I’ve been taking Androgel on and off over two years for 7 months in total (3 months the first year, four months the second year). I recently restarted and my doctor said I should be maxing out on my growth soon. Summer of '23 before going on the compounded testosterone cream, I was taking oral DHEA and my testosterone was 235 ng/dL, normal for women is 15-70 ng/dL....

Getting a prescription is highly unlikely for me since I live in Indiana and I'm on Medicaid. My primary care doc and gyno work for a Catholic practice, so they probably won't be able to help. And if they were able to, I wouldn't be comfy getting a prescription anyway because my grandmother picks up all of my medicine. Finally ready to do this, and already spoke to my doc who is fully capable of prescribing hormones, but she's not used to prescribing HRT so she's not comfortable with it. She forwarded me to some more knowledgeable docs/endocrinologists, but the wait times are up to 2 years to get in to those.

I'm going on vacation to be with my long distance partner in less than a month, and was hoping to get this prescribed ahead of that time so we could start this journey together.

My doc seems pretty open to prescribing things if I know the exact dose/product/have done the research ahead of time.

From what I've tried to gather on this subreddit, would something like "1% Testosterone, 5mg, compounded into a vaginal safe cream" be what I'd ask for? I have one more meeting with her in person before I leave for my trip and I'm going to see if she'll reconsider prescribing me a small amount just so I can try to reach orgasm easier while I'm with my long distance partner (who I only get to see ~twice a year).

For the last few years I've been experiencing horrible PMS with very heavy and long periods (~10 days of bleeding after 7 days of PMS=17 total days of dealing with this crap every month).

Is testosterone cream (2.5% applied to the clit 1x daily) likely to affect my cycle in a major way? I would be thrilled if it would alleviate my extreme mood symptoms during PMS and give me shorter, lighter periods.

I just looked at pics I took of my clit before starting T, vs pics I took this week (after a few months of T). It's genuinely much much bigger! The pics are shitty so I won't share them, but I had a nearly invisible clit before (think hooded and smaller than a grain of rice) and now it is at least the size of a pea, and visible! I feel triumphant. I think I'll go for a bit bigger but if it doesn't grow at all from now on, I'm still happy.

No real changes other than that, happily. However, since starting injections three weeks ago, I returned to weightlifting. I expected to be much weaker since I haven't lifted for nearly nine months; but no, I'm as strong as before or stronger. Could be the T, could be that I underestimated myself previously. Either way, I feel badass and I love it.
