Newbie I think simple question

Hi all.

I have a latex mask that I want to adhere a quarter of a railroad spike to it. I have the mold (used artists clay) of the spike. Few questions:

What's the best material to cast? what would I use to adhere to the latex mask? I was just going to use kangaroo brand latex poured into the mold, but wonder if there are better options out there... would have to be somewhat lightweight. I was going to use the latex to adhere it to the mask after it dried. Something better for adhesion?

Assume I need a release agent for the mold. Have made resin props and assume can use the same release spray?

Tia for your help.

Material sourcing question

This is for those who've built the Pepper's Ghost or the Endless (infinity) Tunnel props. Where did you get your plexiglass from and how much did it cost?

The frame I'm using has a backing board that measures 26x38, but I can't find that on Amazon.

Ideas using coatrack for body

Hey I have been wanting to get into DIY halloween yard props and also costumes. I've seen a few "wicked makers" videos on youtube for inspiration. But I've never been much of a DIY person so this is brand-new for me.

I have a wooden coatrack I picked up from someone's curb. I was thinking of adding some body to it and making some sort of character. Any suggestions? Any DIY/craft tips are also appreciated. Also I am wondering about doing some sort of swamp theme so anything related to that theme might be neat.

Thank you all!

Where did this audio come from?

I would like to know where the audio came from as it's pretty dark.

After months of meticulous work, I proudly present the Overlook Hotel Diorama. Every detail has been carefully crafted to capture the eerie beauty of this iconic location. What do you think? Does it evoke the same spooky atmosphere of the original?

Recommendations for motors with more torque than a wiper motors?

I built something last year that the wiper motor I got from fright props just barely was able to run, and I ended up killing three wiper motors in a month. I’m wondering if anyone knows a good alternative with a little more torque? Don’t really need it to move fast, just need a motor with a little more torque behind it

I had an idea...

For those who have a creepy doll collection scene, what if you were to motorize the heads to turn towards the direction of your guests? Have them triggered by a motion sensor hidden near the entrance of the scene. I would suggest gearing down the motors so they turn their heads all nice and slow to complete the utterly eerie effect.

For the advanced haunter, rig up some sort of arduino controller to include an audio file of a handful of screechy 'baby doll voices' saying something like, "Mama has come to play with us. We like to play with you."

Latex Skeleton Prop I.D?

Hey guys, first post here but I’m hoping maybe someone here can help me on my search. For quite some time now i have been trying to ID a latex prop my family used to have.

It was a small (maybe 12 inches tall at most) latex skeleton and he was pose able with wire inside the arms and legs. He was evil looking, his eye holes were furrowed, he did not have actual eye balls just the sunken in part. His mouth was also open as if he was screaming.

My best guess on a time line for this guy would be that he was purchased from 2003 - 2007. I am also almost positive he would have been purchased at spirit halloween, that’s the only halloween store my dad always took us to.

I’ve looked into all of the main latex prop makers spirit used during that time frame, I cannot find this prop anywhere online even just a picture to see him again. I have also searched thru all our family photos to see if he was ever shot and no luck. Any help with this would be absolutely amazing!!
