Buttons sometimes not responding in CS2, Steam input, PS4 controller

It seems to only be buttons that I have set to multiple commands, like L3 and Triangle, L3 I have set to cycle between "3" and "1" to switch between knife and primary. Triangle I have set to cycle between "2" and "1". Randomly like 10% of the time pressing triangle or pressing L3 will do nothing.

Any idea what the problem may be? I would assume it has to do with one button having two different commands. I believe I have those buttons set to "add extra command" instead of "add sub command" if that matters.

New World with Gyro

I've been working on making gyro controls smooth in New World, but it feels extremely choppy. The performance is inconsistent; whether I'm using Local or World space, it either overshoots or undershoots. Is there anyone who can assist me with this?

I’ve use gyro controls and have tried them in other games (like Deadlock, Battlefield, and Valorant) where gyro isn't supported, yet they feel much smoother than in New World.

500hz Is Better Than 1000hz On The PS5 Dualsense (results)

In Aim Labs I have done hundreds of trials testing different clock speeds.

Consistently I have found worse results by overclocking to 1000hz or more on the ps5 dualsense defying conventional wisdom that faster polling always means better performance.

This also applied to the dualsense edge where faster polling did not equate to better accuracy.

Yesterday I tested different clockspeeds of the PS5 dualsense using gamepadla.

Here were my results:

250hz - 99.88% stability @ 4 m/s avg

500hz - 99.36% stability @ 2 m/s avg

1000hz - 95.18% stability @ 1 m/s avg

And for an added bonus the Nacon Revolution 5 had 94% stability at its default polling of 250hz confirming my impression that the gyro was worse than the dualsense.

Keep in mind, these are the wired results, not unwired. You will get worse stability results using bluetooth or a dongle.

For example the stability was 91% on the Nacon Revolution 5 using its 2.4ghz dongle.

So if you want better performing gyro I'd recommend going wired and when overclocking paying attention to signal quality.

You may be doing more harm than good without much real benefit trying to overclock to the absolute max it can handle.

controller with 4 back paddles + rewasd support?

Please recommend me a controller with:

-gyroscope

- 4 back paddles

- can use with rewasd

-similar to Xbox layout

Its fine if the back paddles can only be remapped to face butons, as long as i can use rewasd for gyro and button combos cause ill just map anduse the face buttons

I have used fly Digi controllers, (vader 2 and vader 3 pro) and had issues with the gyro randomly slowing down or having to constantly recalibrate sticks because of it making me walk backwards in game.

so far I'm thinking one of the guild kit ones would be good, what do you guys think? thank you

Setting up gyro on GameSir T4 Kaleid

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with the gyroscope setting in games on my GameSir T4 Kaleid. Every time I try to adjust the gyroscope in games it always ends up with extremely inaccurate, jerky or just no control and I don't know what to do and how to adjust it so that it works. I tried emulating the gamepad as a PS4 gamepad through DS4Windows and JoyShockMapper, but maybe I was setting up the programs wrong somehow, but the gyroscope just worked horribly. I would give up the idea of customization if not for one thing - gyro works perfectly through Steam Input gyro as mouse and in CEMU emulator in games where gyro is used. I mean, it still works fine, but how to make it work in other games? For example I want it to work in Helldivers 2 through the built-in gyro support, or in Forza Horizon 4 to use the gyro as a steering wheel

Switch Pro Controller Gyro Aim Black Ops 6 - Xbox Game Pass - Is it Possible?

Was wondering if its possible to hook up a pro controller to Black ops 6 on Gamepass PC, if so, any idea how its done and if it would be any good?

Played a lot of gyro controlled Splatoon so using stick has now become a nightmare. Ofc I can use mouse but was wondering if this solution would be at all viable, I also don't have a duelsense :)

Wondering if anyone knows how to use gyro without using the KK3 as a switch controller or if not are there plans from the Gulikit team for native support?

How to get Steam Input working in a GamePass+EA Play game? (Dead Space Remake)

I'm trying to get gyro working in Dead Space Remake. I have the game through EA Play which I have through GamePass.

The game itself is not an UWP app, it's a normal Win32 application, but when I add the .exe as a non-Steam game and launch it, it does launch, but Steam doesn't detect that it's running and therefore doesn't apply the custom controller configuration.

Does anybody know how to get this to work?

EDIT: I couldn't find a way to make SteamInput work, but figured out that, at least with my Dualsense, I can use gyro if I make sure the controller is hidden from the game and I'm emulating a 360 controller. I had the best luck using DS4Windows for that, HidHide on its own or through DSX didn't work for some reason, only the 'hide DS4' option in DS4Windows seemed to actually make the game stop taking control over the controller.

Unfortunately, the game is very wonky when mixing analog movement with mouse gyro (moving and aiming with gyro at the same time breaks aiming), and when emulating the right stick with gyro i get weird issues like the camera moving on its own after I shoot unless I set a gyro deadzone that is too high to be comfortable, so I think I'm gonna end up emulating MKB like I did with Space Marine 2. Leaving this for posterity.

Want to make the leap into gyro gaming but can’t find the right controller

Like the title says I can’t find the right controller or accessories for me. I like Xbox style controllers with extra buttons or paddles but I also use a chat pad on my current controller. I can’t find a controller that checks all my boxes. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Gyro controller for steamdeck

Howdy! People who have a steam deck and like gyro! I'm in the market for a controller with good gyro for fps games. I was looking at the 8bitdo Pro 2. I was wondering if I could use it with gyro with Bluetooth and plugged in. (I've read some places that some 8bitdo controllers only can do gyro when in Bluetooth but not plugged in) I'd be getting it primarily for use with my steam deck but also my switch.

