Hello handwriting experts and enthusiasts,
My handwriting looks significantly different day to day and even from paragraph to paragraph on the same page.
I'm able to write legibly when I focus on it, but when I relax and just take notes for myself, it seems like several people are taking turns writing with my hand. Density changes, letter shapes change, slant, no slant, nothing is stable.
What could be the cause?
We’re trying to make out the letters on this old photo album. We think it’s just initials or something? Looks like O, L, R, and then we get lost.
found this in my house today and i just thought i’d share
I'm in my early 30's and my partner feels my handwriting in cursive feels a bit immature. What do you think?
I practice my penmanship through different resources from time to time but I'd rather practice my hobby of writing with my Fountain Pens.
i saw somewhere online someone writing above the line instead of on it... trying it for myself, it looks to be cleaner than writing on the line itself! pretty cool
I feel like it’s my grip that is messing up my handwriting. From a simple Google search I have discovered that I uses a dynamic tripod grip.
Just been working on my cursive for the past week. I still have room for improvements in creativity, strokes, and properly dipping my pen to the ink. As you can see, there are a few inconsistencies with the ink flow and some lines feel stiffer than the others. I think this is something you just need to get used to for muscle memory.
Zebra G-nib and Sailor Kyokkou.
After a few sentences, it becomes an all-caps cursive.
(this is not a translation of my last post.)
Some people say my handwriting is difficult to read...
What do you think?
Zany fillies fill paddocks of zoned out zephyrs above fiery, fulsome fuselages that zoom over flurries of (furious) zemindars.
I usually write very fast. It stemed during my high school time when teachers would dictate answers very fast, so we had to catch up with their pace. Anyway, my handwriting continued to change over the years, and I think this one is where I am most comfortable with, in terms of writing as well as the aesthetics of it.
How do i improve my handwriting? some help would be appreciated as i am going to give my olevels in 2026. If you guys need any more information please let me know.
I have a neurological disorder that is finally improved enough I can now hold a pen again. I need to work on improved muscle memory and endurance. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.
He graced me with this heartfelt message gently reminding me that I will soon cross over to my 30’s lol
A sample of my handwriting with lyrics from “The Kite” by Luisa Marion and Noah Floersch. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.
i dont even know how to write cursive, but omfg i want to at least know how to write like this soooo badly. anyone know any sources to learn cursive like this?
someone from r/reddeadredemption said to ask here too so hopefully that person is right
Basically, I’m pretty satisfied with my dominant hand’s writing. So I set out to become ambidextrous. And so far, I’m happy with my left (non dominant) hand progress.
The only limitation is that my non-dominant hand can only write fairly pretty on whiteboard, NOT paper. My question is what are the benefits/uses of pretty whiteboard penmanship? I know good uses for pretty paper handwriting (Christmas/birthday/Valentine’s cards, etc) but with whiteboards I don’t see any everyday uses. I was hoping for my work on my left hand to have practical value, so if any of you have ideas, I’d be so happy!
(PS: if you are curious, I can show you a picture of my left hand’s script)
Saw an earlier post where someone referred to their own (aesthetic) handwriting as “creepy, crawly shapes.” So, largely in response to that, is the above. It’s my way of saying Voila! A true example of creepy, crawly shapes (it’s an excerpt from a song, btw).
