Had a go last night, absolutely great experience for all those who want to relive that arcade experience! Thanks Halfdeck! Worked well on the g2. Only issue I had was level 2. In entry had to play about with the thumbsticks to get teleport to work then once teleported could use smooth motion as normal. For those that want direct access to the files without phfaffing about with hokey discord invites that seem to be always expired (can't stand that platform) :

Hello friends, since I don't have a rtx (1080ti) anyone did the tests with the yesterday's driver?
How good the headset looks now? Shimmering is gone?
I contacted HP support about the whole WMR turning my headset into e-waste thing this is what I got once I asked if they will fix the issue by making the headset work with another software that is not WMR or if are they going to give me my money back:
In the ever-expanding world of virtual reality, the debate between the HP Reverb G2 and the Meta Quest 3 is like choosing between a high-end sports car and a sleek self-driving Tesla. Both are impressive in their own right, but when it comes down to raw immersion and sheer quality, the HP Reverb G2 emerges as the undisputed champion. Sure, the Quest 3 has its charm, like a well-dressed person with excellent social media presence, but the Reverb G2 is like a sophisticated, unassuming genius who quietly steals the show. Let’s dive deep into why the HP Reverb G2 takes the crown with grace, style, and, dare I say, a bit of humor.
First, let’s talk about the visual experience. If you’ve ever worn a VR headset and felt like you were peering through a muddy aquarium, welcome to the world before the Reverb G2. The G2 boasts a jaw-dropping 2160 x 2160 resolution per eye. That’s not just clear; that’s so clear you’ll be tempted to grab a virtual towel and wipe off your lenses as if they were real windows. The Quest 3, on the other hand, has a respectable 2064 x 2208 resolution per eye, which, to be fair, is no slouch—but it’s like buying a 4K TV and watching it through a slightly smudged screen. It gets the job done, but it’s not quite the visual feast you deserve. The G2’s display clarity makes the Quest 3 look like a pixelated photo of Bigfoot. You can read tiny text in VR, you can see every detail in a virtual landscape, and you won’t be squinting like an old man trying to decipher a fine print contract. Simply put, the Reverb G2’s resolution is a visual treat. It’s so sharp, you’ll start looking for reasons to wear it more often, just to see what your favorite shows and games look like with a bit more “wow.” 2. Field of View: Go Big or Go Home While the Quest 3 has a commendable field of view (FOV), measuring at about 110 degrees, the HP Reverb G2 takes it up a notch with a wider 114-degree FOV. You might think, "Hey, 4 degrees? Who cares?" But when you’re in the middle of an immersive VR experience, those extra degrees make you feel like you’ve just been handed a pair of prescription sunglasses that let you see the world in ultra-high definition. It’s like going from a cozy studio apartment to a spacious penthouse suite. Suddenly, you can see more of the virtual world, and it’s glorious. 3. Comfort: Wear It for Hours Without Feeling Like You’re Headbutting a Brick Wall The Quest 3 is comfortable, sure. But it’s like wearing a hoodie—decent, but not the best. The HP Reverb G2, however, feels like it was designed by a team of engineers who sat down and thought, “How can we make this so comfortable that people forget they're wearing a VR headset?” The G2 has an adjustable headband with an ergonomic design that evenly distributes weight across your face, ensuring that after hours of gaming or work, you won’t feel like you’ve been in a headlock with a linebacker. In contrast, the Quest 3 is like that pair of shoes that look great but start hurting after a while. Sure, it fits fine at first, but after a few hours, you’ll start feeling those pressure points on your forehead. And don't even get me started on the Quest 3's somewhat awkward strap system that feels like you're trying to tie a fancy knot in a rope while riding a rollercoaster. 4. Sound: Dolby Atmos or Bust When you’re deep in a VR game or exploring a virtual world, immersion is key, and sound plays a huge role in that. The HP Reverb G2 doesn’t just rely on basic sound; it’s got built-in spatial audio with support for Dolby Atmos. This means that the sounds you hear are not just coming from the left and right—they're coming from all around you, giving you a 3D soundscape that’s as rich as a gourmet meal. The Quest 3 has good sound, but it’s a little more “basic,” like the difference between eating a microwave burrito and a fresh, hand-crafted burrito made by a top chef. It works, but the audio just doesn't have the same level of depth or positional accuracy. With the G2, when a virtual dragon roars in your ear, you’ll feel it coming from behind you, giving you a true sense of danger. The Quest 3? You’ll