I've been researching the GGS3 CNC machine lately, but I'm hitting some roadblocks. Most of the videos on YouTube keep getting taken down, and the info I’m finding in this subreddit seems a little all over the place.
There are a few GGS3 units for sale near me, and I’ve found a local dealer, though I haven’t called them yet to see if they have any in stock. For context, I work for a holster company, and we also sell optics. I'm considering getting the GGS3 to offer optic cuts for pistol slides, but I’m not sure if this machine can handle high-volume work.
Does anyone have experience with the GGS3? Can it crank out a bunch of optic cuts efficiently, or is it more of a hobbyist-level machine? I’d love to hear some feedback from anyone who’s used one for more industrial purposes.
Thanks in advance!
What storage case is recommended for a gg3 besides the box it came in. Looking for a hard case like a pelican style.
I've got the ghost gunner 3. I've got the engraver set from ggd with a 60⁰ bit. When I tried running the cut code from ghostwriter on the left side fcg, the bit started out cutting just fine but ran off the lower as it went back towards the grip. Anybody had this happen before? What should I look at first for possible problems and solutions?
Thanks for any input or advice.
Selling my unused gg3, you pay shipping.
Is there cut codes for 76% frames?
I remember seeing on the GG store they had 1018, 303, and 4140 steel blocks for the G0 builds. Now only listed is the 4140.
Obviously the 4140 is the strongest and most durable but does anyone have any feedback back on the 1018 or 303? Just deciding if it’s worth using the extra mills required to mill out of 4140. What about using 7075-T6 aluminum? At the end of the day I realize the mills aren’t that expensive.
I do have a GG3S.
Ive been looking for the P80 engraving bit for awhile and its been sold out at the ggd store for a while. I've tried emailing them, but my emails keep getting kicked back as "undeliverable". Its made by MITGI, but after looking through their catalog, i couldnt find anything that looked like it was the same, but i may have missed it. If anyone has a Mitgi part number, or knows of another brand that works, i'd be grateful if you passed that info along. Or if someone has one that is useable and willing to part with, i'd be open to purchasing. We could do it over on gafs if that works for you. And since you are here, im looking for the probe block and some of the tslot nuts, although i can get those from ggd store if need be, the bit is primarily what im looking for.
Can I use the AR15 cut codes for a 80% arms dedicated 9mm lower? I ordered the “all cut codes” usb and other stuff from GGD-store months ago but they never arrived. The thief took my $ along with everyone else’s. I have the 9mm printed jig just don’t have any idea of which cut code to use.
New to the milling process and just got the GG3S. Looking for additional tooling suppliers to source mills from. Checked out MSC and Grainger. Main question is performance wise how will a 3 flute mill vs 4 flute mill work? Will chip evacuation be an issue? Obviously less cutting edge so wearing out faster but any other concerns?
Does or has anyone ever used the ghostwriter program? If so how exactly does it work do I send a picture to them to have programmed?
Has anyone heard anything from those dickbags at GGD?
I got booted from their MeWe page for asking about my order.
My GG3s arrives today, I'm pretty dang excited
Hey all. I'm looking to cut a Glock for a Holosun EPS.
Willing to sell a GG3 without the upgrade for 2000. I never got a chance to use it after buying and want to free up the space its taking. Willing to sell with escrow through guntab. DM me or comment if your interested. I also have the listing up on gunbroker if you want to purchase through there.
EDIT: SOLD
After failing my HD22c but succeeding in all my other 2a builds, I’ve decided to give it up & thinking of maybe an ar9. The mag sucked, the bolt broke just from cocking it. Any suggestions?
Not much on youtube or Odysee, looking for tutorial vids and stuff but it seems like they dont exist or exist on a platform im not aware of. Anyone know where/if they exist?
Traying to buy V3 Spindle for GG3 on the web side take to long and dont even get ma order place it any one can help me ??? My GG3 V3 Spindle thread screw broke
Hey, I have a copy of Autodesk fusion 360 and am wanting to deck and trim the rails on a NM 1911 frame. I have the jigs, frames, and tooling to do the work. I have done a lot of work on my GG3S but am struggling with the Autodesk program. I laid out a drawing of the top section with rail dimensions and x,y,z axis but am struggling to program in the zeros so I can have the program execute the cuts with a 0.25 carbide endmill. I drew in the dimensions of the rails/top where I need it milled to, but unless I can code the zeros in and the probe commands into the milling portion of the program. Any help is welcomed.
Ghost Gunner 3S w/ necessary tooling, spare parts, Software USB thumb drives (including extras from GGD-Store.com), power cable, and USB-A to USB-B cable. DOES NOT COME WITH JIGS. The Ghost Gunner Jigs are disposable items and you'll need to 3D print new ones (codes included) or buy some directly from GhostGunner.net. New models are $2500 and I have a few hundred in spare parts included. Asking $2000. Not interested in trades.
Edit - not really interested in shipping since I don't have the original box anymore, and boxing up the toolbox for it will be a mess.
Purchased from DD when GG3 came out. I waited a year and half to receive and hurt my back during that time so I can’t really shoot. Comes with the original starter kit and I also purchased the 1911 jig as well as extra tools
Make an offer.
Need the GG3S. Prefer new in the box. Adding extra machines for additional work and experience.
Used once. I have a upper jigs and PCs for the ar15 upper cutout.
I want to use it more, but can't right now. $3k. Located in MS.
Bought in September of last year, finalized order in February. All shipping dates have missed. Feels like more of a scam. They offered a refund in June, accepted it and still haven’t received it.
This machine is seemingly overrated and requires the purchase of additional equipment that also has long wait times.
I think Cody is using our deposit money to fund the production runs, similar to Tesla with their vehicle deposits. In theory it works assuming you have production set up correctly.
The following email was received from Steve:

We appreciate your patience, and we want to explain where production currently is at. We had expected the BLDC motors that drive the spindle to arrive last week in time to replace the supply we exhausted. It turns out that we've been rather unlucky and the shipment is being held at the Port of Los Angeles by US Customs for inspection. We have been pressing, and thus far unable to get a date from them on when this is expected to be released. As soon as they arrive however our production will resume full bore as we have a fair number of units already built out just awaiting this one part.
We will provide a tracking number as soon as possible, but given that we are on the timeline of US Customs, it's difficult for us to provide an updated ship date until those are received.
As a result of these delays the owner will consider a refund if requested (crw@defdist.org – Cody Wilson) should you not wish to wait that long. If we can do anything else for you in the meantime just let us know how we can help.

Got close to $4000 invested in this GG3-S machine with the original purchase, the cost to return it to GG for the optic cutout upgrade, various jigs for the AR15, 308 and 0% kit and misc tools and cutters and I have yet to be able to successfully complete a lower receiver. All kinds of issues from the unit running the milling program while not actually in contact with the receiver to improperly milling the selector and trigger pin holes way off from where they're supposed to be thus ruining several lowers. Won't even get into the fact that the selector holes are too small for every selector switch I have tried. And now I get an Alarm 8 error which has basically bricked the entire unit and left me with a very expensive paperweight. For a unit that is touted as a high performance, DIY cnc machine that anyone can operate it has completely failed to deliver.
