Looking for an artist to help !!

If there’s any artists on here that are inspired by German expression do you think I could talk to you for a project I am doing on the movement , any help would be amazing . I just need to ask you a few questions to get info on what parts of your work are inspired by German expressionism , your thoughts on it , mediums you use etc. also an image of your work to analyse if that’s possible . Any help would again be amazing, thanks.

'Maria' - a charcoal sketch on fine textured paper of the original 'machinenmensch' from Fritz Lang's epic, Metropolis (1927). An obvious inspiration for the look of C-3PO from Star Wars and iconic in her own right.

'M' (1931), dir. Fritz Lang. Starring the wonderfully creepy Peter Lorre as the whistling serial killer.

Hi all, would music have been played during the original screenings of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and do we know what it was?

I have been looking for the film’s score/soundtrack but I don’t think it had one?

Taught the children about German Expressionism in my Abstract Art Histories class tonight. This one went over really well.

Interested in reading smth I wrote (it has pictures too)?

I recently wrote some essays for a film class regarding Expressionist horror films and their influences. One of them focuses on influences on Tim Burton films. The other focuses more on discussing antisemetic tropes, with a tangent about Goth culture. They're sort of like a series I guess? I talk about both topics in both essays. And there are some pictures, too.

Would anybody be interested in reading them if I posted a link?

Note that I'm an undergrad and this was an intro class, so it's not super professional and definitions are not super specific. Just figured it might be good brain food and someone may enjoy them like my professor did.

That Frame from Caligari

You know the one. I drew this right after watching for the first time, and love how it turned out.