know it’s there, but it might sound a bit more like it’s happening from a different room. 5. Tracking: Precision Like a Swiss Watch Ah, the tracking. The Quest 3 has some good inside-out tracking that works well in most scenarios. But then we have the HP Reverb G2 with its inside-out tracking combined with external tracking cameras. This little magic trick helps the G2 stay precise, even in less-than-ideal lighting conditions. If you’re into sim racing or any VR experience that requires pinpoint accuracy, the G2’s tracking is like the difference between threading a needle and trying to hit a moving target with a water balloon. It’s precise, smooth, and responsive. The Quest 3’s tracking is, unfortunately, less forgiving. It's not terrible by any means, but it can be a little inconsistent in lower-light environments or when you’re flailing around like a marionette on a sugar rush. The G2’s superior tracking will make you feel like a true VR ninja, not someone struggling to figure out where their virtual hands have gone. Conclusion: The Reverb G2—An Experience, Not Just a Headset In the battle between the HP Reverb G2 and the Meta Quest 3, it’s clear that the Reverb G2 is a more refined, comfortable, and visually stunning choice for serious VR enthusiasts. The Quest 3 is still a solid headset for casual users or those who prioritize portability, but if you’re looking for the ultimate VR experience that combines razor-sharp visuals, superior sound, and unbeatable comfort, the HP Reverb G2 is the headset that will make your VR dreams a reality. Plus, it’s the only headset where you won’t feel like you’ve just been punched in the face by your own forehead strap. What more could you want? In short, the HP Reverb G2 is like the VR version of that quiet, brilliant friend who doesn’t need to shout to make their presence felt. The Quest 3? Well, it’s still trying to figure out how to politely ask for the spotlight.
Hi community!
I have my Reverb G2 now for about a month (bought 2nd hand).
I use it exclusively for simracing (so seated, obviously), and everything worked flawlessly at start. Now I noticed that my view is tilted / rolled to the left a couple of degrees, when in game or the WMR home appartement. i.e. my horizon is not leveled, but on the left of my FOV the horizon is a couple centimeters lower than on the right.
I already tried clearing WMR environment data several times, but to no avail - I even reinstalled Windows. my horizon stays crooked. This is super frustrating, an I think maybe the built in gyro is damaged.
As I mentioned I bought the headset 2nd hand, so I don't have an option to send it in for repairs. Also, apart from the tilted horizon, the tracking seems to work flawlessly. So I'm wondering: Is there anything i can do, or am I just screwed?
Is there a way to adjust / calibrate the gyros manually? Or is there a software in which i can permanently just spin the image back 3 to 5 degrees so It's leveled again?
Any hints are much appreciated!
I've been using my Reverb G2 for a few years now, and one of the things that frustrates me most is when I first launch WMR, it drops me in a position in "my home" that's off center and requires me to crane my neck to look behind me (seated position as I sim race) to be able to right click and move myself to an area where I can be centered in front of the virtual desktop. I only use this to launch whatever title I'm going to run on Steam, and while I know I should be able to simply launch before putting my headset on, I've found that I run into problems if I launch the game without putting the headset on. I'm not sure if how I'm describing it makes any sense, but basically, I'd like to be in the back center of the "room" so that I don't have to reposition myself. I'm using the basic home that is just two white "walls" and a "wood" floor to save on resources since I don't use any of the "home" features.
Is it perhaps possible to set up an operator other than windows to run windows mixed reality with your reverb g2 now in 2025?
I heard of something called Linux and not sure if that requires windows to use.
We are limited on affordable G2 replacements. We got the DPVR E4, PSVR2, and the Pimax Crystal light. All have display port cables and no batteries to worry about dying in an hour and a half like standalone wireless vr.
Many people do not want to go down the Pimax route since they have Quality Control issues due to releasing vr headsets and announcing them too early
Don’t get me wrong Pimax is an amazing company and I appreciate the hardware they provide us and I love my crystal light very much. They just need to slow down a bit.
Hopefully something can be done to keep the Windows Mixed Reality software working without the help of Windows or HP in the future so that the Reverb G2 is able to hold its own again. Because sooner or later we’ll be literally forced to update to windows 12 so we’ll need a different operation system to download onto our PCs.
