I’ve been playing Hades on my phone recently and completed around 30 runs, all of a sudden I’m unable to open the game. When I launch the app it takes me to the Netflix screen where I press play game then I get a black screen. I’ve tried redownloading the game twice and it’s fixed the issue temporarily, however after not opening it in a while it goes back to black screen.
Any ideas what could be causing this or possible solutions? Has anyone dealt with this before?
Lithium battery ions are not good for dipping in pools of sand rn?!
I was just doing some material farms when I got here. It’s cut off but it’s Poseidon attack, and Artemis special. I had one death defiance and skelly’s tooth left and they only got used on the second phase.
Hera special+Hephaestus attack+static shock+spirit surge. No braincells required
Marking as spoiler for anyone who hasn't played just in case!
I wanted to take a moment to simply appreciate all of the detail that's gone into the sound design in this game. From the way that Scylla and the band's instruments and voices will continue playing/singing based on who's still in play, to the way that only the bass is playing in the pause screen and before/after encounters until you unpause or resume the fights, and the music swells back in seamlessly.
I also love the remixed versions of the original songs, and for the last surface area, how the instruments seem to match up with the original Hades instruments (lots of flutes, and added military brass for that war effect). I can't help but gush about how cool it all is, I'm genuinely just in awe of how they've made the game so sound and music-forward without detracting from any of the other elements. It just works together so perfectly.
In general, I like the magick boons and feel like they do a good job matching the theme and mechanics of their respective gods. That said, I do not think Hera's Born Gain or Hephaestus's Fixed Gain do that. And I find myself only ever taking them as a last resort.
To start Hera's Born Gain fully refills your magick when you run out at the cost of priming some. The higher the rarity and level the less will be primed each time. Hera's other boons though focus on either hitching enemies together or buffing other boons which ties into her being the patron of marriage and queen of the Olympians.
So my suggested fix would be to tie the magick regen into the number of boons you have. It could be the total number of boons or number of non-Hera boons so for example, for every qualifying boon you have, you get a +1/2/3/4 magick per second. Or to thematically match it to how her husband's boon works, where you regain a large amount of magick all at once, you could increase the amount per boon but set it to a timer and the rank/level decreases the time between bursts of magick. I feel like either of these examples would better match her theme of being the Queen of the others.
Next is Hephaestus's Fixed Gain which provides a slight damage resistance and regens a large amount of magick every time you take damage. His other boons though mostly focus on doing large bursts of damage or providing armor tying into him being the forge god hitting hard with his hammer or producing armor. And while there is a little tie in between having armor to protect yourself from damage and gaining magick from damage, none of his other boons benefit from taking damage.
So my suggested fix would be to recover a large amount of magick after inflicting a large amounts of damage. For example it could be recover 20/40/60/80 magick per 1000 damage inflicted on enemies with levels increasing the amount of magick recovered or recover all magick per 2500/2000/1500/1000 damage inflicted with levels decreasing the amount of damage needed to be done. Both of these examples would synergize well with his offensive boons but would still be usable if you only ran his magick boon along with other Olympian boons.
Thank you for anyone that read all of this. Their boons for some reason have been bugging me more than any others and would love to hear anyone else thoughts on this.
HELLOOOOO IM BACK WITH MORE EPIC ART I completely forgot about my wisdom saga sketched but I thankfully got something out early this time 😭🫶‼️
BRO DIDNT LET POSEIDON BREATHEEEE
How do you get him to actually join you? I’ve seen him many times and can’t get him to become a familiar.
I've noticed that the "The Huntress" card grants you a bonus for being under max mana, and while I do occasionally throw in some Omega moves every now and then, most of my runs outside of when using the Torches have me at high to max mana most of the time. If I were to pick a blessing that primed some of my mana, would it enable that boost even if I'm not using my mana? (Sorry if the wording is poor)
Just had a thought about Helios and Eos potentially being alternative Titans to chose from in the hex mechanic. It makes sense if we look at the mythology and an alternative hex progression would make for an interesting gameplay mechanic. What do you think?
