out she cheated on me with her and they were sleeping together while we all lived under the same roof.
Sooo needless to say, I couldn't be part of that D&D group anymore... While our mutual friends didn't condone their actions, they said they can't lose two players and kick them out and I couldn't stand to be around them anymore. Took all my shit and left them to pay the rent however they could. But in the end of it all... I really fucking miss D&D. It gave me something to look forward to, something fun and exciting! I'm in law school now so I stay pretty busy but please please please let me join in your campaigns every once in a while! It'd make all this pain and loss a little easier to bear!
I run a weekly pick up D&D game at Coral Sword cafe over on Telephone road. We have a couple of DMs waiting around to run games for beginners or anyone who wants to play. We also try and put people in touch to create on going campaigns. We show up usually twice a week. If anyone is interested please take a look at the facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1448119668662532/
No dice or experience necessary! Perfect for people who can't commit to a long campaign yet, who have never played

I've been fully embracing my inner nerd for the first time since high school this year. I was in an airport reading a fantasy book and got into a conversation with someone and they started talking about their experiences playing dnd and pathfinder and it got me really excited!
So basically I'm looking to get into some tabletop stuff this next year. I'm 25M and live in the downtown area but I'm down to travel a bit for it. Let me know if there's anyone looking to adopt a wee one into your group or any others looking to start one.

Looks like there aren't that many Houston-area RPGers on reddit?
Hey Houston, Some of you may know me as the loud mouth always beat Tyler at the board game night at Rudyard's every thursday. I've also been a DM for rpgs for the better part of six years with two long running campaigns and currently running a 5e game. I love rpg games. Pencil and paper is where it's at. I see a lot of posts in lfg and the main houston sub about groups and finding people, and thought we could use our own houston meeting space here.
So, what kinds of things do you want to see here?