Plus there are a lot of resellers selling very Cheap Reverb G2’s and it would probably be nice to have a reliable budget pcvr option that has IPD adjustment, good speakers, and doesn’t need Bluetooth to hook your controllers up with the DPVR E4 and PSVR2
im haveing a problem were every time i try to manually pair my controllers it takes me to the Bluetooth on my pc and not the tab where you pair the controllers
I switched from AMD to nvidia 3080 on my PC. For some reason Alyx doesn’t work. Just blank screen or insanely low FPS. Nor does the shooting game Raw Data.
But other apps like Bigscreen and VR Chat work.
I tried messing with the openXR and resolution scaling settings with no luck.
Old AMD drivers have been uninstalled and 2D games work fine.
Headset is in perfect shape but cable has definitely seen better days.
Is this a software issue? Or could it just be the cable. I’m using windows 10 22H2
hello all,
my hp reverb g2 is not being detected anymore in wmr after about 4 hours of usage (steam shows 3.6 on steamvr).
hardware:
cpu: ryzen 5 3600
gpu: rx 7900xtx
32gb ram
msi b450 gaming pro carbon mainboard
i use an active powered usb hub because it wouldnt work without it
I dont think the issue is the hub as i can plug in a usb drive and it works fine
i have tried different usb c on the hub and plugging the hub into different usb a ports on my mainboard
the only thing i did besides sleep and shutdown/restart the pc between it working and not working is switching out the batteries on the controllers which are not needed for the headset itself to work
the light on the small box that converts the headset cable into usb c and dp is on and i have also tried reseating the cable on the headset itself
I can find guide for the HTC Vive, but not for the HP G2.
Thanks.
ok so i bought the hp reverb g2 a week ago and it came in the mail today.. looked up a yt tutorial on how to start it up and use it.. did everything it told me to do.. everything did exactly as its supposed to.. but for some reason the headset wont turn on.. i did everything that i could find.. update drivers, update windows, make sure little light on box works, restart computer (did multiple times), did the device manager thingy and updated the drivers, messed with windows 10 settings, messed with MRP settings, unplugged and replugged the outlets.. im starting to panic.. im running out of ideas on why my headset wont turn on after plugging it in.. and how to fix it.. plz tell me someone has a fix for this..?
(UPDATE) yes i am on windows 10 no need to be upset over it i understand the whole "hp doesnt work on windows 11" (i dont like the newer update anyway so im in the clear.. for now.. ) i was messing with all kinds of settings and i got it to turn on ONCE and idk what i did to turn it on in the first place but im trying.. any help would be appreciated.. cuz i dont really get much money nor own much income.. so i dont want the money i worked so hard to save up to be for nothin.. i got this for 200 and the owner doesnt except returns or refunds so if this doesnt work.. im down 200 and cant get it back.. OH and i forgot to mention i get the 7-14 error message alot..
So i use my G2 as my sim racing headset but recently the head tracking has been getting worse to the point where it is barely usable. I have often had some slight movement occasionally, but now my head position in the car will suddenly be like a metre to the left/right or up/down and will then snap back. And it is happening multiple times per lap.
I have tried every USB port both on the moatherboard + powered USB hub and the result is the same.
Could this be being caused by the cable failing?
Update: Was looking forward to see if clearing environment data was going to help the issue only to be met with "Check your USB cable Error 4-1". In device manager Hp reverb status is "Device Error : 0x80040203 : E_DEVICE_USB_SPEED_TOO_SLOW"
Checked with multiple USB ports which I know have worked fine in the past. Uninstalled/reinstall WMR portal.
Looking online at early posts this was a sign of a dead cable.
Get guys I'm not sure what exactly I'm asking for here.
I do iracing in VR. A few weeks ago I was using my VR and had a mixed reality menu pop up mid practice session. So I'm trying to drive and there's a giant screen overlay right in my face.
I'm going to be doing the Daytona 24 hours this weekend on iracing and I want to make sure this doesn't happen again. Does anyone know how to turn off any menus, or what hot key may have opened that menu? I haven't been able to "accidently" replicate it since but it's happened twice before so I want to double check that it doesn't happen again.
