Wife and I area playing through guild wars starting in prophecies. We like to play with more of a challenge and so generally like to skip the smaller quests and get through the MQL to get to the harder content quicker. Wife is super interested in controlling more than 1 hero whats the best way to unlock that ability the quickets? We do want to run through the story so we didn't just do a PVP charachter.

We want to get as much skills as possible to play with different build variations. Is the best way to do that by doing all the little quests we get that award us skills for our class or will there be a quicker better way to get those skills instead of doing those quests later on in the game?

just returned to the game for the first time ever. Been playing up until eye of the north then got GW2 (did not like that) and stopped playing (because of university and the work).

Now super excited to be back but after some research, seems like real solo farming (no heroes) is quite limited at least with my elementalist. Is that just me not finding the right info or is that really the case?

Back then did solo UW for ectos but now could not find any working build.

Appreciate any thoughts and overall still excited to be back.

I'm struggling right now building a good team to clear out Areas in HM. Any recommendation on what to change?

Hey, I installed guild wars on my steam deck and I was trying to add a bunch of builds to the build template folder only thing is that I can't find the build template folder. I installed the game through steam, on a steam deck. In game, the build menu still paths to c:/user/steamuser/documents/guild wars/templates/skills

I can't find the equivalent Linux folder nor can I tell if steam auto installed wine or something and is just hiding that from me. Any help appreciated ty.

Won a signed copy of Nightfall a few years ago at a Seattle event. I'd like to figure out who actually signed it.
There's a few I've been able to read like Gaile (Gray), and Tami Foote on the first side.
I'm sure it's a long shot as only the signers would likely be able to read their own signature.

Just came back to the game... I only have prophecies. Are there any good build for elementalists, warriors, ranger, necro, mesmer and monk that can be used for casual RA?

So you just finished that mission (Eternal Groove HM with sketchy builds let's say) by the skin of your teeth, your whole party almost wiped 3 times and your buttcrack is sweaty af because Master To(good to)go has been standing under 3 Ray of judgments to cast his useless spirit rift but somehow you made it through. You're relieved it's done and you made it! now sit back and watch that awesome cutscene , with awesome voice acting (it's sarcasm in case you couldn't tell). But oh no, bone minion level 5 summoned by Livia is hitting that npc and the noise is so obnoxious and loud you can't hear anything they say and the dramatic effect of the scene is flushed down the toilet.

Why didn't Anet fix that thing? It's basically guaranteed it'll happen considering how prevalent spirit/minion spammers are. Is it one of those mistakes that become "funny" unplanned easter eggs?

What heroway to you play as necro (or other caster) to have quick and fun herobuild to vanquish and doing hm stuff "solo"?

What's the argument against 8 ranger pets? I've given a pet to most of my heroes. Is the answer just the classic "it's alright, but it's not the meta"?

By that I mean least buttons required, no enchantment, shouts, hexes, combos etc. to think about or do, just C, Space.

This varies, but generally under 8 teams, but other team sizes can be considered in the overall. Same with specific content where you can't C, Space, but just generally over the most cases in the game?
