Trying to host a php website on hostinger

I've been researching hostinger for a while and I'm thinking about hosting my php website there along with its database. Does anybody experience hosting a website on hostinger with their database using SQLite? Is it possible?

Looking for dedicated servers with 30+TB total HDD storage in the US

My new product will require a significant amount of data storage.

Cloud solutions are expensive, so I'm considering using a couple of dedicated hosting companies that offer servers with at least 30TB of total HDD storage—one as a primary datacenter and another as a failover.

I've found NetDynamics24 and OneProvider, but are there any other hosting companies in the market that I should consider?

Made a website with fasthosts, can't get free hosting

Fasthosts have already got me paying them a few quid a month, but now they want £35/year to take away the 'Not Secure' button. How can I get a free one (I know they're available).

PlanetHoster / Hosting multiple websites on one big account or multiple small accounts

Hi,

I host a number of small websites (Wordpress) with small traffic at PlanetHoster on The World offer.

In your opinion, is it better to host websites on :

- one account The World Pro (Semi-dedicated environment, Litespeed Entreprise | LSCache | LiteMage), full of resources 8 CPU, 24 Gb RAM, 24 MB/s disk I/O

- or multiple normal The World accounts 2 CPU, 2 Gb RAM, 2 MB/s disk I/O

Thanks per advance for your answers

Looking for Hosting in Black Friday Offers

Hi guys! 👋

As it is the Black Friday season, I am now looking for web hosting to get up a good deal and save some money for my projects. I am currently looking for shared or reseller hosting only. I am not interested in VPS, dedicated or colo hosting through. I am currently looking for hosting with these specifications:

  • Websites: 10+ (mostly build with ReactJS, with 2 build with MySQL and PHP).
  • Bandwidth: 100+ GB
  • Storage: 10GB
  • RAM: 1+ GB a
  • Location: Malaysia & Singapore
  • Control Panel: DirectAdmin (preferably due to low licensing fee for hosting provider -> low hosting fee) / cPanel
  • SSH: Preferably
  • Price: $35/year

(For bandwidth, websites, storage, and RAM, this is the minimum, if you have a higher specs for such price, I am okay too.)

I am not interested in free hosting like GitHub Pages, Vercel, Netlify and everything similar. If you have an offer that have fit my specifications and price, please let me know (comment / DMs).

Best webhost comparison sites? (no affiliate mills)

Hey guys,
it's so hard nowadays to find honest review sites, do they even still exist? What's the best place to compare webhosts?
(still looking for decent value/money competition to hostinger)

Problem with sending emails.

Hi, I have problem with sending emails. I have django server running on vps and I try to use email adress/server from my domain. I set DNS TXT record for my domain:
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
When I try send email to gmail from my django server I get this error:
```
host gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[173.194.222.27]said:    550-5.7.26 Your email has been blocked because the sender is    unauthenticated. 550-5.7.26 Gmail requires all senders to authenticate with    either SPF or DKIM. 550-5.7.26  550-5.7.26  Authentication results:    550-5.7.26  DKIM = did not pass 550-5.7.26  SPF [drugaksiazka.pl] with ip:    [46.242.245.103] = did not pass 550-5.7.26  550-5.7.26  For instructions on    setting up authentication, go to 550 5.7.26
```
How to solve this problem?

Cheap host with great migration service? (Away from hostinger, currently, visitors are getting really bad captchas and errors)

Hey guys!
TL;DL Looking for really good value/money host recommendations with awesome migration service. I've got a couple of emails, parked domains, and 1 real WP website on hostinger that I'm all hoping my new webhost will migrate for me.

Rant I'm so ready to switch. Discovered just a few months ago that when my visitors use a VPN, they often can't access my website at all, or they get a captcha that doesn't stop until what feels like 8-12 rounds of 'clicking the squares' is completed. (When I'm faced with one of these, I usually give up after ~round 5). But yeah, even worse than that: often the site just won't load and they get a nasty, unspecified error until the VPN is turned off (not failing gracefully). Can't be switched off. Support doesn't care or doesn't understand that this isn't OK.
Long-term I will probably switch to a static site builder (from my WP) that I can just throw on netlify, so for now I'm mostly switching out of spite (and to save money, as an expensive renewal is coming up).

