Making Game Genie Codes for #-Z for Sega Genesis. You may make a game request, but please also suggest cheat code ideas (the less codes a game has, the higher odds I can make a code)

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hB5BS6463guXc4dxnwX9_gJyXHY0OE021MBDuwap4vI/edit?usp=sharing

All my codes. Look at the Sega Genesis section.

I currently do not have codes yet for B, D, I, J, L, M, N, Q, U, X, Y, Z

and I plan on getting around to this, early next year.

https://gamehacking.org/system/gen

If you choose a game that has lots of codes, I need an idea from you for what to make.

If a game has a low amount of codes, then it's fine if you got no ideas, as there's a high chance I'll be able to create something.

Quick Question

Does anyone have any gg codes for graphical corruptions?

Specifically some for Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

I've been looking to get into corruptions and I haven't really been able to find many corruption codes, hence why I'm asking here.

For context I'm doing this on the gens emulator. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nintendo Vs Arcade NES Ports - Insert Coins with button Presses Codes

There’s a couple Nintendo VS Arcade machines that got ported to the NES, when I went to play them, I couldn’t add a coin with the controller. You can add coins with the emulator but on console you only have the controller. Noticed it with a couple of the ports and wanted to add a “Add coin with button press” so when you press a button it adds coins so you can start the game, instead of being stuck at the “insert coin” menu. These codes may or may not affect gameplay, comment below if you notice any issues with gameplay

Please comment other arcade ports that might need a coin code, any nes game that requires the usage of the “insert coin into slot 1” in the emulation menu. There are some havks out there that fix some but here are some codes if you need them

Vs ExciteBike (NES) arcade port

Auto Credits(skips title menu):

SATAZY or SAVAZYSZ

Any Button adds Coins(might break game):

IIYOKZ or IINOKZIP

VS Super Mario Brothers

Auto Credits(skips title menu):

SEAAPX or SEEAPXSX

VS Castlevania

Auto Credits:

SAGLNN or SAKLNNSK

VS Clu Clu Land

Auto Credits:

SAZVOP or SAXVOPSZ

Post flairs should now be enabled. Won't require it at this time

I won't force it, since our community is small. Also, if there's more important flairs I should add, let me know.

My Zelda 2 childhood story

During my childhood, I owned Zelda 2 for the NES, and the game was just too hard for me to beat.

So, ended up using a game genie.... since it's real hardware, I was limited to 3 lines of codes, and was also limited to the game genie book, made by galoob.

Zelda 2: Adventures of Link

SZKGKXVK Link has infinite lives

PASKPLLA Link starts with 1 life

TASKPLLA Link starts with 6 lives

PASKPLLE Link starts with 9 lives

AZUOLIAL Mega-jump

OYKEEVSA + NPKEOVVA Swap Shield spell for Fire spell

LYKEEVSA + VAKEOVVE Swap Shield spell for Spell spell

LZKEEVSA + OPKEOVVA Swap Shield spell for Fairy spell

IIKEEVSE + VAKEOVVE Swap Shield spell for Life spell

VTKEEVSA + OPKEOVVA Swap Shield spell for Thunder spell

Since I was limited to 3 lines of codes, I most likely used the infinite lives, mega jump for most runs... as I remember jumping over the rock throwing enemies a lot back then.

Anyways, I managed to beat the game like this, but throughout the years, I kept going back to Zelda 2, and tried to beat it legit. It wasn't until adulthood, that I finally mastered the combat, to be able to beat it.

Also, because of Nintendo World Championships, NES... I mastered the game.

Moral of the story, don't be afraid to use some game genie codes to make a game easier, because if you love a game enough, you're skills will most likely improve in time.

Want to post, but don't know what to talk about? Here's a list of ideas!

Helping any fan of this community, who wants to post here, but has no clue what to post about.

  1. Self Promote any video, as long as it's game genie related.

  2. Post thoughts about a game genie code you tried out. Is it fun? Lame? Is it only useful with other codes?

  3. Post glitches, that are only possible with a game genie code.

  4. Speedrun a game, with a game genie code enabled.

  5. Post random game genie video (discussion, gameplay, etc)

  6. If you made a code ever, talk about your experience. Was it easy, was it confusing?

  7. Give a story, (maybe your childhood) about a game you loved, and how you use a game genie code.

  8. A Game Genie meme.

  9. Ask for help, for how to make a code. (If you learn, you can make codes for games that lack codes)

  10. Create a family friendly debate related to the game genie. The point is to just get different opinions, not to get heated.

Super Mario World allows Yoshi & Baby Yoshi at the same time

https://youtu.be/jf2VvdU47YE?si=l7ESpT1JAhByPNYv&t=237

My video showcases this, and you can have Yoshi eat a baby Yoshi.

As of right now, I only know how to spawn in a baby yoshi, by replacing an existing enemy in the level.

if you want to replace enemies, you'll need a SNES debugger.
EXECUTE 02A97A
It will give you the address for each enemy that spawns (when you load a level, & when you walk further)
(2C = color yoshi, 2D = green yoshi). The color depends on what enemy you change.

Rules, flairs, other changes?

I added a basic rule atm... I might add some more, but since this is a small reddit, I don't want to make the subreddit super strict.

Is there something this subbreddit really needs? Especially for fans who been using this subreddit for a long time.

I added a banner and profile pic as well for this subreddit. Thoughts?

Personally I like the profile pic, but the banner, maybe it can be changed.

Connecting multiple games together

I was always told as a kid that if you connected a couple of NES game Genies together you would get more lines to enter in codes I have no idea if this is true because I've never owned multiple game genies to test this but I would like to know is there any truth to that or not? I'm not sure if it works for the other versions of the game genie either . So I thought I asked this here and see if anyone has done this or willing to do this if they have a couple game genies lying around because this is something I wanted to know pretty much since I was a kid. Thank you in advance.q

My own SMB3 cheat.

There are two codes required for it to work: EXTXTL IETXYL It gives you the tanooki suit if you use any powerup or your powerup state is updated. However there are some side effects that are there. There are sound glitches and the inability to move to another worlds or enter the warp zone.