I know I know, lore wise it makes sense that the surface is that hard, but honestly that's a bit too much, especially at higher fear. I've been trying to clear 32 fear surface for a couple of days now, I've tried different strategies but it's all worthless. I know that 32 fear is not something everyone can do, but I mean, I've cleared hades 1 at 32 fear and the underworld in hades 2 at 32 fear, I should be able to complete the surface as well. And yet I struggle even at 16 fear. The thing is that it's just too much. Too many enemies, too much damage, too much terrain damage, too much speed. Every enemy in the surface hit like a truck and has insane attacks range and absurd ammounts of health. Every room feels like a boss room.
It was fine before the update, cause even if the enemies were faster and stronger and tankier, you just needed to clear 2 areas and beat 2 bosses, but now there's a 3rd area and an unreasonably strong boss to beat too, and the difficulty needs to be adjusted.
Hope I'm not the one that feels this way
Fun time!!
Happy Sunday all!
✌️💜
which vow cause this? shrieks and ball-thrower worms in first zone stunlock me like crazy. i assume its a vow i activated cause thia bcs it never happened before 32 vow.
In Hades 1. Zag respawn from the river of blood (Styx?) into the House and so is any other people. Even Hades himself spawns out of there when Zag kills him. If Mel reached 0 HP she just returns to the crossroads. But I'm not sure she really dies, or does she? What about other people/gods? Say when you murder Eris, where will she spawns? Chronos'?
Just a random thought pops out at 2AM.
While many wanted to see Zagreus as an Alternate character, what if it was Nemesis instead?
Once you defeat Chronos, free the fates, and save the House of Hades, perhaps the Infernal Arms will become available to you, playing as Nemesis.
Given Nemesis does not possess magick-based attacks, there will be an adjustment to how she uses the magick bar.
In lieu of Omega Attacks/Specials, the damage of the original Infernal Arms is scaled up, based on an agreed size/strength differential between Zag and Nem. I propose a 15-25% flat damage increase (using the Circe Spell logic). Instead of a cast, Nem will have Topple. Regular Topple will knock over foes in a cast-sized radius. Omega Topple is a jump + drop attack where she can topple and crush foes as well. This Omega Topple will use 50 Magick and can be aimed. The topple effect will last as long as Cast does so it can apply the cast boons more seamlessly. The visual effect of Topple will be ripples of force emanating underfoot. Nem will have the same Dash/Sprint as Mel.
For the boons that increase the damage or add additional damage elements to Omega attacks/specials, they will all apply to the Omega Topple.
Daedalus hammers from the first game can be re-used as well as the original aspects. Though, given Athena has the Aspect of Zeus Shield and Eris has the Aspect of Eris Gun, there may need to be new aspects or adaptations. Given most digital art is layered, perhaps when using the shield, it is not present in Athena's Character picture. For Eris, perhaps when Nem has the aspect Equipped, she can Wield a different aspect and express disdain for taking her gun.
I think this would be a fun way to implement playable Nemesis and the Infernal Arms in our beloved Sequel. What do we think? Is this another scenario where Supergiant will essentially say "If you loved Hades 1 so much just play that" or would this be a good addition to the game? I have considered this would require a notable amount of dialogue and visual changes, but would it be worth it?
Shouldn't that be impossible?
Here are some things I'm hoping for in the game upon full release:
1. Cursor shown when entering a room: So often I have no idea where my cursor is at the start of a room or especially a boss fight. If you could see where the cursor is before the fight starts rather than the second the fight starts, it gives you those precious extra moments to make sure you can drop a cast on a boss immediately.
2. Melinoe dresses: The different dresses from Arachne would be really cool if you could unlock those colours as defaults for Melinoe. Maybe by beating Chronos with the dress still on?
