looking for info on these yagis and some advice on good use cases

I have had these Yagi antennas lying around for some time. I bought them for a fairly cheap price online, but there wasn't much information available regarding their specifications. I used them with my ALFA AC1900 WiFi Adapter to achieve better directional long-range performance. This was back when I was exploring access point scanning, etc.

Recently, I have been researching lower radio frequency signals like 315 MHz and 433 MHz. Given this new area of interest, I am curious about what these antennas could potentially be used for, besides 2.4 GHz applications. If you have any experience or a better understanding of antennas, I would greatly appreciate your insights.

Thank you in advance.

Problem whith my Portapack?

Hi all, so I recently got a HackRF, played with it for a few days before I bought the portapack, I fitted all together and got it working, but after about 20 minutes, it shut off, 🤔 so I assume it's just ran out of power? I've plugged it into a beefy USB wall charger to try and give it a good charge, but even after an hour, it's not turning on, it just sort of makes a clicking noise 3 times and shuts off, 🤷.. I'm worried I've somehow damaged it 🧐..any thoughts appreciated 👍

Please help

I have been hacked insta

Hello!

I recently had my Instagram hacked and I'm worried. I have tried the new Instagram option of taking a selfie so they can verify that it is you and I have managed to log in but now the hacker has changed the email and I cannot access it. The number gives me an error, I don't get the messages and I don't know what to do. To the response that in the email where they notify you that you have changed the email, when you click secure that tells you that it was not you, the page gives an error, it does not work for me. I don't know what other ways I can access it, they have changed the username, I have the number that is set and an email, which is how it can enter, I took a screenshot and I don't know what else to do. I have also written to Instagram so they can solve it for me but I know it will take a while. Please, if anyone knows how to recover it and can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. #insta#hack#help

How to make reception on portapack not ass?

So I keep getting random blips at different frequencies on the waterfall especially on SDR# and HF reception is basically non-existent. Even with a proper antenna etc. maybe it's just how the hackRF is? I'm not sure. I am definitely new to portapack and hackrfs in general and only have used rtl-sdr dongles

Hackrf not working

I bought a portapack + hackrf and it came with mayhem v 1.4.7 or something like that and I've never been able to get into hackrf because after it prompts to select yes or no, and I select yes, it goes black and just stays black. Ive got back and forth with this issue and tryna fix it and all I got back was reflash the firmware but I can't do that because hackrf won't work. I'm hoping somewhere here knows exactly what's going on

[Help!] Smart Bed RF Signal

Hi and thanks for reading this:

I’m interested in learning how to 'hack' RF. I’ve long been a SmartHome enthusiast and have the majority of my home automated (blinds, lights, vacuum, etc.). Now, I’m interested in hacking my CHA SERLIN bed’s 2.4ghz RF Controller remote to control my bed from my "Go Smart" app on my phone.

I have no experience using an Arduino, but I do own one (with its base accessories relatively missing). I would prefer to work through my Pi.

I’m interested in somehow capturing, reading, and demodulating my remote’s command. Injecting them into some software, and transmitting them from my Raspberry Pi using an RF Transceiver to control the bed. I’d like to solely dedicate the wifi enabled controller to controlling my bed, and hide it in my desk, plugged into the wall.

I’ve never even attempted something like this before, but figure this could be a fun (and seemingly easy / low-stakes) place to start. It seems like my idea is feasible too! Unless I’m missing something! Would a HackRF work better?

So far here’s what I’ve gathered:

- My Bed's remote control

- A nRF24LU1 2.4GHz 1mW USB Wireless Data Transceiver Module (doesn’t appear to have an antenna)

- A Raspberry Pi Zero 2

- An Arduino UNO

A few things I noticed:

I’ve noticed that many RF transceivers are not equipped to handle 2.4GHz. Google Gemini mentions the need for an SDR of some sort to capture and demodulate the remote’s RF? Perhaps even using a downconverter of some sort? I wouldn’t know how to use this but not sure if it’s applicable here.