Looking for VPS Providers with Top-Up Invoices (No Client Bank Information Required)

I plan to use my research funding to rent a VPS. I hope to find some VPS provider can top-up, and my institute requires an invoice for top-up payment, without client bank account from neither mine nor the institute's. Because the institute should first review the invoice and then pay for it, and I don't know the bank information of the institute. I'm not sure if any VPS providers can issue a top-up invoice like this.

Thanks!

Ionos may have scammed me

So I tried to pay for ionos hosting and payment was successful but I never received a confirmation email. This happened on 2 occasions using different banking details. My banks say the payment was successful but ionos are saying my payment wasn't processed. It's been a week with no refund and no way to contact them via email. Twitter support give very vague answers.

Is this how they operate their business? Cause it surely does feel like I've been scammed

Update: Ionos scammed me

Ionos saying they can't track the payment. How is it possible they can't track payments from two different bank accounts I made the payment from....huge red flag

Hosting Providers with Isolated Website Containers

I was about to sign up for a Krystal reseller account for my 20 client websites until I found Hustly, which offers isolated website containers on their standard hosting plans with more resources than Krystal. My UK clients only need the isolated containers and don't require reseller features. Are there other good hosting providers that offer isolated website containers on their standard hosting plans?

Considering Switching to ScalaHosting from Cloudways—Looking for Opinions!

Hello, I’m currently using Cloudways but I’m not satisfied with the service. Today, I saw a great Black Friday deal at ScalaHosting (which I don’t know much about), and I wanted to ask if anyone has had a good experience with them. They offer 2 CPUs, 4GB of RAM, and 50GB of disk space, which seems like a solid deal. Plus, I believe their servers allow LiteSpeed. How do they compare to Cloudways with DigitalOcean? Any thoughts or feedback?"

Cheapest option for 12 month webhosting, (free) domain and one business email?

So far I've found this:

1.) $33 for a 12 month Hostinger hosting plan, including a free domain it says (Developer says this might only be a temporary domain (temp.companyname.com) or is this a normal domain in the sense of just companyname.com ? They don't say anything about it being temporary or not a normal one, so to me it looks like once you sign up you can then just claim the normal domain you want.) No idea why he'd say that if that's the case.

2.) Then $15 for a namecheap.com business email.

Is that the best available or there's something better out there? Also is it a hassle to connect the namecheap business email to the domain of the other hosting provider (Hostinger, if that's even necessary) or completely fine and no trouble? I'm a complete beginner in this raum and just would like to get all 3 as easy and affordable as possible. Any insights are appreciated.

Thanks!

Looking for people who used MechanicWeb

I'm considering hosting with them because they have the best specs of any host I've seen. My issue is that they have few reviews, although the recent ones I looked at where positive (only a handful though). Does anyone have experience with? Especially over a year or two. Are they good?

Are those prices renewable or only for the first year?!! (Namecheap, GreenGeeks)?

I checked GreenGeeks hosting subscription and it's $23.40 after coupon (-$132).
and for namecheap the shared stellar is $22.88 /yr.

I'm afraid that these prices are only to lure me in for the first year, does anyone have experience with that?

Virus Scan - Unavailable on Inmotionhosting VPS

I've used several hosting providers over several years.

A client's inmotion VPS server is malware infected. And I can't find the Virus scanning option on the cPanel. Rather it seems like Inmotionhosting is trying to upsell Monarx security.

Is this the case? Or am I missing something?

I'm no expert with the terminal, but it appears like I can't install ClamAV.

All help is hugely appreciated!

EDIT: To be just, the virus scanning option is available for free via the Monarx app, but it's just the cleanup feature that I've used somewhere else before that is now not apparently available, unless I get the Monarx app. - I say apparently because maybe it's somewhere and I've missed it somehow.

EDIT: Also I reached out to Inmotionhosting, and the support officer was kind enough to install Immunify on the cPanel. So now I can scan, and am able to manually see which files are infected.

How to host a Website on IONOS VPS?

Hey, I'm relatively new to all this. So I have my Website already done (coded it myself using HTML & CSS). I also bought a domain via namecheap and for hosting IONOS VPS Linux XS.

I looked on the web for guides on how to proceed, but I couldn't really find anything, so maybe one of you has some experience with that. What do I have to do next?

Edit: Problem solved. Some very nice person guided me through with all that :)
