Frida turn Daniel my OC into a mannequin.
I love Hilda, its easily among my Top 5 animated series alongside ATLA, The Owl House & Phineas and Ferb. However, I do feel like there are some stuff that wasn't explored when it came to the third season, such as a deeper dive into Hilda's relationship with her father & Louise's presence limited to 2 background cameos after The Laughing Merman.
However, one thing I feel like is forgotten about in Season 3 for the most part, is Hilda being Frida's Familiar. This is gonna a very unpopular opinion (at least if TVTropes is any indication), but I really liked the idea of the central main character being a familiar of another main character as it made for an interesting dynamic.
While it is followed up on in Season 2, during Season 3 I feel like its not touched upon, according to TVTropes it was most likely due to its unpopularity, but I don't exactly believe that myself, I do think it the 3rd Season being limited to 8 episodes didn't exactly help in that regard.
I do wish it had a bit more presence, as with the reveal of Hilda being a fairy the series finale, it does make a lot of sense, as fairies can easily be seen as familiars or sidekicks, the first two that come to mind are Navi from The Legend of Zelda & Tinkerbell from Peter Pan.
Plus, there is a moment in the finale where Hilda sees Frida & David when they are looking for Twig, and Hilda realizes Twig is with Loam. I feel like Frida is able to hear Hilda in that instance, as after Hilda says he's with Loam, Frida instantly realizes he's inside, and I do headcanon that might be due to Hilda being a familiar.
I am curious, what would you guys of done to in regards to Hilda being Frida's familiar in Season 3?
Personally, I probably would of rewritten Season 3 to fit it in, as much as I enjoy it, there ar ea lot of things I would of done differently myself, namely with Anders and how the finale ends, along with having more appearances from Louise, The Great Raven & Wood Man, and having characters like Baba, Kaisa, Adeline & Gerda having a speaking line, as it would of also being interesting to see the history between witches & fairies too.
Season 2 Episode 3
why do so many people here hate me for selfshipping idk anymore
Yarn Hilda for now
I tried so make some realistic adult Hilda adventure art, but I’m just not satisfied with it. How do you guys like it?🥹
Hilda and the Mountain King’s Google user review is 51% while audience is 93%. I see this a lot with movies with good critics and audience scores but like why are they low now?
I am personally, would think it's a 8.5 to 9
……. I uploaded a post where I said for every extra episode you wanted from the series, you had to punch Baba once. (1 punch = 1 episode)
(original here: https://www.reddit.com/r/HildaTheSeries/comments/18nbx1n/lets_say_you_can_extend_season_3_but/?rdt=54662)
Now, one year after we said goodbye to Hilda, with only stickers (dang it) and one book, I’ll ask this community a variation of my questions.
If you could have one new episode of Hilda for each time you gave Baba (in human form) a hard slap, would you do it? If so, how many times? All up to you.
If you haven't seen, u/Blaithnne's OC, Lauren, is incorrectly being described by Gemini (Google's AI) as "Hilda's sister", along other people. To fix this problem and save her from being canonical, let's all bring feedback and dislike the description. SAVE LAUREN!