I’m really looking for the most plug and play option available (perhaps HackRF)–– but also open to learning something new! If that’s the case, I want to make sure I’m buying the right things for the project.

Coding will be a challenge for me, but I have a lot of software engineer friends who may be able to help!

Looking for any advice, points in the right direction, links, youtube videos, resources etc!

Thanks :)

Where is the best place to buy and already assembled bundle?

I'm looking for a pre-assembled unit, can be generic if it has same functionality, with the best portapack, and full spectrum antennas, Mayhem, etc. fully updated, most recent, perferably Windows compatible. for under $1000. Whichever is easiest for beginners with intermediate technical and software knowledge. I have a laptop that I can load Linux on if the learning curve is not too steep, but would prefer Windows.

I want this to be a portable unit, grab out of the box and go. Is it true that the Opera Cake sits outside the unit, or are there portapacks that can encase both the HackRF One along side the OperaCake to make a complete portable unit?

Thx

SD card in device and read, but no filesystem (64GB exFAT) pls help

As the title explains - i inserted an sd card i used from my flipper zero, it worked and didn't show any notices. Back then the fw on the newly bough portapact was 1.7.x something. So i flashed the fw to the latest 2.0.2 mayhem, formated the SD to an exFAT (that was the only FAT option), added the mayhem release zip (i unziped it and added all the folders within the zip to the SD directory as per instructions) and it says no apps in the directory.

Now i even formated with the regular (not the quick format) that took quite long and still nothing ;/

Pls help, what to do? I

EDIT: Fixed it with a 3rd party formater https://github.com/inconsistent-dg/guiformat/releases/tag/v1.0.1.0

The new HackRF H4M Portapack has I2C GPIO Pins. What kind of addon boards are you looking forward to?

I know I am certainly looking forward to some of the awesome ideas for addon boards that people will come up with to expand the HackRF's capabilities. What are you looking forward to seeing?

Need recommendations. HackRF R9 H2M or R10 H4M

Could someone with experience with both give me a quick pros and cons list of the two. The hackfr r9 h2m running mayhem 2.0.0 and the R10 h4m running the latest 2.0.2. I plan on learning and getting on my feet with SDR. I plan on doing a quite a bit of research before hand on how to properly operate the hackrf. Im sort of set on getting the R9 h2m, and would like to hear everyone’s opinion on the two.

Hackrf blown amp question

Please forgive my ignorance. I'm new to this

With regards to the issue of blown amps. Does this only affect the actual hackrf itself or is it related to the portapack as well? I've purchased what I have been told is a Clifford heath version hackrf and will get a portapack once I've conformed it's legit

Does this mean that for the most part I won't need to worry as much about the blown amps or can the portapack itself suffer from this issue

I'm almost certain the portapack won't be an issue but just wanted to confirm

Thanks!

How do I check if a board is Clifford Heath version?

I've bought what I believe is a Clifford Heath version of the hackrf. When it arrives, what can I do to confirm this is the case so that I can return it quickly if it turns out to not be the correct version?

Thanks!

GNURadio and hackRF jamming program for drones

Hello everyone! I have a project for my bachelor degree where I have to jam a drone that fly over an unauthorized place. I have to use GNU and hackRF to jam it and stop working. The drone that I'm using is a cheap one, that costs less than 30 euro. I will be in a classroom and demonstrate it in front of the commission. The thing is that, the drone operates at 2.4ghz and when I want to activate it, I will send an white noise signal for let's say 5Ghz and it will stop working because of jamming, making it lose contact to my remote and this is how I will demonstrate it works. The problem is that when i tried to simulate it with QT gui sink because my hackRF hardware hasn't arrived yet but it just stays blocked at 2.4ghz and I don't know if it's normal and all i have to do is just move the bar to send 5ghz and jam the signal so the drone loses contact to the remote, or all i need is to run the program and it will jam everyting on 2.4ghz band. Do i need to add more blocks, to configure them different? Can sb help