Will I be able to use this controller with gyro plugged in or Bluetooth with my steam deck without issue? Is the polling rate too low or should I be fine using gyro for aim? Any issues I should be aware of for this specific use case? Should I look at a different controller for this specific use case? I know a lot of people say the dual sense is like the definitive gyro controller right now but I have some issues with it and I was hoping to have an extra controller for my switch at the same time. Hoping for answers from people who also have a 8bitdo pro 2 and steam deck on that front and others on other controller recommendations for my use case.

Noobie here need some help to choose my first controller

Hi all, complete noob in controllers is here. Never had a controller and never even touched it except my radiomaster for FPV drones but that is another world.

I used to play MnK for all my life, being good aimer (most time playing competitive games).

But I want to join Gyro Aim community, so basically need an advice which controller should I buy?

I did some research and currently looking at DualSense or GameSir T4 Kaleid.

But the more I search the more complicated it gets to me.

I made some list that I wish should be present in controller.

  1. Good compatibility with PC games as I only rock PC.
  2. Have good gyro impelmentation
  3. 1000hz if possible, idk if 500hz is ok nowadays
  4. Wired or wireless, not really important to me
  5. Has buttons on the back
  6. Hall Effect sticks (maybe skippable but i wont brake with it in month of use XD)
  7. I can pay ~100 US dollars but if needed can increase my budget

Idk about grip style, i think i can get used to it as i never had controller
Thank in advance yall <3

Apex legends dual input makes the camera jittery?

Hi , I noticed that when playing apex legends and using two different inputs (kmb , controller) at the same time it makes the camera have micro stutters. Like if the game took some miliseconds to constantly switch between kmb and controller instead of fluidly using both of them at the same time.

I aim with gyro (so kbm input) and move with joystick (therefore controller input) . I tried to remap my joystick as a directional input (W,A,S,D) so that I used only one type of input and it did fix the stutter. Sadly this was not viable as I couldn't loot since the game uses the movement joystick to scroll the deathbox menu.

How do you guys overcome the looting problem? Does your gyro also have microstuters while using both types of inputs at the same time ?

Edit:

First I use a controller input to move and a kmb input (gyro as mouse) to aim. I think you can clearly see how jittery the aiming is.

Then I use a kmb input to move (w on my keyboard) and a kmb input (gyro as mouse) to aim. The aiming is no longer jittery.

Are gyro controls supported in the PC Game Pass (Xbox app) version of Black Ops 6?

More generally, is gyro supported in any PC Game Pass/Microsoft Store/Xbox app games at all?

If so, would they have native support, (like some games do in other platforms, when using a compatible controller), or always require additional software, such as JSM, ReWasd and Steam Input (via manually adding said games to Steam)?

Controllers similar to DarkWalker ShotPad but with bluetooth

I’m looking to do gyro aim on Overwatch 2. Only problem is I don’t own neither a PC or a gaming console, so I play exclusively thorugh GeForce Now in a web browser. Works pretty good, but GeForce Now converts every controller to X-input, meaning I cannot use Gyro Aiming in PlayStation Controller.

I saw this interesting product: DarkWalker ShotPad Wireless Gyro TouchPad Game Controller for PC|SteamDeck|PS4|PS5|Xbox One|Xbox Series S X https://a.co/d/b8NMF3L

As far as I can tell it will use your gyro movements and convert them to mouse and keyboard. So if I’m not mistaken GeForce Now will just think I use game and mouse while aiming.

Now the problem with this product is only that it doesn’t seem to be bluetooth. My setup does not have an USB port for the dongle required for the wireless connection..

So, anyone know of a similar product that converts gyro aiming to mouse and keyobard input, that also works over bluetooth?

Thanks!

Recommendation pls

Can anyone recommend a controller where I can use the gyroscope without necessarily having to use Bluetooth? The Machenike G5 Pro only works with the gyro when in Switch mode AND using Bluetooth (too much latency!), and it’s the same with 8bitdo. Is there any controller besides the DualShock 4 and DualSense where I can use the gyro with a 2.4GHz dongle or wired connection? (Flydigi direwolf works in the same way too, gyro only in bluetooth mode🥲)

Best controller with gyro for PC

Hello, for now i have GameSir T4 Kaleid with gyro, but I'm not happy with it in gyro because gyro and controller itself in dinput mode has only 250Hz polling rate and not so accurate. So I'm looking for a better PC controller with gyro (but not Nintendo switch pro controller or PS4/PS5 controllers, besides of good gyro i think they are overall bad in durability aspect)

Want to enable gyro aiming on Overwatch 2 through Steam Input, but I’m stuck since Steam detects my DualSense 4 as an Xbox Controller

I’m trying to enable gyro aiming through Steam Input, so that I can gyro aim with my DualSense 4 controller. However, I don’t get the chance to enable gyro aiming since Steam for some reason insist that my Dualsense 4 controller is an Xbox Controller. And Xbox controllers does not have gyro, hence the setting is unavailable for me.

Some details about my setup (hold on this is a spicy one):

- Playing Overwatch 2 through Steam

- Playing on GeForce NOW Ultimate Tier

- Hardware is Apple Vision Pro, running Nexus+ app

- The OS itself detects the controller as a PS4 controller and fully supports it

Any help is much appriciated!
