I bought a front pair of used OEM wheels off a 2023 Genesis G80 Electric in North Carolina. This is the same year/model car I have. I wanted to replace the back two wheels so I can run a square set up for winter.
My tire shop said the TPMS from the NC car wouldn’t work with my car. They swapped my back wheel TPMS into the NC back wheels.
Shouldn’t the TPMS sensors from the NC vehicle work on my vehicle? Sure, the serial numbers may be different but the tech protocols for the sensor to communicate with the car is the same.
With my prior car, a Kia Optima hybrid, I bought wheels from a neighbor since they sold their car. It didn’t require any programming. At least the tire shop didn’t tell me they did, just that it would take a couple miles for them to associate with the car.
I decided that I may just go back to what I know, and get an older generation Genesis. I had a 2016 G80 and loved it. Cried to see it go. Just want to see if the pricing on this '17 is good.
2017 G80, pano roof, AWD, heated/cooled seats, 69,000 miles for $19,000, 1 owner, no accidents. Is the price where it needs to be from a Hyundai dealership? There are lower miles 2017 and 2018 models in the $22,000 range which is not where I want to be for a used car, I kinda wanted to be in the $15,000 range to be honest for used. But whatever.
I am out of touch with the pricing on used cars I haven't bought one in a minute. any hellp
Finally got both cars out and took a pic
Hello, I posted that I was worried about my order won't ready in 6 weeks as dealer said because that car would be shipped from Korea. But thankfully, I got my coupe in time as she said. I post this to share my case!
The 2026 models feature newly redesigned front and rear fascias, a distinctive 3D grille pattern (exclusive to the GV70), updated wheel designs, and an enhanced interior cabin. Highlights include a 27-inch OLED integrated infotainment system, a refined Nappa leather pattern, and ambient mood lighting—a testament to the ongoing evolution and refinement of the GV70 lineup.

Genesis EVs are really efficient
I am getting nearly 400 miles range in my G80 (EPA range: 282 miles). This is with a 20 mile commute, of which 60% is freeways.
Apart from range, love everything about G80 — luxurious, quiet, and pretty fast if you need it to be.
I see a lot of comments about how the lease deals are great, but they're older comments so I'm not sure if they still apply.
(I have never purchased or leased a new car so I'm learning a lot)
Is the advanced at $6k down due at signing and $469/mo for 33 months, or the Standard for $339/month still looking like a great deal to everyone?
Any other thoughts on leasing a GV60?
Thanks a bunch for any input!
Hey everyone,
I'm moderately familiar with cars and know this deal seems too good to be true, but want opinions of people who know more than me. Found a deal for a 2015 Genesis coup, title in hand, 36k miles, runs, $4,000. Only issue is...the engine is ticking. Found out its on its second owner, and the timing belt hasn't been replaced. I'm willing to put around another 1,000 into it for repairs, but want to know if it's even worth it. Thanks.
Greeting fellow genesisers
I got a new G80 ME specs , it have cclC27 infotainment screen , unfortunately it doesnt have wireless car play , i took it to the dealer to update it , they say they did but nothing , then i downloaded the official software for genesis updater and there is no update for the 2025 cclC27 , it only applies to the GV80 , also we dont get the app here in the Middle East so yeah. am i messing something ? Is there a way around ? Can i download the gv80 version ? what are the differences ? i’ll add my current cclC27 version and ss from the app later today. Share your thoughts or solutions. Have a good one fellows
It's a 2023 and has only 7,000 miles. It's on a ford dealers lot for about 68k. They won't budge on the price as they say it has already been discounted 12,000. The dealer is offering a nationwide 20 year, 200,000 mile warranty on the engine, transmission and front suspension. (I'm assuming I have to hit the oil changes right on the mark EVERY time to keep that warranty good)
I gotta say in one way this is a pretty poor purchase. I'm single and have a dog. So that luxurious back seat is only going to be for my dog. On the other hand, I'm a "sedan" kind of guy. I love the idea of a big, powerful, luxurious executive sedan. I hate that I have to use premium fuel. Anyway, I'd love some thoughts from the Genesis community on the car, the price and whether I should just got get an suv so the dog can ride in the back instead of the back seat. Thank you in advance.