3. A fourth aspect for each weapon: I feel like Supergiant will probably do this since Hades 1 had three extra aspects on top of the base one, but some weapons feel like they could really benefit from another option. For example, I really love the no mana, non-omega builds, and staff doesn't have anything that works with this option so far.
4. Less randomness for hammers: With all the preparation we can do for a run (picking aspects, choosing arcana, starting keepsakes), it's often very clear which route we want to take with a weapon. It feels terrible being offered only specials when you're building for attack or vice versa. I'd love it if either you could reroll hammers OR there was always a guarantee of one attack and one special hammer in each selection. You shouldn't be able to just pick the ones you want each time, but to at least have some choices in the category of your interest would be nice.
5. Guaranteed effect from keepsake: When you choose a starting keepsake, it feels great that you're always guaranteed that god's boon to start. However, in later floors, I've chosen a keepsake for a god and never once seen that god show up. It feels terrible when that happens. I would love it if that god was the first one you see a boon from so that you at least have the option of seeing it once. Same thing with Athena, as I've gone through a whole floor with never benefitting from her effect (and no, I didn't have Toula or any DD's).
What are some things you'd like to see from the full release?
i want all your non-utility based hot takes!!
for example, i NEVER use the bow, but when i do, i always try to get an aphrodite attack boon bc i love how the arrow has a little heart on the end of it when it fires hehe. similarly, i love the chaos shield with a dionysus attack boon bc the double purple when you power shot is so pretty.🕺
This is just a data point for anyone trying to get the Slicer perk for the Bared Fangs minor prophecy. I have had the Vow of Fangs always on since night 19 (doubled Vow of Fangs on since about night 30), and **finally** got Slicer on night 91. It was on a basic enemy in Erebus of all places.
So it took over 70 nights of constantly having Vow of Fangs on, in addition to always taking the mini armored boss tombstones or whatever they are, to finally have Slicer come up.
Slicer is an extremely rare enemy perk, but keep playing and eventually you'll get it!
Just some observations I’ve made:
You starting to follow me?
I think we’re gonna put Grandpa to bed and then have our future runs (or at the very least his boss fight) consist of Mel invading his dreams to beat him up some more.
So, Chronos. Anyone who got to him before the Olympic Update knows that he used to unpause your game, an unadulterated power move that I absolutely love & deliberately never turned off with the incantation that was there prior because I simply loved annoying him with my continued pause buffering.
However when I went to go fight time grandpa down in hell in the new update, even though I'd never done the incantation to keep him from unpausing my game, it seems he just....doesn't now? I don't know if this was part of a previous update, and yeah, sure it's still fun to keep annoying him with manual pause buffering, but idk, I really miss the pausing shenanigans, felt like he was fighting me the player which, for me at least, feels almost too fitting. Would love to see those returned, whether through extremer measures or just a flat patch
I’ve been progressing the game myself without guides or a general sense really but now that I’ve reached a certain point in the game I’d like to ask for some help.
I have completed 3 or 4 runs I think so far. My first run was spear 24 mins, my fastest so far is shield 20 mins. I’ve unlocked the heat to level 2 with Aegis, and I spoke with Achilles to get the hidden aspect for the spear that has life steal. My question basically is what is my new goal? I obviously want to get all the aspects now, and unlock the last keep sake.
I plan on trying to complete everything the game has too offer
So basically I need to
• progress the mothers quest •find the final locked keepsake im missing •unlock all weapon aspects •mirror fully unlocked already just need to find my optimal set up •progress NPC bond to max.
Is there anything else I’m missing or should focus on next? Thank you in advance
I started this game 2 or 3 days ago so I am very new. I have defeated Meg but still I have not seen Thanatos. I have died A LOT and have visited the hall where Achilles is and not once has he ever been there. We are talking maybe 50 times or something and I have scoured every corner. Is he perhaps rather difficult to see? In a corner or very close to a wall?
