Hello!
I think I might have lost my wallet somewhere near Windbag or Blackfoot on Friday night. It is a small, teal wallet. If anyone has seen it, I would be incredibly appreciative!
Anyone know what happened at Jesters tonight? There was a very large police presence at about midnight
Hi Helena,
It’s my first time visiting your city!
Can anyone recommend a place to eat?
Does anyone know if there are any watch parties on election night/places that will be playing results? I understand we won’t know the results that night, but would like to still watch. I lean liberal. Thanks!
The guy who cleaned my gutters has left town.
Does anyone have suggestions?
Was just curious if that chipotle has opened yet or not, got a gift card a little bit ago and want to use it. Tried checking online but the website says it doesn't even exist lol.
A thing I probably didn't invent but am pretending I did (as is the American way) and have called Masala Chili, because I use a lot of Indian spices. No-heat because my younger offspring would riot. Various beans, chickpeas, lentils. Organic, low-sodium beans, Red Bird Farms chicken. Not allergen-friendly probably.
Made too much as usual, DM if you want some. Good tonight, probably better tomorrow as is the way with chili.
Could someone please send me a picture of a map depicting the routing of route 91 through Helena.
Seen in my Helena neighborhood. The Unity Candidate!
I got a job opportunity in Helena and plan on moving in November. A lot of people have been telling me its a majority old crowd. Im just wondering if any of you guys were in this same situation and if you know any places / events in Helena to meet people?
Thanks
Dying for some great barbacoa tacos. Is there anyplace in Helena that makes them?
I’m moving from Helena to Missoula and would absolutely love one or two hands to help me move my stuff (a couch and some light furniture) into a truck. I was thinking sometime this weekend? I’ll compensate with like 50/e or food afterward! Send me a DM if interested.
Hello Helena! Sorry it's so last minute. My son has decided he is "too old to TorT with us this year" and would rather go with his friends. Ahhh lol. So he wants to go with his friends. We hardly get trick or treaters anyway (even though we leave full sized out every year!), so this will be my first year in an empty nest... Sad! I will have a very minimal amount of time with my kiddo before he heads off with his friends. What can my husband and I do that doesn't involve drinking or bars, without blowing out our pockets either? 🤔 Thank you!!
Anybody know the date campers have to be off the street for the season? I can't find this years site or PDF.
I apologize if this is not sllowed. If not allowed, please delete. I keep checking the voter information lookup (https://prodvoterportal.mt.gov/WhereToVote.aspx) but it never gives me information as to whether my ballot was received. It just says "active" under my registration status. Is this correct? I mailed my ballot back the day we received them. I just wanna make sure my vote counts. And if it's not received, can I go vote in person? Wtf
Anyone else growing concerned about the amount of people that ignore yellow lights and arrows?
I would like a tanned skunk hide. I think they are pretty.
Has anyone noticed the water smells and tastes funny lately? I'm not sure if it's just me but it seems to have a dirt like smell and flavor. Does anyone know what it would be?
hey guys, is there any clubs (hobbits, sports, etc) or church that young people go to in Helena? many thanks!
talking about like mid 20ish. but age is not too important. just that i am not talking about high school kids.
Hello everyone!
I was wondering what is everyone’s thoughts on another daycare in Helena closing.
I paid for the article. I will post it below:
Bloom Montessori School announced it would close its child care center in December in an email to parents Friday morning. “I am writing the most difficult email of the past nine years,” Bloom Owner/Directress Vanessa Nasset wrote in the announcement. “My heart literally feels as though it is breaking.” The Montana State Arsenal, Armory and Drill Hall building, often shortened to the Armory, was built in 1942. St. Peter's announced in June it was purchasing the Armory. The building currently hosts Bloom Montessori School. Bloom is licensed to serve 132 students aged 0-6 years old. It has eight classrooms, a large jump from its original 12-student class in 2015, and it is one of few child care providers in a town with a growing demand for child care. The closing follows allegations against a former employee, who allegedly stole Nasset’s identity and embezzled school funds into a personal account in May 2023. It took a dark toll on Nasset, she wrote. Beyond the stress, the lost money made it hard to sustain the school, especially with a lease ending in December. But she didn't want to leave the students and staff without options, she said. Nasset is working with former Bloom parent and current CEO of West Mont Laura Kneedler to help a new child care program open at 3430 Ptarmigan Lane. It's where Bloom planned to move after St. Peter’s Health purchased its current Pete's Place location at 1600 8th Ave. St. Peter’s Health will reportedly take over the armory at 1100 N. Last Chance Gulch, Bloom’s current location, to open another health care facility in May 2026. St. Peter’s and Bloom were working together to find a new location, St. Peter’s Health Chief Executive Officer Wade Johnson said in June. Pete’s Place at 3430 Ptarmigan Lane could fit a similar class size to Bloom. The new child care program may be through West Mont, Kneedler said in a follow-up email, sent minutes after Nasset's was sent. West Mont is a nonprofit that serves Montanans with disabilities. Before working at West Mont, Kneedler was in education for 20 years, she said. She’s been talking with the owner of 3430 Ptarmigan Lane about lease options, but won’t have solid details for another two or three weeks. If West Mont can open child care there, it plans to open in January and give priority to Bloom students, Kneedler said in her email. It will also try to keep as many of the Bloom staff as possible. But despite the familiar faces, the new child care program won’t have any legal or monetary connection to Bloom, Nasset said. “I want to be clear that I will be getting zero financial gain from any of this and am only making these efforts for the benefit of our Bloom community,” Nasset said. Bloom declined a request for comment Friday but said it would provide further details at a later date. In her email to parents, Nasset emphasized that she took the decision seriously and mourns the loss. “I am wrecked and have to walk away to save myself,” she said. “It is the hardest decision of my life.” Kneedler also declined to comment.
At the fairgrounds, in the middle of the playground (where there's a tank and the swings and slides) there's an island of trees. The lawn mowers only skirt this copse of wild trees and otherwise it's left to its own accord. Inside the fringes of this island there's a bunch of catnip growing wild. Watch out for the thistles entangled there, but if you have a cat, make a trip here before winter sets in to gather treats for your kitty.
I am currently on a 8GB family plan with Verizon and a customer of Spectrum Internet. Spectrum is offering what might be a good deal on a unlimited wireless family plan on Verizon's network.
I've heard from one they heard switching from straight Verizon to Spectrum Verizon, there has been a reduction in coverage areas.
Inquiring whether others may have made the switch from Verizon to Spectrum Verizon wireless plan and whether they experienced any change in service / call qualities, etc.
I'm looking to send a care package to my mom and I'd like to include some huckleberry jam or pumpkin butter or another locally made spread. I know I missed the farmers market yesterday but is there a shop in town that would stock this sort of thing? Thanks much!
What are some of the locally owned places to watch football that aren’t just a bar?
I’ve been to the windbag and know the hot springs shows the games but I wanted to see if there is anywhere else that has good food where I can watch some football today.
Dollar Tree is my favorite store. I didn't mind when they closed Family Dollar nearby; I was interested to see they opened a NEW Family Dollar on Lincold Road, but now Dollar Tree is just hit-and-miss with hours, the hours they are open are constantly declining, and even when they are supposed to be open, they often have a "SORRY!" sign in the door. What the heck??