Does anyone know of a cable clip being sold that fits the G2? If not I will continue to use zip ties. I did find a link (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4723188) for a model to 3D print and I have a friend who has a 3D printer but we won't be able to meet up for a while so it's
So the other day I had problems starting up my G2 (7-14 and some other message), on device manager Windows did recognize G2, but WMR threw an error code, got frustrated and went to see the Crystal light. Found out they have $80 off for G2 owners so I applied. While I was waiting for the rebate to go through I also found a coupon for 10% off for first time buyers, don't know if I could use them both for the order. I'm Still confused about the Amazon Prime connection payment, why not just give us one price to pay, I would have probably pulled the trigger and bought one.
While I was at it, I also checked out Varjo Aero, since that was the one I wanted a year ago when it went on sale, (still do), I know, some say it's already old technology. Prices haven't come down they are still around 900 bucks, and after talking to Aero users who have experience with Crystal light I started swinging the Aero way, even made a ridiculous lowball offer on ebay, the guy countered $50 more, I passed.
While all this was going on I took my PC apart (for cleaning) and found out my PCIe USB-C card had actually blown a cap, so I ordered a new one, delivered the same day, installed it and fired up the G2. Que up Peter Schilling "Major Tom". In the end, for $45.00 I'm good to go again, the I-gotta-get-new-HMD fever disappeared just like that when I started Elite Dangerous, which of course had lost all the key bindings for HOTAS since I connected the USB's in different ports (those who play ED know what I'm talking about). To those saying why didn't you connect directly to MB, it has no USB-C and I don't have the adapter....
Here's wishing a long life for 23H2, who knows, maybe MS finds it in their profit sharing minds to keep it alive by not forcing the 24h2 update on us for an extended period, (I do know about the ways to keep 23h2 alive)... In the end, I've had a good run on my 3-4 year old, factory refurbished 299.00 dollar G2.
For the 800 dollars I didn't spend, I figured I'd either get a new sim flight cockpit, probably not, but it's a thought, or I'll save it for a summer overland trip to Zion and Canyonlands National parks.
Preamble, skip further down if you want.
Ok, I got this thing yesterday. I want to give you my little honest review on this since there's been a lot of this and that going around and some obvious shilling from a certain poster that makes everything feel sus. So now it's time to hear an honest, calm opinion from just me, an ordinary man.
I have had the CV1, Rift S (before Zuckerburg came along and rudely changed the contract) , then G2...
Ok, so we all know the sad story of the G2, a brilliant headset, sadly demeaned by many in the early days, but which I found to be a good solid, dependable headset. I never suffered the cable breaking or discomfort or weird eye issues that some had and it lasted me well through covid right up to this time. Sure there were little teething issues in the beginning (I was a pre-release orderer), but they were ironed out in about 6 months. Then Microsoft had to ruin it all by just giving up on the G2. It's getting hard to trust any VR manufacturer/supporters will actually stay the course. :(
Anyway, saw The Pimax Crystal light had a special offer to G2 users, £80 off and after paying a lump sum you pay about 10 bucks a month until all paid. Return in 2 weeks if don't like. After careful deliberation and research, I decided to give it a try, my HP Reverb G2 still jealously held close...
I ordered 3rd January this year. Was not really impressed with the chat communication service when I asked how long it would take. Expected the Chinese New year to hold everything up, but to my surprise it arrived yesterday.
The early days Review.
It was reasonably well wrapped up in a very plain black box. The box was much lighter than expected. Opened it, removed the contents. Everything was there and sealed... But the blue lenses covering was off position on one lens which worried me a little. I super-checked the lenses, but they were clear and scratch-free. I also noticed that these lenses were definitely larger than the G2's
I can kinda see why everything was kinda light. It needs to be, this head set is quite big, wider, of course than the G2, but also with a huge back headrest. Some people say the quality of the build was lacking, but I don't totally agree. It's just light, which it needs to be. Even then it's heavier than the G2.
Now, the padding of the headset, while real thick, is not of the quality, I agree, not like the G2's. It's just basic thick grey foam, which is disappointing. I've seen better straight away on 3rd party sites. However the rest of the headset feels fine to me, just big and mechanical.
The instructions to putting it all together were basic, but not unlike the G2. You have almost all the same cables except instead of a usb-c, it's just USB 3.0 and Display Port connection, which I prefer as it was a pain setting up my pc with a usb-c connection for the G2, although that also had a USB adaptor. It was pretty easy.
