I understand the basics - scenario, copies of each bronze and gold, thirsty dame ×2, art vigo, Philippe.
What cards are going to lay the ground for a cultist deck to play to its Max effectiveness?
And what kind of plays should I be trying to make? Multiple copies and deploys with teleport/Duchess informants/ Operator?
Or a more status heavy playstyle, poison and spying procs?
Harmony is one my favorite archetypes and I love the design of most of the cards. Some seasons ago it was fairly strong but now it feels a bit underwhelming. It still works okayish with Schirru and Guerilla Tactics but I wanna make use of the Harmony ability which just got a buff.
Normally you used to pair it with Saskia for points and thinning which led to round control but in this current meta I often find myself outpointslammed or completely destroyed with Saskia and the movement package (witchers, elves and dryads).
Is there another way to play besides Saskia or Schirru? Maybe including a dwarf package to win round 1?
By the way, I really enjoyed Lerio's Harmony approach with Golden Nekker but I wanna play with scenario.
I’ve encountered a NG deck, which tactic or maybe cheat I didn’t understand the slightest - maybe you can enlighten me:
he played „Tibor Eggebracht“ ( https://gwent.one/de/card/162107 ) four times which I don’t know why it is possible. There where no other cards present when he started this in the last round. You can still see it in the screenshot.
while this gave me lots of cards I couldn’t play much of them as they got damaged each round and destroyed latest after 2 rounds. Neither the effect of Tibor nor his only other card „Black infantry archer“ ( https://gwent.fandom.com/de/wiki/Schütze_der_Schwarzen_Infanterie ) explained this effect. Btw. this card seems extremely imbalanced - it’s a bringe card damaging every unit you play by 3..5?!
Also all the „Tibor Eggebracht“ cards did damage every round even if I think my units got no status to trigger this effect.
The effect of Egfebracht to lose 12 strength after I end my play didn’t go into effect.
So he could basically win every last round guaranteed by playing 4 cards which he only should have one off. And then going an unclear (probably only to me) tactic destroying all me units passively (I understand the effect of the very imbalanced „black infantry archer“ of 3..5 damage for every new unit, but what kills the units after this first strike?).
I’m a little bit at a loss here and the game, while being fun in general is sometimes hart id you can’t understand the effects that destroy you…
Beast (Scoiatael)
3 Power, 5 Provisions (Common)
Harmony.
Deploy (Melee): Damage an enemy unit by 2.
Deploy (Ranged): Move a unit to the other row.

Newboy looks sadly at his talisman. "Oh well, this doesn't help at all..."
Welcome to the latest Monday Newcomer Thread, where you the community get to ask your questions and share your knowledge. This is an opportunity for the more experienced Gwent players here to share some of your wisdom with those with less expertise. This thread will be a weekly safehaven for those "noobish" questions you may have been too scared to ask for fear of downvotes but also can be a great place for in-depth discussion if you so wish. So, don't hold back, get your game related questions ready and post away, and hopefully, someone can answer them!
What you can do to help!
This is a weekly thread, meaning it will be posted once a week. Checking back on this thread later in the week and answering any questions that have been posted would be a huge help!
If you're trying to ask a question, the more specific you are, the better it is for all of us! We can't give you any help if we don't get much to work with in the first place.

