Plugsound Samples.

I'm trying to find a copy of Plugsound Samples (PS01-06) with accompanying .au files

for use with Logic 7.2 on an Apple G4. OS 10.4.

This is old stuff...circa 2005 or so.

Can anyone help me get a copy?

How do I get the synth effect of The Streets' Blinded by the lights?

I want to achieve that effect that makes the synth start a lil bit later than the beat. How is it called, so I can search a tutorial in YouTube

Looking For Sample Pack GAGE - Grime 808s ???

Wuddup

I remember downloading a pack of 808's & Grime basses from Soulseek around 2013-2014 from one of current at the time artists of grime // deconstructed scene. I don't remember the name of it but remember that there were a lot of basses & pulse 808 variations, Im pretty sure it was pack by Gage https://soundcloud.com/gage or some of his peers like Supraman, Gundam etc.

Anyone have idea of what im talking about ? If yes, please share dat shit, lost it and going crazy looking for it since then

Soundtoys Radiator vs soft Tube tape?

Soundtoys radiator vs soft Tube tape?

How would you describe how they are different?

When would you use which one?

Do they really sound that different? One is Tube and the other one tape emulation I was reading.

Please let me know if you have experience with both.

Whats the melody in It Ain't Safe?

It Ain't Safe

I'm trying to figure out what composes the melody on the hook & verses.

Especially on the hook, what is it that creates that dududu-du, dudududu-du? I know it starts with a high-pitch melody before the rough dududu-du comes in - is that a a high-pitch synth?

I believe it's pads used on the verse with the kick, snare & grime bass.

Thank you in advance

I'm going on tour in Japan and then doing remote work whilst moving around Thailand, Viet Nam etc. I'll be bringing camera and microphone to make music videos and record with other MCs. I wanna try get a whole album together of this and need some grime beats. I've already made songs with Pakin and Catarhh Nisin and have more links in Japan - I made a one hour music video over there some years back. So yeah, if you're interested in submitting beats or have any questions reply to this thread or DM me here. Peace

Any good tutorials?

I’ve been making music for a while now but one of my first ever inspirations was grime music (grew up in London) n now that ik how to produce well I would love to get some grime tracks done but it seems like there are like zero actual tutorials regarding grime production (only 2 I can think of n they ain’t actually grime if u listen to the result).

Anyone here got any tips/resources y’all could help a vato out with?

The type of sound I’d be lookin to make is either a modernised version of the eski sound or things like what mystry/darq e freaker do n darkness did with eski thug for example

Ik this sub ain’t very active but regardless I hope y’all can help me out

how to find MCs

i've been making dubstep and grime for a while and i'm at a point where i'm pretty confident in my beats. i know people who spit but they are more into drill and UK hiphop and i make old school eskibeat style tracks; whilst they tell me they rate my stuff they don't seem too enthusiastic about rapping over grime. is there anywhere for producers and MCs to find each other online or should i just try to persuade my mates to give grime a go?

Secondly, how proactive should i be in this process? i have sent them stuff in the past (although it doesnt compare to my newer work to be honest) and it ended up in production limbo. should i just write it off when this happens?

i haven't really tried to work with a vocalist in over a year because it kinda left me demoralised about the whole thing.

Finally found Good quality, cheap and easy to use strings and brass.

Just thought i'd share here that if you own Ableton you can literally download, for free Spitfire strings and brass packs which are super high quality. Just log into your Ableton account, go to packs and look for string quartet and brass quartet. They've also got a device where you can quickly adjust adsr, what preset you want etc. Acc amazing.

Looking for feedback on my new 10 track project

My style is heavily inspired by grime, with hiphop and jazz influences too. 9/10 tracks are around 140bpm with a range of intensities, would love any feedback to help me improve further!

Looking for advice on typical vocal production techniques

hi there. recently got into doing some emceeing over grime, garage and DNB.

im using audacity to record my vocals but the raw recordings sound very raw and a bit breathy, bassless and not particularly good on the ear.

was wondering what the typical sort of effects people add to vocals over grime, garage and dnb are? and/or what typical methods of layering vocals are?

i have no idea what big artists do, but i guess im interested in what artists like Kano, P4van, Dirty Dike, Jehst, Ghetts, Chester P might be doing to give depth and resonance to their raw vocal recordings, and how that can be replicated in a program like audacity (just looking to try things out to try and find what fits for me)

Thanks my Gs

Bandcamp or beatstars

I’ve already started using beatstars but wondering if should switch to using bandcamp as I see a lot of grime producers using it or if I should use both.