Driver:
Then I had to download their Pimax Play utility driver and it's not terrible. Pretty clear and straight forward. However, I did have early issues with the Pimax not being happy with my USB slots, an issue I had with the Rift S AND G2 in the early days. All VRs seem to suffer this except for the early CV1, it's really annoying they haven't sorted this out still.
edit note: I just discovered that while it likes my 3.2 gen 1 usb ports (blue), it hates my 3.2 gen 2 type-A ports (red). Pimax needs to do something about that. I think.
This also tracks how long you've had the Pimax and your payment schedule which it doesn't bother you about at this point. When I was setting up my registering it gave me 60 seconds to fill it all out which wasn't that long when I had to rush get the code and figure a name and password for myself. That was weird.
Controllers.
Anyway, I finally found a USB slot it liked. Then I got the controllers which are, in my opinion, much better then the G2's. Smaller, lighter, as it should be with no gigantic Christmas lights which always had the neighbours puzzled. They look weirdly similar to the quest's controllers I think. The rumble is a little better too. No separate batteries, it is powered through USB.
Cable:
Thick cable. About the same as the G2, not quite as long, about 3 feet shorter, but just a bit stiffer, could be a new construct thing. It might loosen up with time. I hung it up on my ceiling hook system and it sagged just that little bit more than the G2 cable. It should last then, I guess. I don't like how it wraps into the helmet though. I might alter that so it goes up rather than down.
Info on cable length: 5m (15ft). G2 cable is 6m (18 ft). thanks, Radraze2kx.
Putting on the headset.
Ok, this is definitely heavier than the G2, you will notice it at first. Also not as airy or comfortable on first wear. I could feel it pressed on my forehead and realised if I run any active game for longer than 30 minutes (I do not intend to just sit and play), this is gonna get sweaty fast, as it did. I couldn't use the G2 in the height of summer, so I definitely don't see myself using the Pimax in the height of summer. More on this later...
Floorspace.
Setting up the floorspace was better than the G2, you just use the grey camera view and literally `write` the floor view as you see it. Easy- or take a standard quick floorspace.
So finally installed SteamVR and all that and the Pimax Play locks onto it quite nicely. I have run only one game on it so far, Blade and Sorcery which I had been running the previous day with the G2. I wanted to do Fallout 4VR, but that was not yet installed. I intend to test on several more games.
Oh yea, pc specs:
Ryzen 9 5900x, Windows 10, 3080 12 gig. 64 gig 3600 ram, SSD nvme drive. Fresh clean drivers after cleaning out Microsoft's nvidia install with DDU. PC was recently formatted so a very clean system.
Running Blade and Sorcery:
Immediate first impressions: Bigger! Clearer! Everything is more in your face. Far less black peripheral borders. The `sweet spot` so many talk about is definitely way bigger than the G2. I can look around a bit without needing to always move my head. The sweet spot thing with the G2 never bothered me as much as with others, but it's definitely a nice improvement here.
But.....fisheye?
There was a really weird `fisheye` gold-fish bowl thing going on, it felt more kinda stretched and curved towards the peripheral and I felt too low to the ground. I know this is an effect of the kind of lens, but surely it should not be like this?
So I got out the game and reset the floorspace, readjusted my headset to get a better fit and finally adjusted my PD from 72 to 65 (it's a manual adjustment by the way). Also recalibrated my height in game. That was a lot better. However there is still some distortion on the edges of the lenses if you look without turning your head. It's not perfectly clear or even straight on the edges. However, now the world looked better so off I trotted. Maybe I will adjust.
The clarity is really very good. I could see everything clearly, even better than the G2 and the wider FOV really put me `there`... except for this feel of this thing on my head. I remember when I first had the G2 the thing on my head felt weird, I kinda feel that all over again with the Pimax. I'm so used to the G2.
Action!
Then I got to creeping around, and into some intense fights and what I noticed afterwards I forgot about the weight. Also the slight warping on the edges I stopped noticing. So you do get used to it. However, I was constantly adjusting the headset cos it felt either too heavy on my nose and cheeks or too pressing on my forehead, but you need a good fit so it does not rock around in a fight. I get the feeling I will have to get a 3rd party add-on cushion that allows the skin to breathe for this - IF I keep this. But I was quite immersed once in the action, very good.