And for G90 owners, how is the reliability.
Hey folks, looking at picking up a new Genesis. The online pricing seems to come back meaningfully lower for dealers in the area still operating in partnership with Hyundai than those as a standalone/exclusive Genesis dealer.
Any downfalls to be mindful of in leasing from a Hyundai dealer and then having ongoing service/maintenance done at a Genesis exclusive dealer?
Thanks!
How is the overall reliability and maintenance?
Saw a few used ones out of warranty, wondering what I’m getting myself into
Driver side axle went out and no matter what parts dealer I look at besides oem only have passenger side. I am not spending $2500 to buy both oem axles, are they the same axles or are they actually different. Laying under the car they look identical but are marked LH and RH.
Please help me.
I have the standard 265/40/22 tires on my 22 GV80.
I need to put winter tires on it (mandatory in winter where I live)
I got an amazing deal on some almost-new 275/40/22 winters. But I'm worried the little extra width may not fit, especially the front.
Surely someone out there has tried this and could advise?
Thanks!!
My 2024 GV60 was dead in the garage, so I called Roadside Assistance. They sent AAA to jump. AAA read the battery as 3%. Jumped the car. They're indicator said the 12V was 95% charged, but when they stopped their current from flowing, the battery was back at 3%. They ordered a tow truck.
24 hours later, the dealer tells me the battery is charged, and there are no faults recorded in their diagnostic. They think I must have left something on, but in retrospect, over the previous few days I noticed that the amber dash light (indicates the propulsion battery is charging the 12V) was on a lot more than usual.
Then I remembered setting the door-open light control to auto a week or so ago. The dome light was definitely not on all night, but I'm wondering if that switch may hold the key to the mystery.
Anyone else had a similar event?
I want to buy a GV80 Coupe but I can’t find a straight answer. Also if im forced to import one from the United States would I be able to service my GV80 Coupe at a Hyundai dealership?
I recently got a 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8 v6 and as you can imagine its damn near impossible to find any aftermarket parts for it other than for the coupe. What websites could i find some parts for it specifically just looking for exhaust tips right now.
Im doing a valve adjustment on my 2015 genesis 3.8, which requires replacement of the solid lifter tappets if they are too far out of spec as the shims are built in to the bucket. Three of my exhaust tappets are were far out of spec and caused a loud ticking cause the shims underneath were heavily worn. After removing them I've finally hit a brick wall. They dealer says they have no clue how to tell what sort tappets my car needs because there are around 50 available. The consensus online is that there is a formula for determining what size buckets you need for your car. My thought is my cams look great just give me the same tappet part number that came stock with my engine. Alas, hyundai doesnt know. Any techs that can help me with my struggle? There are numbers on the bottom but they arent part numbers and they dont look like measurements.
Planing to do a chrome delete on my 2025 GV80 coupe. Looking for feedback on what’s worked or hasn’t worked. Biggest obstacle seems to be the front grill because of the intricacy of the diamond shape. Asked my paint guy and he said it will likely chip if I paint. Any feedback welcome.

I have been really digging the GV70/80 and have been considering getting a top trim Genesis due to the performance and interior. The only hesitation I have is the horror stories of getting service. I am in Northeast Mass/Southern NH. Does anyone with a Genesis in that area have feedback? I currently have a Subaru and I have only had great experience with the 3 service department I have used in the past 10+ years so a bad service experience would turn me off from this brand.
Just over the past 2 weeks ive came accross this issue where when i turn my car off it just loses all power or sometimes when i go to start it all the power just dissapates. Ive came across one tiny thing that seems to temporarily solve the problem but would i ve able to buy a new peice for this battery for a reasonable price? Over the past few days ive noticed when i press this peice or give it a wiggl3 everything will come back to normal.
I have a 2023 GV70 3.5T Prestige. I understand it’s a compact SUV. However, I just think it looks more like a retro style beefed up wagon. I ordered it in 2022 and I’m still I love.
