So I didn't get chance to play the TT myself, but noticed on the livestream there is a set of stairs by the exit of the main camp that lead upwards that seemed locked, what do people think this is?
Is there potentially going to be two different routes with different bosses, similar to going through different areas in dead cells?
So, recently my game crashed, and ever since then, the cursor has been visible while in combat, I've become used to playing without it and seeing it now is very distracting. Is there any way to turn it off?
I am playing with keyboard + mouse on the steam version, if that helps.
I feel like I’m moving in reverse with the sword any suggestions?
After playing the technical test 1 thing has been stuck in my head- why was Hypnos asleep?
Its implied that hes been sleeping ever since Melinoe was basically born, and after doing some research i think we might be going to the Land of Dreams. In the mythology its a location inside the underworld and is supposedly close to Oceanus, the world encompassing river that could be the water area we see in the trailers.
I suspect that theres a good chance that Hypnos' storyline might involve us going to the land of dreams and maybe meeting characters like Morpheus.
Is this just a cracktheory? I think the Land of Dreams would be perfect for Hades 2 since it would lend extremely well to interesting enemy designs as Oneiros (shapeshifting dream creatures) live there.
she is my wife
I can generally make it up to Elysium pretty regularly now, barring bad runs with the Furies and that damn Hydra, but I'll maybe make it to Theseus and Astarion maybe 1/5 runs, and only make it through about half of their health if I do. Do I just need to git gud (as I'm not great at console-style gaming), get more hours in the game, or is there anything specific I should practice with?
I'm generally pretty good with Varatha and the sword, especially when I've got some Aphrodite and Dionysus boons going with Athena's dash. I'm trying to branch out from Athena's trinket and that trinket that gives you an extra life, though.
No death defiance left and 1 hp. Was almost in tears
Im new and find myself just forcing sea storm or heart rend most times , anyone wanna share some fun builds to try? :D Doesn’t have to be op, just fun
I've looked around for the answer and I didn't find one.
If you have Aspect of Zagreus Bow and an Artemis attack boon does the crit chance use the largest crit chance value, is it additive, or does it just stick with the Zagreus bow crit chance?
I got into the playtesting on Friday but I can't find the game in my library? Did I miss the window :,D? Anyone able to help me out haha
I’ve been handing out nectar like crazy and I still don’t know how to advance in my friendships… can someone give me a sense of how long it’s gonna take without giving spoilers?
So I recently have been playing a lot of hades one and tried to do a fresh file run for the first time after playing tech test for the first time, I’m really curious what everyone else thinks but personally so far I think Hades II is a lot easier than Hades one
Never realised it would be so busted together ... got fully loaded too lol
I’m having a blast!
My first rogue-like / lite too
I have a question tho, how long do I have these boons? Until I die?
The rescue system is basically what I theoretically call the progress system where Melinoe rescues different people from Chronos. It has been a thing since before the technical release when I was uncertain if any one else had been captured which has been pretty much confirmed and properly explained in the technical release.
So if that's so then the list consists of:
(Maybe other chthonic gods that's alluded by Nyx to be in he underworld?)
(If it includes shades from the first game that can't be summoned thanks to the cauldron like the Wretched Broker which is kinda maybe probably alluded with Skelly being the only notable returning shade)
(Plus maybe other famous shades?)
What do you think? Do you agree or think different?
But the game is so much more! I really love it! Despite the good reviews I was expecting a fluff adventure. Still not done yet.
Such dimensional gameplay, and like many games called the best of all time, it makes the player feel involved and like they matter. (Chrono Trigger comes to mind)
What were your bias before heading into this game?
Why did Supergiant Games say it would close on Monday and they would launch early access right after?
Hades has to be one of those one-of-a-kind titles that get even someone who doesn’t know what roguelites are to try it out. First, the trappings of Greek mythology with some obscure myth figures — duh, the main Zagreus being a prime example (and Melinoe in the sequel. Then, the lovable spin on the character interactions and how the meta-story plays out, and of course the main course, the gameplay with the almost Sekiro-like twist on “dying” not being the end of your run. Just fist so well into the roguelite format.
Buuut enough of my just hyping about Hades on a Hades sub, everyone here loves it for same or different reasons. For me, it also introduced me to a whole new wondrous genre which is — if I may say so — in such a great place in 2024. So many great roguelites and actually just enough to time to play em all because how generous they are with my time (1 run gives me as much dopamine as 10!)
So, yeah, I’m hyped! But in the meanwhile, I also began feasting on some other exceptional games which again, I prolly have Hades to thank for being interested in them at all. First off (and ffs I hate lists but it’s just easier)
So, brethren and sistren and everything in between and besides — what games are y’all poisoning yourselves with until Hades 2 comes around in all its glory? Imma probably replay the first on release tbh so I’m in for a double whammy when the sequel comes :’)
