Noriko stays the same age but everyone else keeps moving forward. To her hardly any time has passed, to them they've lived their entire lives. Do you think that kind of serves as a metaphor for how we interact with fiction throughout our lives?
Like for example when Lilo and Stitch came out in 2002, Lilo was older than me. Now I'm four times her age. I can go back and watch the movie whenever and she'll still be the same age. And I keep getting older but she never will. As long as a copy of that movie exists there'll always be a kid who used to be older than me that became younger than me and it'll still be around even after I'm dead

Gunbuster 4:3 DVD recommendations
Looking to get 4:3 DVD copy to play on my CRT but only finding Chinese bootlegs. Just curious if anyone has any recommendations on a dvd copy I should look for or if these are my only bet. Any help is appreciated, thank you !

I just watched Gunbuster for the first time on Crunchyroll and really enjoyed it! Noriko's screams were really something else, but I have heard rumors that there was a redub of her screams at some point?
Besides having no idea why they would do such a thing, is there a video comparison between the two somewhere?

The vibe was completely different from gunbuster, however it was still fantastic
Also the ending hit so damn hard I really thought this was set tens of thousands of years after noriko and Kazumi make it back not before...