Is it your overall position against all other players or just within your rank?
31 points for 8 provisions trading down to 36 points for 9 provisions. Fair play, GG. (I still won with this 2-0 push, likely because my opponent may have missed some of his/her important cards.)
Are people not comprehending this? Every other faction has gotten more buffs over time than nerfs. Except Nilfgaard. Do people not understand the complete and utter bias against NG there is?
Nilfgaard has to rely on Nuetrals to get by most of the time. The whole faction had been completely neutered. Literally in the first BC, Nilfgaard took HALF of all the nerfs. That's ridiculous, but people act like it's no big deal.
Even now, Nilfgaard has to get hit by repeated chain nerfs to core cards. If NG uses a neutral too well, both NG and the Nuetral card would be nerf.
I appreciate Lerio and Shinmiri for what they're trying to do but when they announced they're NG changes this BC, it read like, "Hmm, no one buffed Nilfgaard, I guess we'll pick up the slack."
The fact of the matter is Nilfgaard should be receiving at least 2 buffs from each coalition. I'll die on that hill. Like 6 buffs each BC. Not super meta breaking changes, just deserving buff. Than I'd at least say they weren't leaving Nilfgaard behind.
NG players in for a bad 2 seasons.
I doubt any coalition will propose reverts, and considering the surprising popularity of Henry and Calviet nerfs, NG will just get weaker and weaker.
Hi all fellow BC Voters,
Following the BC14 Voting Results, here's a quick post about the Voting Order for ease of dissemination, since this time I was a bit late with commenting on the thread itself (I blame the tequilas for that :P)
Happy Gwenting to the new (Xmas) festive season,
Hey everyone!
I’m currently at level 8 and exploring different factions to make my Gwent experience more diverse and fun. Here’s where I’m at:
Monsters (Self-Feeding): My main deck that got me to 2500 MMR, but it's starting to feel too linear and easy to play.
Skellige (Pirates): My starter deck, super fun at first, but I’ve played it so much that it’s starting to get boring.
Nilfgaard (Spying + Aristocrats): Loved the mix of tactics and strategy!
Syndicate (Crime): Just built this recently, and I’m really enjoying it. The combo potential and complexity are super satisfying.
I enjoy switching factions because it feels like I’m playing a whole new game every time! Now, I want to dive into Scoia’tael, but I’m not sure where to start. Any deck recommendations for fun and creative Scoia’tael strategies?
Also, do you think it’s better to stick to a specific faction or deck to get to the pro level, or is exploring different factions a better way to improve overall skills?
Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions! 😊

If you are whatever rank, let's say Rank 5, you don't go back to Rank 6 if you lose all mosaic pieces, independently of how much games you lose.
Learned that the hard way, now I'm Rank 4 having played mostly Skellige but if I play any other faction I simply can't win using starter decks, which is basically all I have since I don't have much cards of other factions.
Tips appreciated on how to complete quests related to winning with other factions.
The Renfri ping pong could drag on for a while so remember to include it in your BC to prevent reverts. The same with Sergeants and Slave Drivers.
We should push on with Ramon Tyrconnel or Vilgefortz for Nerfs because it is NG and still playable. You know what, how about we nerf EVERY NG card consecutively? There are still people voting for Sergeant and Slave Driver revert meaning there are still NG players alive and playing. Fuck NG players, they must be banished at all costs.
Also which faction to target next? I suggest Monsters because I don't like swarm, definitely not Skellige because it is the faction I play (Great work on the warlord revert guys keep it up!)
What are your thoughts on nerfing NG next BC?
good evening I am devastated for the balance council, we only do ping pong at each minus and only improve very few useful cards and it tires me, I no longer have hope for this game, especially since my favorite card, King Demavend, just suffered a nerf, it's too much for me the northern kingdom will never rise again after so much provision and nerfs.
Gwent's problem is to nerf the good cards instead of buffing the cards not played enough and well.
I disapprove of Lerio and Shin's decisions on most maps, in my opinion they nerfed the good maps instead of focusing on the maps to improve and I prefer not even to talk about Metallic and his hatred on NG.
I have been playing since the launch of the game and the northern kingdom and NG have suffered the most nerfs in years. In short, I wish you good luck with what remains of Gwent.
Hello everyone , i have created a tier list template for the current Balance Council patch for anyone who might be interested in rating each change .

Two days ago I’ve read about the card „Garmain Flamel“, which looked quite interesting to me (Instand kill of an enemy card by double poisoning it, 10 provisions, 3 strength, witcher). I wanted to build it into my deck instead of Gerald but couldn’t find it.
That’s what I tried so far:
I‘m at a loss here what’s wrong. But it definitely lowers the fun to know, that there are very good cards I can’t access but others can. Any idea how to find it?
That’s the card I’m talking about: https://www.reddit.com/r/gwent/s/jCHnwpi5Yk
