I see this comment everywhere and I'm so confused by it because Romione fics are consistently top tier?? They're funny and full of heart and growth. What are people seeing that I'm not??

It was a fanfiction where Bellatrix makes Ron be on the same room on where she was torturing Hermione, Bellatrix then uses Ron and make him do vile things to Hermione. This traumatizes Hermione and leaves to the USA, specifically, New York, she finds an apartment and obliviates herself, after that, everything goes as how it would be except Luna taking in her place as the 3rd member of the trio. They eventually win the war but Hermione’s whereabouts is unknown to Ron and to everyone else. 5 years later, Ron was going on about his day until he hears the Delluminator saying his name, Hermione’s voice. I can’t find it no matter how hard I look as I never finished the story.

Perhaps you can help me with this.

I'm looking for a really old fanfiction, in my memory it was actually never completed. It was translated in a few languages, for sure in Spanish, French, and English. Since those are 3 languages I speak fluently, I cannot remember which one was the original. I'm pretty sure it was written at least before DH came out as a book.

It was an AU of during the war but post Hogwarts and our trio are adults and still fighting. Ron is an Auror if I recall correctly. Harry and Ginny are like the background couple. Ron and Hermione have one steamy night and lose contact for a few years during which Hermione becomes a bit of a recluse even though she still sees Harry somewhat regurlarly. I think she even left the Wizarding World and went back to live as a Muggle, or something like that. And she and Ron reunite because he is sent to protect her or something.

Super confusing, I know but if it rings any bell, please let me know!

I saw this in an older reddit post and thought it was really interesting to consider this perspective! Since the books are from Harry's POV, it's easy for readers to sometimes forget how much time Hermione and Ron spend together when Harry is not around! I think they're much closer to each other than most people realize. It's really sweet that they spend basically all their free time with one another!

Hi all! I’ve been in the HP fic world a looong time and originally used to read and write Harry/Draco in the early 00’s FictionAlley days. Ron/Hermione was always my sidekick pairing although I never really dabbled into reading many fics that were Ron/Hermione main couple. The last 5 years I’ve been in a Draco/Hermione phase but I stumbled over a few R/Hr on Ao3 and now am looking for recs.

I had a look at the pinned Google Docs post but it was updated 4 years ago so I’m not actually sure how active the Romione fic writing is anymore? Also they all seemed to be ff.net links which pains me as I hate that website 😅 My ideal fic would be characters in their 20s, maybe an auror!Ron trying to win Hermione over - do any like this exist out there or am I just making them up?

I just read “Time Will Tell” and loved the Ron characterisation, so any more that have that sort of feel to it would be great.

I am trying to find a fanfic I once read on ao3. I can’t remember the name but it was an AU ff, in which Hermione never went to Hogwarts but was homeschooled by McGonagall. She started to work at the ministry where she met Auror Ron and Harry. It had a kinda enemies to friends to lovers vibe, cause they had to work together to catch some wizards who were targeting muggleborns or something. Ron and Hermione were also secret penpals because she forgot her diary at a bookstore/cafe and Ron read it/wrote in it.
