Hi all, question to all veteran GB4 builders. I''m looking to use the Strike Freedom's backpack to use the super dragoons.
I'm looking to increase the dragoons dmg. What abilities should I be looking at?
I do know that Attack Power: Long-Range EX & Funnels EX effect the dmg does Hyper trance EX effect the dmg too? And i think i recall that you can extend the duration due to the hyper trance?
Would appreciate any help anyone can give.
Hey crew! I want to break out of funnel builds and try something else. If I’m shooting for high damage what should I look at? I beat the game with a melee “melee” build (not sure how else to write that). Tried sabers, lances, etc…nothing worked for me like the melee part. Been using a caliburn build with different backpacks and having fun with funnels, but I want to try something else.
I've been posting some custom builds for a while and I have noticed some patterns with regards to how they're being upvoted. This isn't really a critique, but rather some observations I've noted and decided to post here.
- Conventional mecha tend to get more upvotes overall than Musume builds.
- Established mecha character builds tend to be more liked than original machines, unless the original machine built is a slight variation on an established character to the point it's still recognizable. This rule is still affected by the above rule; an established mecha musume is still rather niche and thus won't get as many upvotes.
- Mecha from series outside of Gundam tend to also get more upvotes at a higher rate than those within Gundam.
- Story posts don't really gain a lot of upvotes very fast, unless they concern a canon character with a recognizable unit.
- Mecha from series outside Gundam tend to gain more upvotes at a faster rate if they have a more conventional body type (i.e. humanoid type).
Please note all these observations pertain to my own posts and I haven't really considered other posts. Also I and hopefully you shouldn't treat this as a guide to optimize upvotes.
...But in case you were, the TLDR is as follows:
If you want to make a lot of upvotes very fast, make a recognizable mecha from a series outside Gundam that is super popular with a conventional body type.
Which is ultimately reducible to;
If people recognize and like something, they like it.
I'm not asking what the most popular part, just curious what's a part that you just can't NOT use in your own builds. I'm guilty of using the sub knuckle/large manipulator too often.
Marked spoilers because of the Carnation units, which I know are only available that way. Are there others, though?
If you mention DLC ones, please mark them such for those of us (like my broke ass) that don't have them - but go ahead and list them for those who do.
edit: Derivation Synthesis. I played too much GB3.
I know there is the Hygogg, but only just realised the original Gogg isn't in the game and really disappointed. I had really good build in mind that needed the Gogg's claws and now need to find an alterative likely from Capule if the Hygogg version doesn't fit what I have in mind.
I know its unlikely to get added, but wish they added the Gogg especially if it was the Thunderbolt version which is many times cooler then the original. It just seems odd not to have gunpla from the original series when other then the Gogg and the Zock every other MS that got a gunpla is in game. Not counting Char's recolour Z'Gok.
Sorry if this is a bit of a rant but I am a big fan of the Core Gundam and own every version of it along with all its armor variations. I have always loved its gimmick of swapping equipment to adapt to different combat conditions seeing it as a natural evolution from the ideas of the Strike Gundam.
When it was announced for DLC 2 I was really hyped but at the same time worried since all they showed off was its ugly patchwork appearance from the final battle. My hope was that they were just using that to show off all the different planet armor and that we would get alternate limbs for all its armor sets but I figured that might be asking a bit much from the DLC especially since GB tends to give build fighters and its spin offs a raw deal (Fumina only getting the GM cardigan and Lightning only getting its first backpack and not its cooler second etc).
I was hopful that we would at least get 1 full armor set and not just the patchwork mess that is its final battle version. Dont get me wrong i dont dislike the final battle version in the show because the context behind it makes sense it just using whatever armor it could grab but removed from that context i dont like it.
Unfortunately we live in the bad future and all we get is the desperate grab any armor you can final battle version. i kinda expected as much but I was hopeful that wouldn't be the case. The Core Gundam is an amazing platform for custom builds with its interchangeable armor and in my opinion embodies the very spirit of gunpla customisation so its a shame to see a game built around that very aspect of gunpla treat Core Gundam like an afterthought. Funnily enough they gave the Hi Nu ver ka all of its possible configurations which while im not upset about makes it even more obvious they treated Core Gundam as an afterthought.
