Any good GP in Hobart for managing perimenopause symptoms? Appreciate any help.
Anyone know of any places that sell onigiri? Absolutely craving some - could make it myself but I'd rather not
Hi everyone,
I’m an experienced baker with over 6 years in the industry, specializing in artisan breads, sourdough, and some pastries. Currently relocating to Hobart, Tasmania. I’m seeking opportunities to join a passionate bakery team. I have extensive experience in dough preparation, baking techniques, and maintaining food safety standards, along with strong teamwork and time management skills.
If you know of any bakeries hiring in Hobart, or if you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear from you!
Thank you!
Especially houses with wide bay and ocean views? With the new Spring Farm Cole’s being built next year and the new AFl centre it starting to look like an attractive alternative to inner city. Nice pub and cafes and brewery . Have my eye on a couple options for 3bdr 2 bthrm houses for a longer term Investment. What do you reckon?
Let’s say, hypothetically, because I’m asking for a friend, you found some glasses that ‘some’ blow-in from the mainland lost while out for a stroll along Collins Street and the Rivulet trail to the Cascades, where would you put them … ‘cause, you know, just maybe … thanks in advance
Hi all, looking to buying a house in Austins Ferry, what are everyone’s thoughts on the area?
Made a shein order, put my address in, everything is exact accept the street name autocorrected to a completely different word, I didn't realise until it was too late and I can't change it,
Was wondering if anyone knew it they'd send an email or maybe just take it to a nearby post office or something
I need to get a vehicle inspection for an interstate registration transfer.
We have a Mazda 3, so I booked into the Mazda dealership. Then I read the reviews and started to get cold feet. Almost every review about a sale is five stars, but almost every review about a service is one star! 😬
There is a list of approved inspection stations here. Has anyone used one they would recommend?
Thanks so much!
Also, if you can recommend a solid mechanic for future services, I'd be grateful. (Or am I overthinking it? Should I stick with the Mazda dealership?)
I've recently started doing a lot of turbo training on Zwift over the last 4-5 months and am still kicking along with it and enjoying every ride. I picked up a second hand bike, which at the time I knew was probably a frame size too small. However, I have made it comfortable and it is otherwise very serviceable for me. Since I'm still going strong at it and intend to continue I thought I'd buy myself something a little nicer and in the right size. I'd like to stay with the physical bike / turbo trainer combo.
I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to road cycling (and somewhat cycling generally) but am very used to measuring etc. and have a grasp on key factors like seat-post length, stack height, reach etc.
I see that Roll Cycles do fitting as well as 99Bikes who have just put a physical shopfront in. As I'm kind of 'bike agnostic' at present knowing my existing one isn't exactly correct, do either of these or another provider have the jig for fitting. I'd be keen on booking a session where I could take my bike in if needed, but ideally I'd just like a readout of the measurements / handlebar & saddle sizing etc. that I could follow.
I'm fairly flexible and willing to travel is required (i.e. There's a better place in Laune etc.) if it means not dragging a bike all over the state.
Could you recommend a cheap English school to study in Hobart, help me ♥️
So, I moved to Hobart six months ago from abroad. I’m from Asia and not a Christian. Never really participated in Christmas. I moved here all on my own and didn’t know anyone. Have a bit of social anxiety and introverted too.
I don’t mind being on my own and passing the time alone cause I’m used to it. But, instead of doing that, I feel like I want to volunteer and give a helping hand during Christmas or on Christmas Day. I feel like I wanna get in touch with the locals.
I’ve looked up online about volunteering during Christmas. Couldn’t find much. I’m a small guy and not really good servicing a lot of people. I don’t have much experience. But still want to give a helping hand.
I’m just wondering if some of would know an organisation or some sort that might need a hand to help during Christmas. Also for the side note, I’m currently working as a casual and supposed to be done by 20th of December. Hoping they won’t extend the dates and I wouldn’t have to change plans later.
Thank you in advance! 🙏
Hey Hobartians, I'm really wanting to learn how to cook Japanese foo, but know that if I start an online course, I will no doubt trail off in interest.
I would love to attend an in-person class. I know it's a long shot (nothing on Google...) but has anyone done one of these in Hobart? Any potential leads? Any past classes or people I can follow to hear of any new classes coming up?
Thanks :)
Hey, my partner and I will be alone in Hobart for Xmas this year. I’m wondering if there are any restaurants, pubs etc that do anything for xmas day.
My body is on tabs, I'm in hospital covid and gastro got me wanting to spit raps into tapes like I'm laughing. I need green and smokes to relax. I'm passionate to become as something as Ash Keshem. But when I look down I see is all these fights. I wanted to be that kid. Not be bullied and told I would sell my soul for gold. But here I am fighting machines off like a real woman. Man I'll be alright. I don't want hiphop or anyone to fight. I need the shit for me. Isabella my inner demons, has to be changed to bayleaf. I'm looking at being homeless again, because i get beef with my inner demons. When I should just be happy to be me.
I'm after skinny, round brown shoelaces...maybe leather? I've tried the local supermarkets, which don't even extend their range to brown. Where in Hobart might I go to fulfil my desires?
What's peoples opinions on Liquorlands compared to the old 9/11 bottleshops?
Please spare me the typical joke of "9/11 wasn't open until 11" 😂
Heyo, Mum passed without a will and we’ve got a house in the estate under her name. Just curious which lawyers would be good for this either in Bridgewater or Hobart. The main thing is that she did leave a written note saying that the house was to be left for my brother and me, so we’ll need to get a base will from that, and I’m not sure how much work would come out of it all.
We’re paying insurance and the rates for the house.
I just moved back from Canada to help my brother with this and I’m not sure what direction to take. Thank you for your time.
Does anybody know if the my home scheme can be used to purchase land? I've searched and searched on their website and emailed and I can't find clarification... Hoping to buy land soon
My son has been going to zap, pays weekly (manually as they stuffed up the direct debit) now we get a text to say that he owes 818$ which he doesn't. (Which isn't even the amount in total)
I'll call them Monday with receipts. But does anyone know who we can approach to get him out of contract as they're failing to provide a secure payment system.
(Technically zap not at fault. Their finance systems debitsuccess are at fault)
*edit: Going to ignore them. Thanks for the replies
Anyone remember what was there before Woolies? I can't remember for the life of me
I initially rang them up and was told they'll email someone because the truck is still driving around, they just have to sort out which category truck to send out. Then a different person rang me back and said sorry, the person you talked to is new here, we can't do that because it will contaminate something (The truck?) you'll have to bag it up and put it in the waste bin next week.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How annoyed would you be if you were suddenly stuck with zero bin capacity for the next week... would you be annoyed enough to go through the rubbish and see who did it?
Verrry long way away lol but when looking to buy a house have to be thinking about what the public schools in the catchments are like when the time comes for my guy. I’ve read good things about Kingston primary but can’t find much on the high school? Anyone have any experience there?
Am considering Shark StainStriker Portable Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner. Anyone had experience with this? Or maybe a Bissell or Hoover CleanSlate?
Hi does anyone know of cheap rubbish collection service fortnightly apart from the council? I would like to order separate bins for my property as council only collects bins fortnightly. Have talked to JJ Richards and it comes to about $30 per fortnight for both general waste and recycle bins.
