Mythic Unofficial Halo Tabletop Roleplaying Game
Mythic is a dice-based tabletop RPG set in the Halo universe. It strives to be an all inclusive experience, allowing players to play in nearly all contexts. From a mighty Hunter, to a Spartan-IV, to even a lowly Grunt.

Greetings! I asked the following, and was referred here to find answers...
My gaming group started a new 5e game based in the HALO universe. My gameplay revolves around approximately 2 total hours of playing with my son, and having to quit because it severely activated my carpal tunnel issues, so I know effectively nothing. I have a few questions:
My group salvaged and fixed up a "Zanar pattern light cruiser". I tried to find a schematic or floorplan, and there doesn't seem to be one. I was also told that this ship shouldn't get any closer to a planet than orbiting it, so I assume it relies on a smaller ship to fly supplies and people between the ship and a planets surface. We currently do not have one.
Hi, running a game of Halo Mythic and one of my players is a Lifeworker Huragok with Medical Insight. Based on the wording, I'm inclined to believe that the bonus to healing only applies to extended healing checks as it specifies days:
Medical Insight shows true ability in the Medical field. Those with Medical Insight double what they rolled on a Medical Test to heal wounds. For example, a Medical Test that increased healing by +3 wounds per day now heals +6 wounds per day.
In a similar vein, when he is doing First Aid and not an Extended Medical Test, he does need biofoam/sealant mesh right? Given he's only really able to do medical things (and call in airstrikes, since that isn't actually an attack roll) I wanna make sure I'm not kneecapping our favorite Get Well Soon balloon.
so me and my dm are trying to figgure out what the burst (X) would be if i where to put the Mv0104 on my sniper because in the benifits tab it says "Burst (X) cannot be larger than 5, or lower than 2. For example, Auto (7) creates Burst (3)." as the last sentence. this seems cut and dry to me that even thought the module says it only gives you a burst equal to your semi-auto fire rate, at the end of the description it says explicitly that burst must be at least 2.
so with the rifle having a semi-auto of 1 the MV0104 should make the burst of the rifle Burst 2 correct?
Edit: the whole discrition is this.
"The MV0004 Burst Fire is a modification that adds Burst Select Fire to a weapon that has Semi-Auto and/or Automatic, but not Burst. This new Select Fire option does not replace any current Firing Types a weapon has. If a weapon has Semi-Auto and Automatic, the Burst will be figured based on the Semi-Auto Rate of Fire, and not the Automatic Rate of Fire. For weapons with Semi-Auto, Burst (X) will be the same as Semi-Auto (X). For Automatics that do not have a Semi-Auto Firing Type, Burst (X) is Auto (X) halved and reduced by 1. Burst (X) cannot be larger than 5, or lower than 2. For example, Auto (7) creates Burst (3)."
I’m a veteran DM in D&D, and while that’s the system I’m most familiar with, I am also familiar with systems like Call of Cthulhu, WH40K rogue trader, and Pathfinder. My question is how difficult would it be for a group most familiar with D&D, both the DM and players, to pick up the mechanics and system of Halo Mythic? And could it realistically be done within one day, or maybe one or two weeks? I would like to run Halo Mythic for a small group of friends, and I would like to know how much both I and my friends need to learn before we can start playing through a more long-running campaign
Tl;dr - how long/difficult would it be for a DM familiar with tabletops like D&D to learn and then teach players the Halo Mythic system to play a campaign?
I've started a Covenant campaign with my friends recently and we've been wondering how is a character supposed to become an arbiter since there is no rank or armor for it. Is it supposed to be a narrative tool instead of a full player's character or am I missing something?
So I see there is ammo and buying/finding magazines as a mechanic. But how is ammunition spent during combat? Cause I see how combat with firearms works as rolls but I don't see anywhere in the rules that lists how ammo is spent based on those rolls. Like, for automatic with a full action. Does that spend a whole mag? How is it determined?
Forgive me if they’re already in, but given Infinite’s lore updates recently made them canonical actors in the setting, I felt it prudent to ask, especially considering I plan on running my own game soon(-ish…). They seem pretty neat!
So is this still a thing people can join, everything i am finding is out of date.
Hi!
Me and a couple of friends started playing Halo: Mythic and found a couple questions we couldn't find an answer to -
Thanks for the help!
Hey, just curious what the general level of support this game has on roll20?
As in compendium stuff, light auto-calculation for crunchier elements, etc.
Any idea when the forge version is coming out? There's an existing unofficial version on Forge already, but it seems to be really outdated. I know the update post said Forge content is coming 'soon', but is there any kind of ballpark estimate for that? If it's in the next couple of weeks then my friends and I could just wait, but if it's going to be months or something then I'd like to know so we can just start a game with the outdated version. Better than nothing, right?
I want to make a campaign on Harvest, does anyone have a world map?
so when weapon has RELOAD of 4. I'm reading that as it take 4 rounds to reload your gun is that corrected?
