I have a senior photo shoot coming up, and the client has a cinnamon roll thing for willow trees. She’s asked to see if I can find anywhere between metro Atlanta & Chattanooga that has a willow tree.
Bonus if the property also has a Field or long grass nearby.
I recently upgraded from 35mm film to a professional grade camera system. I wanted to say hello and post one of my first digital photos of my favorite friend.
Hi, my name is Jaylen, I’m a fairly new photographer from Cartersville. This is a picture of my youngest son from yesterday’s Touch-A-Truck event.
Does anyone know of photography meet ups or photo walks for Georgia based photographers? Im kinda tired of going out alone even though I am super introverted.

I did not take these photos, but the Johnson Space Center allows them to be republished and they are in the public domain. They have not been labeled as being from Atlanta on the general internet before this post, so they are "new" to most. I think this post complies with rule concerning Original Content.
Nineteen seconds passed between the first and last of the photos. The first photo, 153665, was taken at 5:07:56 AM, EDT. The sunrise in Atlanta came at 6:28 AM. The photos are courtesy of the Earth Science and Remote Sensing Unit, NASA Johnson Space Center.
There is a post explaining what I am up to with posting photos taken by the astronauts on the ISS at https://www.reddit.com/r/ISS/comments/wsq2s4/located_some_iss_earth_obs_photos_and_posted_them/ .
This link has older photos of Atlanta : https://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/SearchPhotos/Technical.pl?SearchFeatCB=on&SearchGeonCB=on&IncludePanCB=on&SearchPublicCB=on&feat=Atlanta .
If you'd like, you can watch the map at https://isspix.com/ISS067 in the near future for when these photos and others are added as pin-posts. It is a map of recent social media posts from the ISS, mostly from Twitter, but also some from Reddit. It takes a little time to load and works better on a desktop.
Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone would mind sharing a good nature location in georgia to shoot some boudoir photos
Im doing a Halloween shoot in a fairy costume. Since it's boudoir it would need to be pretty private (maybe some off hiking trails stuff). And given the theme lush landscaping is a must
Edit: I'm located in the Atlanta area and I'm willing to drive a couple of hours (north/west/east) for the shoot
I have some bathing suits I need photographed and would love a nice waterfall as a background, preferably one the models could get pretty close to. Any suggestions in Georgia would be helpful!! Even if we have to hike to the location
Hey everyone! I love the idea of this sub so I wanted to add a short guide to one of my favorite local Atlanta parks: East Palisades.
This park runs along the Chattahoochee River in Sandy Springs / Marietta and has several great spots for photos. There are two entraces to the trail and both have very limited parking so be sure to arrive early: South Entrance or North Entrance. The south entrance has a great spot on the river to let dogs or people play in the water and can be a good place to take portiats or active shots. The north entrace is accessed by a long dirt road but is much closer to the highlights of the trail.
The southern end of the trail winds along the river before climbing the sorounding hills for a senic overlook. It then desends down the other side to a bamboo forest which is a far hike but well worth the trip if you're willing to lug your camera bag in. Sunrise along the river can make for some outstadning morning shots as the light hits the top of trees on the west side of the river, even better are the sunsets where you will be able to capture the setting sun over the treetops. Misty mornings can also capture the steam rising from the river but the shot can be dificult to capture. Fall is the best time to capture the changing colors but any time of the year works because of the evergreen trees. The overlook can offer wide panaramics of the river and surounding forests. Make sure to pay attention to the little details as you hike so you can make the most of your time on the trails.
A few more of my photos can be found here or on my instagram and feel free to ask any questions you guys have about the park!
