So my wife is trying to spark her memory about a GBA game that she used to play so we can get it but doesn't remember much and so I thought i would take a shot in the dark and see if anyone might somehow know off her vague description. Here is what she said:
"GBA game that is in a cave with bats. Hearts on the top of the screen for health kind of like zelda"
Saw a clip of castlevania and said it reminded her of this game she used to play.
I know it's not much but just thought I would see if any wizards out there might be able to identify! I feel like there was a sub for these sort of questions but I can't remember the name.
Just bought a GBA with a modded LCD and playing Metroid Fusion, but the game doesnt allow me to put it to sleep. I can select SLEEP with the Left Trigger and the screen pulls up, but it only sleeps while I hold down the face button on the right side. When I hold down A, it sleeps but as soon as I release it, it wakes up, effectively making sleep mode useless. Only way I can get it to sleep is by putting something weighted and heavy on the button to hold it down, but obv thats not ideal.
Is this normal for modded GBAs? Am I doing something wrong or is sleep simply not compatible with Metroid Fusion? Help!
Charging light flashes orange for a second and then nothing after that, any ideas? AGS-001 Gameboy Advance SP btw
I dont have the means to buy the japanese GBA protector and its a bit hard to find. So I made one for myself.. I need to iterate the design more. And also i I want to put a microfiber backing so the protector wont scratch the screen. Finishing this project soon after my pokemon faceplate series.
My GBASP has this weird little quirk where sometimes out of nowhere, it goes red, but then i flip the switch 1-5 times, and it turns green again for a good amount of time
Is this normal for the GBASP, or is there another reason it'd be acting like this?
Hey, I recently got a Hispeedido V5 screen without lamination and a retrosix shell as I wanted a crystal clear one.
However, after receiving both, I noticed that the retrosix shell has a larger cut for their screens than other shells. Even though the retrosix site mentions that the shell works with OEM screens. Which, to my knowledge, is the same size as the Hispeedido v5.
Now I am afraid I wont be able to position my screen well within the shell as I have nothing to fully lock it into place.
And since the cut for the screen is larger, its a lot more difficult to position it well at all.
Any tips or experiences on how to go about this are welcome!
After years of working with electronics and modding GBAs I decided to do a screen lens replacement on my childhood GBA. Plastic pry tool slipped, the rest is history
Glow in the dark shell, purple buttons, speaker upgrade and screen IPS
Street Heroes is an unlicensed fighting game for the Famicom and Game Boy Color, released by Sachen. Story: Far away in the Aotis continent, sword coexists with the magic. People there all have unimaginable power. So it brings up lots of warriors. Now, the best warriors - Rex, Malcolm, Roger, Big Whale, Daphe, Ned, Rock Tiger, and Dark Moon get together for a race. However, there is some scheming behind the race... This was one of the few games by Sachen to be ported to the Game Boy Color. Although the developer remains unknown, it's possible that former Sachen programmer Ei-How Yang had a role in developing this version.
Im really excited to finish my personal gen 1 pokemon faceplate shells.. i’m just waiting for my shells to be delivered. 🤞
Hi all. recently I've been doing my best to transfer a cpu and ram to the funnyplaying motherboard. All was going well until i believe one of the pins on the cpu fell off (the far left one on the bottom set of pins.) Is this going to require me to get a new cpu or is there some way i can fix it? Any answers are appreciated!
