I’ve just started collecting DC comics today so I don’t know a whole lot about DC and Hal Jordan has always been one of my favorite superheroes ever since I was a kid and from what I learned today is that a Green Lantern gains power from a power battery. Does that mean that if a powerful enough battery a Green Lantern could technically defeat anything and anyone in the DC universe like Darkseid, Superman, Doctor Manhattan and more?
Jumped into Green Lantern past few issues, gotta get into the lore again before the series starts

Because, if am not wrong, the black lantern are like "zombies unic mission is spread death to all existence". But this batman use it like a weapon for good reasons. Is he the only "good" black lantern? Or the only "hero" black lantern?
Unless I’m misunderstanding something, or I was wrongly informed of Hal killing every lantern. This is issue 4 of John’s run when they are beginning to rebuild the corps
It doesn’t look that awful. I like the look of it. But that doesn’t mean I think the cgi is good. Is it fun bad?
Me personally i'd like to see the classic suits most, mainly for either Hal, Sinestro [that is until they set up Sinestro corps war if they do at all] and Carol [if she shows up at all]

Just got to issue 3 of green lantern and the John story seems to be branching off to war journals. Should I read them in release order or is there a better way? Thanks!
I'll admit I havent read Geoff Thorne's GL run just heard it was bad and panned by fans and I remember hearing somewhere that he dunked on Hal online and attempted pushing John but it didn't land
Anyways why do you guys either not like it or even like it and why?

Superhero storytelling not only is entertaining, but it could also inspire people in real life. It could teach how we can overcome our shortcomings and be better versions of ourselves.
In Green Lantern's case there's plenty of examples in over 80 years of comics. Like Kyle Rayner overcoming his fear and insecurities to become perhaps the most important Lantern in history.
Jessica Cruz beating mental illness to become a beloved superhero. Guy Gardner's undying loyalty to his friends, to the point where he prefers to receive the toughest punches in their place. Simon Baz having to fight against prejudice.
Hal Jordan's 20 year journey of accepting his failures and weaknesses but never letting them define who he is. Like early in the Johns era when he finds out where the lost Lanterns are and goes against Guardians' orders to rescue them despite knowing that they still hated him.
And in general the Lanterns' unwillingness to give up, even if the odds are against them.
Which moment in a GL story inspired you the most?

So we know Hal can and so can Kyle and Guy (although his solo book he wasn't Green Lantern. My question is out of the current Green Lanterns excluding Hal who is the most focused, which Green Lantern could be the focus and have a solo series that could last longer than 6 issues?
I saw someone on Deviantart combine some of the symbols by laying them on top of each other. https://www.deviantart.com/luigicat11/art/Combined-Lantern-Symbols-643451555 I thought, since Razer combined with Rage and Hope, the symbols combined and met in the middle sorta.
I figured I'd give this a shot and try to balance some of these out. Although I'm not satisfied with some of them, they're not terrible. Mostly this was just to satisfy my curiosity on how they'd look combined. I might do Gold and Sorrow later. Idk. Enjoy
Tearing into this bad boy this evening. Has anybody read this novel?