Inside-out tracking
The inside-out tracking was good. It was just like the G2. I didn't notice anything different at all. I was climbing obstacles, fighting with sword and shield, firing with bow (reaching behind my back to grab arrows) and jumping gaps. The controls are almost exactly like the G2s. I got into that straight away.
Audio:
Almost forgot about this. The headset comes with a basic off-ear audio which does the job fine for me. However, it's not to the quality of the G2 audio Index speakers that are the best thing I've ever seen in VR. Now Pimax offers this, either free if you waiver the 80 bucks rebate, so not free or for a fee. But it's there. I really didn't mind the basic audio.
Framerate:
I did not measure framerate, but I never noticed any slowdown and it ran absolutely fine with my 3080 12 gig. If it runs well enough so I don't noticed slowdown, that's good enough for me. Obviously, the GPU is not the only requirement as I specified in my specs earlier, which probably helped.
Time played:
I did run Blade and Sorcery for about 3 hours and enjoyed it almost as much as the G2. It was halfway while playing when I thought, "Hmmm... this might just be acceptable. maybe." but I was sweating, so I'm gonna need a cloth. But it was also bedtime!
Play truly Offline?
I was able to play completely disconnected from the net. It would've been an insta-return if I couldn't.
Summary:
So to summarise- It's ok, better than the G2 in vision, controllers, not so great in comfort, especially standing or long sessions. The weight, I can get used to, but it's setting it up to sit on my head long term that's an issue. Also how well will it fair long term? I kept my G2 fine over 4 years or so, not even any cable issues; will it be the same with the Pimax?
We will see over the next week or so whether I stick with it or not.
By the way this is all default. I haven't tried fixed foveated or 90hz upscale mode I've heard about. Will try that too.
p.s some slight adjustments for keyboard errors.
p.p.s Second session today. It seems better, Visuals better. Wearing on the head felt less uncomfortable. I am learning to have it fit without being too tight. I did use some of my G2's studioform velcro kit weights and that helped balance it. Spent another 3 hours on it. Good performance in Blade and Sorcery. But I aim to install and run another VR game or two so I can see how that looks.
But the visuals are really great. I can see so far and clearly. I can read notes on a crate without needing to go and pick it up first!
I am leaning to quite positive on this headset, but I am a hugely cautious guy so I'm testing the heck out of it to see if it throws up any nasty surprises, or breaks, but so far, so good.
AMVR Touch Controller Grip Anti-Throw Strap Accessories for HP Reverb G2 V1/V2 with Battery Opening, Adjustable Wrist Knuckle Strap https://a.co/d/5nrcrJS
Anyone own this? I lost my user manual and I don’t know where should I put the pick in order to remove the cover.
I can’t find this information on the internet.
I'm so done with this. After the old cable was apparently faulty (it worked but wasn't reliable), I bought a new one. I have the exact same setup and it has the error "Couldn't start Windows Mixed Reality" after a couple seconds of it working. I have 23H2, fully updated drivers and EVERYTHING. The cable was on ebay, so theres a chance it doesn't work. I don't think it's my computer but maybe just WMR being shitty. Please help
Also, I can see the view of what the headset should be seeing on WMR for a couple seconds before it does it and the tracking works but the video isn’t on the reverb
Until today my HP reverb g2 was working without problem but now I get message Connect your headset. I tried to replug everything but it still doesn't work. Any help
I am still on win 10 and the g2 still works fine, and not going to swtich to win 11 anytime soon. But it worries me it will not be supported soon, as in some games like that alien game on steam already doesn't support it properly and you have to mess around with openxr etc , so in the future before it becomes obsolete, I would like to changeit, but what are the ones you suggest?
Keeping in mind that: q3 is out of discussion i tried and feels liek a toy and i left the rift because of the whole meta ecosystem (which could end up just like the wmr, no guarantee for the future at all)
Psvr is out of disucssion too, too much hassle to make it work on pc and from what i tried is nothing (in terms of clarity, as i need glasses inside the vr to actually see something) compared to the g2, which had enough space for any kind of glasses inside.
was tempted with pimax crystal but the constant people complaining about build quality, misaligned lens, refunds and whatnot really made me decide to not get it. also the fact you're basically forced to buy external headphone to have proper deep sound means you have to spend other 100$ on top of a hefty price already
so what's letf?
