Nothing will hit me! Everything will bounce off! AHHH!! 🗣️
Bought the game a few days ago and I'm trying to get a clear with each weapon I currently only cleared it with the shield and the fists Right now I'm trying to clear with the spear but it seems much harder than with the other weapons, the damage seems really lacking and I don't really like using the spin attack (just been doing runs with special) I've bought the Achilles spear but wasn't really my style so I've been using Zag's spear Any build any of you guys can recommend (keepsakes hammers and boons I should aim to get in the run?) Thank you :)
So due to the keepsake that upgrades the level of boons every so often as well as the absolute legend that is Eurydice, I have +8 lightning bounces from Storm Lightning. Can a single lightning bolt bounce off of one enemy and back into an enemy it's already hit? So if three enemies are on screen, and I stab enemy 1 with Varatha, the lightning will bounce to enemy 2, then enemy 3, can the lightning then bounce back to enemy 1 and 2? Or does it just expire if every viable target has been struck once?
I just kinda kept sprinting towards grandfather, and he couldn’t do a damn thing about it 😭
I tend to play very tanky, no reason to avoid damage when there are a thousand ways to heal in this game. So when the game gave me the option to become a living thunderbolt, I was loving that shit!
So should it be Zagreus and Zee-us? Or Zeus and Zagroos? TIA
Edit: it’s a joke, friends
Honest to Gods, does anyone know how to make an effective build for Guan Yu? The spears my favourite but Guan Yu ruins it and I can’t seem to make an effective build for it. Help me Reddit.
Had a run where I accidentally stumbled into an interesting combo, and was curious if others have had similar experiences. By the end of Elysium, I had three gods' boons - Dionysus, Aphrodite, and Zeus - and expected to get one random god to show up in Styx, as usually happens. What actually happened, though, was that Charon was selling four more gods' boons - Athena, Hermes, Ares, and Demeter. So after I bought all of them (because what else was I going to do) I ended up with 7.
Incidentally, Poseidon was the one that showed up to help Theseus in the Elysium fight. Maybe he just really hated Zagreus this run?
Screenshot below for proof (unfortunately I died to Hades)
Given that:
Assume that I’ve got a fully upgraded Achilles spear with Deadly Strike and Thunder Dash, with no other boons, upgrades, or buffs.
How is the damage of a dash attack with this setup calculated?
Does a non-rush, non-critical dash attack do 30 (20 + 10) damage, 24 (20 * 120%), 36 ([20 + 10] * 120%), or 34 ([20 * 120%] + 10)?
Does a rush and critical dash attack do 135 (30 * 150% * 300%), 108 (24 * 150% * 300%), 162 (36 * 150% * 300%), or 153 (34 * 150% * 300%)?
In other words:
Do dash attacks get damage buffs from strike boons, dash boons, or both?
If both, then which damage buffs improve with rush and critical hits: strike buffs, dash buffs, or both?
Do flat damage bonuses get applied before or after percentage bonuses?
Hi
So I began grinding the keepsakes and trying to get all the bond icon badges. But I'm having trouble with Dusa. I have complete her hearts (6 nectar + 10 ambrosia), completed the «A place of Revelry» quest, got her battle compagnion and finished the sub-plot about Nyx firing her from her job and Dusa coming back. When there was the option of letting her keep or take the ambrosia, i let her keep it (but im not 100% on that)
I keep talking to Dusa but her conversation doesnt seem to go toward romance/friendship.
Did i miss something?
Thank you in advance
The University of Maryland's Gamer Symphony Orchestra had their winter concert today. On the program, "Good Riddance". Enjoy!
Was replaying and I just got over 50 clears in a row, including with Hades at max punishment. I still beat him and I’m like damn… I’d feel so awful and ashamed if I were him, considering I couldn’t even beat my son when I go all out. Obviously just a video game but like DAMN Zagreus maybe let him have a W? Like bro is constantly stressed from managing the underworld and being relegated to a lower status by his bros, and on top of that he gets utterly humiliated by his child?? Talk about emasculating… is this just me??
My friend’s laptop is a little subpar, and we found a… glitch.
!Smoldering air - heck yeah. Managed to also snag a rare god gauge autofill from Hermes. From there on, it was smooth sailing all the way with Lucifer's rail and Zeus on special, triple bombs that slow down and do 30% extra damage. With the gauge filling up pretty quickly, you zap foes with charm and then bomb them.!<
!I'm sure most of you already know of it, but it just worked out so well for me. I'm only at heat 17 or 18, have started to struggle somewhat. Also I'm the type of person who really enjoys breaking games with OP builds and/or glass cannons whenever possible. Hades however proves very hard to actually break for me (which feels like a testament to the design, for sure).!<
!So anyway, if you haven't tried it yet, well recommended =)!<
I just beat the game today using it. All my previous tries were with Varatha, Stygius and Coronacht and I was doing good with them. I avoided the shield as I thought it wouldn't be good for my playstyle. But today I tried it and I beat the game with much more ease than usual. Is it too meta or did I just have a good run
I got this game as a Christmas gift this year and it’s my first rogue-lite game. The isometric view is a little disorienting for me, but I’m sticking around for the beautiful art and lore and the fun gameplay in general. There’s so much to discover every run. I’m on my 25th escape attempt and I’ve gotten to Styx twice and got my ass handed to me by Hades. Is my progress too slow? I’m using the Shield with Aspect of Zeus and the Claws with Aspect of Talos mainly. Any tips to finally beat Hades?
Hello, i´m on my first blind playthrough of the game and i have a question: Ever since i >!fought Hades for the first time (lost of course)!< i will always encounter >!Demeter!< first, even though i have the Athena Keepsake equipped. Any help on how to not get >!Demeter!< anymore?
The situationship is back 🗣️🗣️
My beloved has returned 🫶
So I’m at the surface and it’s just before you enter the city and Toula is just kinda laying there with these lines around her. I can sprint and she’ll get up and move but I can’t interact with her outside that. Am I supposed to do something? Or does this just mean she’ll be at the docks later?
Yay! Apparently everyone has moved on to the next game. Sword with pommed up Demeter aoe
I have a big problem with this sub!!!!!
No hades 1 flair? And flair is required?
I’m about to cuss you all out and ask to be banned! I just made my first. Successful run in the first game and this sub rules are fighting me every step to post!!!!!!!!!!!!
After messing around with prophecies and grinding for other stuff I sat down to try an actual escape attempt, feeling really good about this being my first success
to do that can be started relatively early on in a playthrough
Sorry if this is low effort, but I played tons of Hades II when it dropped on Steam in the middle of last year (about like 40 hours give or take) but I haven't played it since June. Is it worth hopping back in on a brand new save, or should I just pick up from where I left off? I haven't been following the updates since then so I have no idea what has changed. I'm wondering if I should save myself for a little bit longer or just hop back in. Thanks
Like the kind we have in Diablo and in many other arpg games? I think this game is not about how quick or precise we smash the attack buttons but rather more on narrative and upgrades so I am thinking if there is any mod or setting I can change it to play as similar way to Diablo?
Like can I romance Meg and go through that story line then romance Thanatos and go through that story line?
