Was wondering what everyone is using and paying for Internet? Me and my fiance are moving later this month and looking for deals/providers.

Cowboys Line Dancing

Does Cowboys still do line dancing from 8-9 pm on Saturdays? I’ve never tried it but interested. Website says 8-9 on Saturdays, but there’s nothing on the event list.

Great affordable weekend breakfast

My husband and I went for dinner to the Shakespeare Arms this past week and the waiter told us about their weekend breakfast special - $4.95!!!

We went back for breakfast this morning (really good) and it wasn’t very busy, so I thought I’d spread the word. Definitely worth a visit! 🥰

Edinburgh and Paisley intersection

Hi all so this is probably a really stupid question. I don’t live in Guelph but live close enough that my job has me travelling there occasionally. Today and yesterday I was there and both times got held up by a train going back and forth over the Edinburgh and Paisley intersection, waiting at least 5min before I gave up and rerouted around it. Yesterday was just before 11am today was around 12:30pm. As an outsider is this a normal thing to happen and what exactly is it doing?

Kitchen cabinet painters?

Would like to get my very dark wood kitchen cabinets painted. Has anyone done this recently? Would love some recommendations for local people/companies you’ve used and have been great! General advice/words of wisdom also appreciated:)

Reported missing person sub deleted after this post.

Crazy the amount of down votes you get for pointing something out, alot of people go missing from Guelph that go unreported, I wouldn't doubt the majority of them are in there or taken off by train.. the same way all the drugs come in most likely. Not to mention the corrupt police force and politicians in this and every surrounding city working with gangs to do so, ext, ext.. (talking about 90 Carden and the meth, fentanyl, violence, ext)

Hi everyone, I wanted to know from you all what do you do for a living and how much do you make? Im currently a banking professional and not satisfied with how my career is progressing; and I really wanted to know what people do cz with the inflation and stuff...owning a home someday doesn't seem so in this lifetime. Thank you and appreciate all of you taking your time and providing your answers.

POLL: How often do you travel to Kitchener-Waterloo?

I know that Guelph is closely connected economically to the Region of Waterloo. I know there is data out there, but I’m just curious to put on my own study to see how many people make that journey. Am assuming most people drive this route, but if a public transportation option was available would you be inclined to use it? What would that route look like to you?

Guelph kids - you’re awesome! Happy Halloween.

Big kids, little kids, deep voices, teeny voices - all the trick or treaters in the north end have been awesome this year. I especially love the teens who come by because I remember what it’s like to grow up but still love Halloween. Their costumes are amazing, and they are so respectful. I have to remember to get the big chocolate bars for the teens. Sorry guys. Next year.

Happy Halloween, Guelph.

Jesus it’s windy!

It’s been so windy these past few days! Yesterday this tree was still mostly full and had about 40% of the leaves still purple. Today you can see through in several places and the wind is constantly blowing off leaves. I bet by tomorrow this tree will be mostly bald.

Employment Attorney's for Severance

Long story short, my dad got laid off from Linamar way back in May. When they intially laid him off they told him it was a temporary lay off. Now they emailed him saying it is a permanent layoff and have calculated his severance.

I was told by another redditor not to accept the first severance offer and to get a attorney. I was wondering if it is even worth it going aganist linamar. Does anyone recommend any employment attorney's that would look into our case and see if it is even worth pursuing. Has anyone had experience with getting a better severance from Linamar?
