Hey everyone,
Next year I am getting married. I am a huge nerd (as in my proposal was during DnD) so I would like a as fantasy as possible wedding. So I really like the Teuta matoshi and fancifull doll dresses. But I am not sure if that is a site to trust
So in conclusion, if you have any tips for ballgowns, fantasy decoration, nice suits worthy for an adventure, beautiful crown, swords, ... anything else that pops in your head when you think fantasy wedding. (Even Pinterest boards) Please let me know.
Thanks is advance!
Hey Guys! I need a little help, my fiancé and me are planing a more medial wedding (for example our Inspiration is Baldurs Gate 3, our Invitations are inspired by Lies of P, my Bouquet is a Sword). Now I bought a Miniature of the Dark Moon Greatsword for the Boutonniere and was wondering, how can we or I let flow in his favourites games like Elden Ring, Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Do you have an idea? We have an Glass Ringbox now, so we can't buy Alexander anymore 😂 maybe someone have an Idea?
We are planning on putting "Achievement Unlocked" signs around our wedding. For example, on the bride and groom's table there will be a sign that says "Achievement Unlocked, Duo: You found your Player 2"
What are some other unlocked achievements we can put around the venue - Bar, cake table, ceremony site, guestbook, etc? Of note we are doing a February, mountain wedding with a (likely chilly) outdoor ceremony.
A couple of my good friends are getting married and I am officiating. It’s going to be a super laid back party at a brewery (cosplay encouraged), and halfway through we will turn the music down and have the ceremony.
I am looking for some creative ideas that will allow our friends to be involved in some way.
What I have so far:
reimagining some lines from the LotR to include some shoutouts to the crowd (who then shout back).
after the line about opposing the wedding and “speak now or forever hold your peace”, a masked man wielding a lightsaber will duel the groom (he knows about it), for the right to Wed his love.
Any one else have some cool ideas they don’t mind sharing?
Hey all. So I need some public help. My wedding is in a month and im struggling with some song selections.
I'm wanting to do a zelda themed song to dance with my Step-mom to. The reason for this is because she is the one who introduced me to the LoZ franchise. So I thought it would be special for our dance to have LoZ music.
Was wondering what suggestions you all might have. So far I have Zelda's Lullaby and maybe the Fair Fountain theme.
Hi! I am officiating my friends wedding and up until two weeks before (today) I thought they were writing their own wedding vows, turns out they aren’t. They are pretty non traditional so I was hoping for some wording for officiant led vows that isn’t stuffy and boring, and maybe even a bit nerdy. They are gamers and love sci fi so I’d love to subtly hit on that, but don’t necessarily have to. Just hoping for some unique/non traditional ways to have them to their vows. (They don’t want to read anything they want to just to the repeat after me style I think)
My fiancée wants his drink to be a Gin&Sonic. Buuuuut we are trying to figure out a way to make it less of a hassle on our bartender friend we’ve hired.
Also if anyone has any bridey cocktails that are fun I’d appreciate. I came up with gin and sonic and apparently that’s it
Hi all, I'm getting married in a few weeks and I want to enter the ceremony with something Tolkien-y. I was thinking a rendition of one of the hobbit's songs, specifically their drinking songs for cheeriness, but I can't seem to find any good renditions. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Worth noting that I haven't actually watched the movies, so if it's in the soundtrack somewhere please let me know what to look for, cause it didn't pop up on youtube.
I’d really like to incorporate something video game related in my wedding vows. I’m trying not to be too cringey, but I’d like something like “I promise to always be your player two. From saving the galaxy, to exploring new worlds...” etc. I’m trying to include something from the games we play together but I’m struggling a bit. We play a lot of Halo and Zelda together as well as many other first person shooters.
Hi all,
I just started https://www.reddit.com/r/weddingtechnology/, a forum to share ideas and discussions around the relatively new field of "wedding technology". I foresee it being a field that only will continue to grow for the next years, especially after the creativity we couples had to find during Covid.
If you see any cool ideas, articles or tech that relates to wedding tech, please feel free to join and post in the forum :) See you there!
